Please follow these steps on how to pair the camera using the YI Home PC App:

1. Launch the YI Home PC App and log in to your YI Home Account

2. Tap the + button

3. Click I hear “Waiting to connect” at the bottom of the screen. If you don’t hear waiting to connect click on the link called, I did not hear it.

4. Under Connect to Wi-Fi enter the password for the Wi-Fi router. Select Connect to Wi-Fi.

5. Then face the QR code directly at the camera. If you hear “QR code scan is successful,” press next.

6. The camera will go into retrieving pairing status that can take 1-2 minutes until the camera is successfully paired with the App.

Enabling the auto tracking feature on a PTZ (Specific Models Only)

1) Log in to the PTZ camera.

2) Ensure your camera is using the latest firmware.

3) Set a ‘Home Preset Position’ on the camera (This is where the auto tracking will always start from when enabled).

4) From the cameras live display (main screen) select the option from the image below

5) From the dropdown select ‘Auto Tracking’ which can be found at the bottom of the list.

6) Once auto tracking has been selected, press the ‘Play’ icon to start the auto tracking feature.

7) Stop the auto tracking using the ‘Pause’ icon.

8) The next step is to set the ‘Automatic Recovery’ option. This option will allow the camera to resume its auto tracking if the camera is manually moved and then abandoned without re-starting the auto tracking.

9) Set the option in the ‘Auto Recovery’ to whatever your requirements are. In the example below, the camera will resume its auto tracking after 1 minute of being abandoned after manual control. These settings can be changed as required.

It is free software provided by Amcrest that can provide a means of accessing all your devices in one central location without the use of a plugin or web browser. How To Install Using Windows

To install the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software on your computer, click here.

To begin installing the software, double click the provided .exe file. to begin the installation. Please note, if you have Windows Defender SmartScreen or certain versions of Norton running on your machine, please allow the software to be downloaded on your device. If Windows Defender is blocking the software, click on More Info then click on Run Anyway to begin installing.

Please note, this is a trusted software and will not harm or have any negative impact on your machine.

On the initial setup screen, select your language from the Select Language dropdown menu. Click on the I have read and agree checkbox and agree to the End-User License Agreement (“EULA”) agreement. To read the agreement, click on the agreement link provided. Once complete, click Next to continue.

Select the functions that you want to install with the software. You can choose to bundle the PC-NVR function with the software. PC-NVR turns your computer into an NVR and will utilize your hard drive (HDD) on your PC to store and access recorded video. To proceed with the installation, click Next.

Select an installation path for the software. To choose a folder, click on the Browse button and select the folder. Once a folder has been selected, click the Install button to begin installing the software on your computer.

Please note, if there is an older version of Amcrest Surveillance Pro detected on your machine, the new software will overwrite the old software. However, the device list information will still be reserved. Click Install to install the new software.

To generate a shortcut icon for the software on your desktop, click the Generate shortcuts checkbox.

Once the software has finished installing you will see a few options available. You will have the option to view the release note and run the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software. To begin running the software directly after pressing finish, select the Run Amcrest Surveillance Pro checkbox and click Finish to proceed.

Setting a Password

After the installation of the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software, you will need to set an administrator password. This password will be the admin password for the software. When a valid password has been entered, confirm the password in the Confirm Password field and click Next to continue.

This software provides password protection questions which can be answered in the event that you lose or forgot your password for the software. Select an applicable question from the Question dropdown menus and fill in the answer for those questions in the Answer field. Click Finish.

The software has now been properly installed on your machine. The password for the software will be saved by default on the login screen. If you would like to have your computer remember this password whenever you open the software, click Remember Password. If you would like the software to automatically log you in whenever your machine is reset, click Auto Login. Click Login to open the software.

How To Install Amcrest Surveillance Pro on Mac

Amcrest Surveillance Pro is the most stable and recommended method of accessing your devices from your computer. It is a free software provided by Amcrest that can provide a means of accessing all your devices in one central location without the use of a plugin or web browser. How To Install Using Mac

To begin installing the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software on your computer, click here.

The download will be a Google Drive link, however, please be assured this is a trusted software and will not harm or have any negative impact on your machine. Download and open the .pkg file.

Note: Your machine may recognize this as a coming from an unidentified developer and cannot be opened. Do not worry, it doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong with the software. You can easily override your settings and open the product by following these official steps recommended by Apple.

1) In the Finder, click on the Downloads tab and locate the Amcrest Surveillance Pro pkg.

2) Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner and select System Preferences.

4) In the System Preferences menu, click on Security & Privacy.

5) In the General tab, click on Open Anyway to begin opening the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software.

6) Click on Open.

7) In the Installer prompt, click on Continue to be guided to the steps necessary to install this software.

8) Select a Destination for the software and click Continue.

9) Click Install (enter any security passwords needed for your machine and click Install Software).

10) The .pkg has now been installed on your machine. Click Close to exit. The Installer can be kept on your system or moved to the trash if you would like.

11) Click on Finder and open the Applications tab to locate the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software. Double click on the application to open the software.

1. Once you have installed AVSS (download AVSS PC Client  / AVSS Mac Client ) to the directory of your choice, open the application by double clicking on the icon on your desktop.

2. When AVSS opens, enter your Zosi account name and password. These will be the same credentials you use to access the Zosi Smart App for iOS and Android.

If you don’t have a Zosi Account, select the register option and complete the fields.

It’s strongly recommended that you set up your account using the Zosi Smart app, as you will be able to utilize the QR code found in the DVR’s Information > System screen. CLICK HERE for Instructions on how to connect your Zosi Smart app to your DVR.

3. Once you’re logged in, select the drop-down icon to the right of the “Device List” option. This will reveal the Device List. 

4. Once your Device List is revealed, select the drop-down icons to the left of the device option to reveal your cameras.

The blue square highlighting 1/4th of the quadrant represents the area that you will assign your channels to. From the Device List, double-click on the channel you wish you assign to the quadrant.

5. Once you double click your selected channel, it will begin playing in the assigned quadrant. It may take several seconds to load the stream, and depending on your internet connection, may take longer with each stream you view simultaneously.

Select the next quadrant by clicking on the black box. This will highlight the quadrant in a red box. Continue assigning your channels to the quadrants as desired. 

If you wish to view more than 4 cameras at once, select a separate layout by clicking one of layout icons located below the videos.

If you want to add the device on your AVSS client, please select “Add Device” to add the device.

Section 1 – Replacing hard drive on newer models

IMPORTANT: The instruction in this section is applicable to the following products (if you have an older recorder, please go to Section 2 below):

Removing the hard drive

Step 1. Power off the system, and unplug all cabling from the system.

Step 2. Turn the recorder over, then remove the 6 bottom panel screws as shown in the image below.

Step 3. Turn the recorder over carefully, then lift the top panel so you can access the hard drive.

IMPORTANT: The wiring to the front panel button and USB port runs along the top panel of the recorder. When separating the top panel, rest it carefully beside the bottom panel as shown below.

Step 4. Now carefully remove the power and SATA cables from the hard drive as shown below.

Step 5. Carefully pick up the hard drive to lift the bottom panel, being mindful of the sharp edges of the bottom panel. Remove the hard drive screws (4×) from the bottom panel. Hold onto the hard drive so it remains in place when all screws have been removed.

Step 6. If you are not immediately going to install a new hard drive, replace the top panel and the 6 bottom panel screws.

Installing a new hard drive

IMPORTANT: If you are replacing your hard drive, please note that you don’t need an extra SATA cable. Your recorder is already equipped with one SATA cable inside it which you can use for your new hard drive.

WARNING: Make sure that your recorder is OFF and the power adapter is disconnected before removing/installing a hard drive.

Step 1. Insert the 2 hard drive screws closest to the SATA and power ports on the hard drive and tighten them half way. See image below.

Step 2. Power off the system, and unplug all cabling from the system.

Step 3. Turn the recorder over, then remove the 6 bottom panel screws as indicated in the image below.

Step 4. Turn the recorder over carefully, then remove the top panel.

IMPORTANT: The wiring to the front panel button and USB port runs along the top panel of the recorder. When separating the top panel, rest it carefully beside the bottom panel as shown below.

Step 5. Line the 2 half-inserted hard drive screws with the 2 holes shown in the image below.

Once you have inserted the hard drive screws to their respective slots, it should look like this.

Step 6. Carefully pick up the bottom panel with the hard drive, being mindful of the sharp edges of the bottom panel. Slide the 2 pre-inserted screws into the locked position, then tighten the screws. Insert and tighten the 2 remaining hard drive screws.

Step 7. Connect the power and SATA cables to the hard drive.

Step 8. Replace the top panel and the 6 bottom panel screws.

Section 2 – Replacing hard drive on older models

IMPORTANT: The instruction in this section is applicable to the following products (if you have a newer recorder, please go to Section 1 above):

Removing the hard drive

WARNING: Make sure that your recorder is OFF and the power adapter is disconnected before removing/installing a hard drive.

Step 1. Power off the system, and unplug all cabling from the system.

Step 2. Remove the back panel screws (4×). Remove the cover by sliding it backwards.

Step 3. Turn the recorder over carefully. Remove the 2 hard drive screws closest to the edge of the recorder. Loosen the remaining 2 hard drive screws, but do not remove them.

Step 4. Remove the power and SATA cables from the hard drive.

Step 5. Slide the hard drive out of the recorder.

Step 6. If you are not immediately going to install a new hard drive, replace the top panel and the 4 back panel screws.

Installing the hard drive

IMPORTANT: If you are replacing your hard drive, please note that you don’t need an extra SATA cable. Your recorder is already equipped with one SATA cable inside it which you can use for your new hard drive. If your recorder has two bays, you can install one more hard drive (for a total of two hard drives). When installing an additional hard drive, please note that the extra SATA cable is included in the accessory box.

WARNING: Make sure that your recorder is OFF and the power adapter is disconnected before removing/installing a hard drive.

Step 1. Insert the 2 hard drive screws closest to the SATA and power ports on the hard drive and tighten them half way.

Step 2. Power off the system, and unplug all cabling from the system.

Step 3. Remove the back panel screws (4×). Remove the cover by sliding it backwards.

Step 4. Insert the hard drive so the 2 pre-inserted screws line up with the holes in the bottom panel as shown below. Slide the hard drive in place. Insert the remaining 2 hard drive screws, and tighten all 4 screws tightly.

Step 5. Connect the power and SATA cables to the hard drive.

Step 6. Replace the top panel and the 4 back panel screws.

Usually, the POE NVR system we sell includes several POE IP cameras so that camera can be plugged into NVR’s ethernet port directly.

But some customers may need to connect non-POE IP cameras to NVR.

In this situation, the cameras should meet two requirements below.

1. The IP camera must support the onvif protocol.

2. The IP camera’s resolution had better equal to or lower than resolution NVR.

3. The camera should be connected to the router, by cable, or by wifi. Therefore, a wireless camera is also OK.

Here are the steps:

1. Please use a network cable to connect the IP camera to a router, and connect the camera to a power source by adapter.

2. Connect the NVR to the same router by network cable.

3. Go to the Main Menu—Config—Channel to search the camera’s IP.

4. It will detect the camera’s IP. Add it to the system.

Come back to the main screen and the image of the IP camera appears.

3. Locate the DAV file you wish to convert, and click, “Open”

7. Change the, “Export Format” to, “AVI”

How to connect an IP camera to the DVR?

Notes:

1.The IP camera needs to support onvif protocol.

2.The DVR needs to support IP camera.

3.The resolution of the IP camera should be equal to or lower than that of the DVR’s IP mode.

Click [Main Menu] Enter the password which you set on DVR system. If the password is not set before, the default is null and just keep the password box blank.

Click [System]-[Digital]-[Channel Type] to enter the channel type setting interface. Please change DVR to IP mode or IP analog mode. After the mode is changed, the syetem will restart.

Please connect the DVR and the IP camera to the same router with ethernet cable respectively so that they are working under the same network. （If it is a Wi-Fi IP camera, it will connect to the router via Wi-Fi rather than via the ethernet cable.)

Please click [Search], select the camera, click [Add], input the password and then click “Apply”.
