How to Install xmeye poe nvr systems

1.Power on the NVR with the 48Vor 52V power adapter.

2.Connect your NVR to the router.

3.Connect the NVR to a monitor via VGA or HDMI cables.

4. Connect the PoE Cameras to the NVR with the PoE Ethernet cables.

5.Switch on the NVR and turn on the monitor.

6.lf your monitor doesn’t have a speaker, you can connect a speaker to the 3.5mm “AUDIO OUT” port to get sound from the recorded video.

Getting Started Settings

At your first login to the system, there will be a quick guide to help you set up the basic information of your NVR.

Time Setup

Please adjust the time and date to be the same as your local.

On this page you could see the network information about your system. Click “Next” to continue.

Install XMeye App

Scan QR code of the App to download the app.After the app downloaded, please create your own profile account on the app. And then scan the QR code of the serial number of the NVR to add it into the app. Please ensure the NVR is online before you watch videos of it on the App.

CameralChannel Setting

Before installing your cameras to the final position, please check and adjust the position and the angle of the cameras.

Display

Adjust the display settings of the monitor images

General Setting

In the General Settings, you can change the language, the action when the storage is full and the auto logout intervals if you want to get a better protection of your NVR.

Record Configuration

In the Record Configuration, you can set up the record mode for each channel to save space of the HDD and only record the important videos. 

Channel: The channel which you want to do settings of record configuration.

Length: The standard length of each video segment.

Mode:The way you want to record videos. 

1.Schedule:The selected channel will only record during the chosen time period.

2.Manual: The selected channel will record 24/7.

3.Stop:The selected channel will not record any video.

*Notice: If you would like to set the recording mode to “Alarm”, please make sure that you have enabled the alarm function of the corresponding channel.

Alarm settings

lntelligentAlert

The Al smart security camera system supports intelligent alerts.such as human detection and face detection. In order to adjust the related settings, please enter “Intelligent Alert “in “Alarm” menu.

Channel:Choose the camera which you want to do alert settings. 

Enable:When you tick off it , the camera will not detect any movements. 

Human Detect:The camera will detect human activities by recognizing humanoid body shape.

Face Detection:The camera will detect human face when this is ticked. 

Record: When this option is ticked on, the camera will record a video segment when human detected. 

Mobile Reported: When it is ticked on, the camera will send alert notifications to your mobile app when it detects movements or human activities.

Alarm Sound: When it is ticked on, the camera will sound a voice alarm when it detects movements or human activities.

Sensitivity:Adjust the detection sensitivity of the camera. 

Rule:Set advanced detection rules like safe zone or line cross alarm. 

*Notice: If the “Enable” option is on and the “Human Detect” is off, the camera will detect all movements, including pets, vehicles, plants, trees, etc. Therefore, we recommend you to active “Human Detect” to reduce false alerts. It shows that “Human Detect” function can reduce 98%-99% of the false alerts.

Advanced Settings of Human Detection

Period: The time period of the detection. 

MD Interval: The interval between 2 human motion movements alerts. 

PostRec: To adjust the length of the video after the camera detects abnormal movements.

On screen of the monitor with live video , you can view the human faces detected by the cameras. You can easily and quickly get whether the persons detected by the camera are your friends or an intruder. If it is an intruder, the face detection function can help take some actions as soon as possible to protect your safety and property. Please follow the path below to enable the “Face Detection”.

How to Set Up Your Email to Receive Alert Notifications

Please follow the paths below to set up the email which you want to get alerts from the security camera system.

Right-Click Menu > Main Menu > Network > Net Service > EMAIL (Please OUBLE CLICK on “EMAIL” to enter the setting interface)

Please enter the required information of your emails in the “User Name” “Sender” and “Receiver”.
If you want to receive the alert notifications with an email different from sender email address, you can input a different email in the “Receiver”.
In the “Password”, you need a 16 digits App password. Let’s take “Gmail “as an example to show you how to get this password.

How To Get 16-Digit App Password

Enable IMAP access of your e-mail.

Log into your Google account. In “Security” section, find “Signing in to Google”.

If the “2-Step Verification” is off, please enable it.

Enter ”App passwords”. Select the app and device for which you want to generate the app password, or you can name your own app and device, then click “GENERATE”.

You will get a 16 digits password, this is the password you need to use later to set up your e-mail notice in NVR system.

* Notice: You are not able to review the password after you click “DONE” so please note it down or leave this page open.

Rule – Safe Zone & Line Cross Alarm

We can set up a safe zone for our camera.

The camera will only detect or sound alarm when there’s abnormal activities in the safe zone. Click on the “Set” button next to “Rule”.

When we choose “Tripwire” in stead of “Intrusion”, there will be a line on the screen and the camera will only detect or sound alarm when people cross this line.

When the video blind alarm is triggered by channel 1, because you have set channel 2 to record videos too, so the channel 2 camera will also record videos and you will have videos with multiple angles of this burglar. These evidence will help police officers to catch this criminal.

Snapshot Configuration

In “Snapshot Configuration”, we can set our cameras to take snapshots.

Cycle Capture

When we choose “Cycle Capture”, the camera will take snapshots periodically. For example, the default snapshot period is 64 seconds, it means the camera will automatically take snapshot every 64 seconds.

EMAIL: When this option is on, the NVR will send the snapshots captured by the cameras to your e-mail address. 

FTP: Not applicable. 

Storage: When this option is on, the NVR will store the snapshots captured by the cameras in the HDD. 

Timing Capture

When we choose”Timing Capture”, the camera will take snapshots at the time that we set.

Playback

In this part, we can review the video records taken by the cameras.

There are 6 different playback modes:

Common Playback: You can review all the video records.

Common Playback: You can review all the video records.

*e.g.:
On May 1st, you only have your channel 1 recording videos;
On May 2nd, You have your channel 1 and your channel 2 recording videos;
In “Common Playback”, you will see that there are records on May 1st and on May 2nd;

Dayparting: You can review the video records of the chosen channels during the selected period.

Smart Express: The selected alarm type videos will play at normal speed. The remaining videos will speed up to save your time. 

Smart Search: You can review the video playback of the selected alarm type within the selected time period. 

Face Search: You can review the video playback of detected human faces in the selected time period.

How to update a uniarch NVR?

To update the firmware of a Uniarch NVR, we must enter the equipment directly or through the web interface with the administrator access data. Once inside this interface, we click Settings , then Update and finally NVR Update :

The update can be done manually, by clicking on Browse and searching for the files for the model and firmware corresponding to the equipment, or through the Cloud, by clicking on Check new version . If there is a recent version, it will be displayed in a window from where we can start this process. If there is no version available, the following message will be displayed:

It is recommended not to interrupt the update process to avoid future problems with the operation of the NVR.

How to delete EZCloud account in uniarch NVRs?

When an NVR is added to an EZCloud account, it can be seen in the list of added devices (within the EZCloud page ) as follows:

To delete this account from the NVR, you have to log in directly or through the device’s web interface using the administrator user’s access data.

Once entered, click on Configuration , then on Network and finally on Mobile Service or UNIARCH . Within this section, the EZCloud username and its status appear.

When you click Delete, a window will appear with the following message:

By clicking OK , you will start the unlink process with the EZCloud account. When this process is finished, another EZCloud account can be linked.

User management in UNIARCH NVRs

User management in uniarch NVRs allows you to set a limit on the permissions that each of them can access. To manage these functions, you must enter the recorder interface as an administrator, either directly or through the web interface (by typing the IP of the device in the browser) and logging in as shown below.

Once entering the interface of the recorder, go to configuration and then click on User.

Within this menu, the list of added users appears and above it, three buttons to add, edit or delete users. Clicking on Add appears fields where you have to fill in the access data and permissions for this new user.

Once the username and password have been entered, clicking on User Type will bring up a drop-down menu with two options: Operator and Guest.

When you select Operator , the four basic permissions boxes are automatically checked. Otherwise, if Guest is selected , these four checkboxes are unchecked, so only the basic permissions needed for the corresponding user should be selected.

Below are the camera permissions. In the permissions of two-way video/audio, PTZ control, playback and local backup, by clicking the downward pointing arrows, you can select the channels that the user in question can access.

Once we finish configuring these fields, we click on save and a message like the following will appear, redirecting us to the list of added users.

In the example below, it will be logged in as the user who was only given access on channel 1 to live view and two-way audio.

When trying to view video from another camera on any of the remaining channels, the following message will appear:

In the same way, if this user tries to modify the settings of the cameras, the recorder, or make reproductions and backups of recordings, the message will appear mentioning that he does not have the permissions to carry out this action.

Finally, if you need to modify or delete a user, first select the corresponding column and then edit or delete.

In this way, access to the functions that users have on our equipment can be limited.

Uniarch camera compatibility chart with XVR Uniarch and UNV

The objective of this article is to show the compatibility of the new analog cameras of the Uniarch brand with the XVRs of UNV and Uniarch.

As is well known, the main points to highlight for the compatibility of a camera with a recorder are:

• Resolution in Megapixels.
• Frames Per Second (FPS).
• Compatible technologies (AHD, TVI, CVI, CVBS).

In this case, due to the resolution and video technologies, there is no major problem, however, in the FPS is where some recorders differ from those of the camera, this can be reflected in the fact that the video is not displayed in live view and recordings .

This only applies to 5MP cameras since they come with 20 FPS by default, and some recorders support these FPS in a single channel or accept 5MP at 12 FPS.

For example , in the Uniarch XVR-104G2 it accepts 5MP cameras in all its channels, only in channel 1 at 20 FPS while in the other channels 5 MP at 12 FPS, for which it is necessary to change the FPS directly in the menu Camera OSD.

How to backup video on a Uniarch NVR?

This article will walk you through the step-by-step process of backing up recordings from cameras added to a Uniarch NVR.

First, we log in through the web interface of the NVR:

Once we have entered, we click on Playback:

Within this section, on the left side there are two drop-down menus, from which you can select the type of recording and the definition configured to search for the respective video clips. Below is the calendar to select the day from which you want to recover the recordings. On the right side of this calendar, there is the time bar, in which the video will be displayed according to the time the recording events occurred.

The Record Type and Record Definition drop-down menus contain the following search options.

Once the type of recording and the definition have been selected, the equipment from which we want to observe the video clips is chosen from the list of cameras. The recording will be displayed in the time bar, indicating with different colors if the video started due to a detected event or if it was carried out normally. If we click Play, the playback of the recording starts. We can advance, delay or modify the speed of video playback.

It is very important to verify that the time on the recorder is in sync with the current time, otherwise the recordings will appear on different dates and times.

To make a backup of these recordings, click on the download icon next to the name of the selected camera.

A window will open in which we can select the camera from which the videos will be downloaded, as well as the time interval for this search. When we click on the Search button, a list of clips will appear showing the time of recording, the duration and the type of file, being able to select several boxes at the same time. Finally, we click on the Download button.

A box will appear at the top indicating the download percentage of each video clip and, later, in a bar above the playback box, the folder path and the name with which said file was saved.

And finally, clicking on the path will open the download folder with the audio clips in mp4 format.

How to configure time and motion recording on Uniarch NVRs?

The following guide shows how to configure time and motion recording on Uniarch recorders.

First, we enter the recorder, either directly or through its web interface.

Then we click on Settings

Once inside the settings, we select the Storage option. Other sections will be displayed, of which we will click on Schedule. Within this window we can select from a drop-down menu the camera for which we want to modify the type of recording and configure the seconds of pre and post recording. We must verify that the recording schedule box is on.

By clicking on Edit, a new window will open, where we will establish the hours and types of recording of the cameras as shown below.

Below, we can copy this setting to the whole week or just check the box for the days these recording times are required. Finally, when we click OK, the calendar is now displayed in different colors according to the type of event configured.

Once these changes are saved, these recording settings will be applied.

How to manage and order IP cameras on a Uniarch NVR?

● Click to edit the settings, including protocol, IP address, port

Click to remove an IP device, or select multiple IP devices and then click  Remove  .  Channels corresponding to PoE ports or switch ports cannot be deleted.

● Click to change the IP address of an IP camera and door.  The IP address of a DVS cannot be edited from the NVR. means this function is not available.

How to add a network IP camera on a Uniarch NVR?

Add an IP device

This section provides multiple options to add an IP device. Some options

they are only applicable to certain NVR models. Please choose one as appropriate.

1. Click Camera > Camera > Camera . The system automatically searches for IP devices and lists the discovered ones.

● This Status means that an IP device has been added successfully and that it

you can click to view live video from the IP device. means the IP

● Idle Bandwidth is displayed to indicate the current bandwidth

TWO PRIMARY FEATURES OF IP CAMERAS

Two-way Audio

Nowadays, many internet protocol cameras come with two-way audio support. Two-way audio provides an intercom facility and is beneficial at places that cover larger areas, like warehouses or factories. This audio mechanism can be integrated with the door lock to grant access to specific people after validating their identity. The audio features coupled with intelligent analytics can detect loud noises to keep everyone at ease. Video Compression

IP camera is capable of intelligent automation like turning on automatically whenever motion is detected or performing various analytical functions within the camera. Video compression is a unique feature associated with IP cameras. Since most of the recorded footage is the same and useless for the enterprise, it is smartly compressed according to the IP camera’s data to deliver the necessary footage to the user. STEPS TO IP CAMERA INSTALLATION

IP camera installation requires specific steps to be followed. The type of hardware used, or the installation site may lead to some alterations in the process.

Installing network infrastructure

The first step of IP camera installation is the detailed mapping of the complete infrastructure, the location, and the type of cameras and devices to be installed.

Because depending upon this, a proper matrix of network and power cables is run through the walls and the ceilings to all locations, ensuring optimum coverage. Required provisions need to be made for different components.

Selecting the right camera

If the IP cameras are compatible with PoE (Power over Ethernet), then necessary network switch with PoE should be used. Power output should also be kept in mind while choosing network switches according to the devices connected as some switches have a power budget which limits the power to all the ports.

Installing camera mounting brackets

Every IP camera is made in different shapes and sizes and needs customized installation. So appropriate camera mounting brackets need to be installed. For some cameras, the frame and the camera require separate installation, while some have integrated mounting brackets. After installing the structures, the cameras are installed and connected with the required power and network cables.

Plan Ahead

Surveillance camera requirements tend to increase after the initial installation. After the first batch of cameras is installed, adding more cameras at other locations arises. For example, in a retail store, the cameras installed towards the shelves or cash counter may not seem enough. You could install additional cameras or swap existing cameras with wide-angle cameras facing the shelves to ensure maximum coverage. Configuring IP camera to the network video recorder (NVR)

Now that everything is set up, from network cables to IP camera and brackets to the video management system, it is time for final adjustments. Once the camera view is available on the monitor, you can adjust the field of view and the camera’s focus. Some cameras like PTZ allow to pan, tilt, and zoom the camera footage and be adjusted using VMS from the computer.

You can check remote viewing on various devices. And finally, the image quality can be reviewed and matched with the enterprise’s needs. Several video analytical features and intelligent alerts can also be customized using VMS to suit the organization’s demands. PoE stands for power over Ethernet. With PoE cameras both the power and data are supplied by the Ethernet cable. There are several different setup methods you can use when setting up a PoE camera. Below is a representation of each method we will discuss in this article:

Using a PoE Swtich

This is the most common and direct method of setting up a PoE camera. To start, run an Ethernet cable from a PoE network switch port to the PoE camera. The PoE network port will provide power and data to the camera.

Using a PoE Injector

A PoE injector will be needed only if the switch is a Non-PoE unit. An active PoE injector will supply remote power to the PoE camera via the injector. Most Amcrest PoE injectors provide up to 15.4W of power and are IEEE 802.3af compliant. To start, run an Ethernet cable from the non-PoE network switch to the input port of the injector. This will supply data from the network switch into the injector. Apply the power cable for the injector into the power port and plug the power cable into a power source (wall outlet, surge protector, etc.). Next, run another Ethernet cable from the output Ethernet port of the injector to the PoE camera. This cable will supply data and power to the PoE camera.

Using a PoE Splitter

A PoE splitter is used to power non-PoE cameras from a PoE switch. Keep in mind this can only be used if the switch is a PoE unit. A PoE splitter splits the PoE signal into a separate power and Ethernet data source. This allows you to run Ethernet cables from a POE Switch over long distances, and then split the PoE signal into a separate data and power sources to run non-PoE devices.

To start, run an Ethernet cable from the PoE switch to the input port on the splitter. This will supply data and power from the PoE switch to the splitter. Next, plug an Ethernet cable into the input Ethernet port of the non-PoE camera and plug the cable into the output port of the splitter. Lastly, use the connection adapters provided with the splitter to power the non-PoE camera. Most Amcrest PoE splitters can output voltages of 5V, 9V, or 12V.

Using a PoE Injector and Splitter

If the network switch and camera are both non-PoE but you would like to have them run as PoE devices you can utilize both a PoE injector and splitter in your setup. To start, run an Ethernet cable from the non-PoE network switch to the input port of the injector. This will supply data from the network switch into the injector. Apply the power cable for the injector into the power port and plug the power cable into a power source (wall outlet, surge protector, etc.). Next, run another Ethernet cable from the output Ethernet port of the injector into the input Ethernet port of the PoE splitter. This will supply data and power to the splitter.

Next, plug an Ethernet cable into the input Ethernet port of the non-PoE device and plug the cable into the output port of the splitter. Lastly, use the connection adapters provided with the splitter to power the non-PoE camera.
