How to connect a LaView Saturn Series IP Camera to a Non-Saturn Series NVR

1.Connect the LaView Saturn IP Camera to a PoE switch or a Router (12V DC power supply is needed to connect to non-PoE switch or a router)

2.Install the IP Search Tool on your PC (https://www.laviewsecurity.com/files/saturn/Saturn%20Series%20General_IP%20Config%20Tool_Eng_V4.09.11.T.20180403.exe)

3.Activate the IP camera in the IP Search Tool

4.Modify the IP address by clicking on ‘Modify IP’

5a. If you are connecting the camera to the NVR PoE port, set up the Target IP to 192.168.254.xxx (xxx being a random number from 2-254), and Gateway to 192.168.254.1, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0. Then unplug the camera from the PoE switch or Router and connect it to the NVR using Cat5e cable.

5b. If you are connecting the camera via LAN, use DHCP or set up the IP address to your network range. For example: Target IP 192.168.0.217, Subnet 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.0.1

6. Go the NVR Menu => Camera => Camera.

7. Click on the channel which the camera is connected to (ie if the camera is connected to port 3 on the back of the NVR, click on channel 3). If you are connecting the camera via LAN, Click on any unused channel.

8. Change ‘Plug and Play’ to ‘Manual’ and enter the camera IP address (192.168.254.xxx or 192.168.0.217 as in previous example)

9. Change protocol to ONVIF and Management port is 80

10. Enter user name and password you set up when you activated the camera in step 3.

11.Apply the setting and wait for the camera to be connected.

12.Adjust video setting such as resolution and frame rate in Parameter menu.

What should I do if I connect a LaView Saturn Camera to LV-N96, LV-N95, LV-N98 series NVR but only get 720P maximum resolution in main stream?

If you only get 720p in mainstream, it means the IP camera is set to H.265. Please use the following instruction to switch the camera to H.264 compression.

1.Connect the LaView Saturn Camera to a PoE switch or a Router (12V DC power supply is needed to connect to non-PoE switch or a router)

2.Install the VMS Client software on your PC (https://dahuawiki.com/images/Software/SmartPSS/General_SMARTPSS-FLIR_Win32_ChnEng_IS_V2.002.0000007.0.T.190122.zip)

3.Add the camera in the VMS Client Software

4.Go to Remote Configuration Menu

5.Go to Camera > Encode

6.Change the Encode Type to H.264H for both mainstream and substream

7.Save the setting

The system worked seamlessly until last week when it suddenly shut off and now won’t come back on

Would suggestion you follow the instruction below for troubleshooting,

1.Please ensure the cameras are connected, would suggest you to connect them directly to the PoE ports at the back of the system.

2.At the day time, try to cover the camera lens with your hands to see if there is a IR red light on the problematic cameras. And please also check if the camera goes hot when it is connected.

3.The camera appears not to get powe if there is no light and heat. We will need to check if it is the camera/port/cable issue.

1.At first, please switch the problematic camera to the workable PoE ports to test. You can also go to your PoE Configuration setting to check the power.

2.If it still doesn’t work with another port, please exchange the cable to check again. If possible, you can also add the camera to another system to confirm the problem.

Please contact our support team for further support if it does not help.

NVR is showing offline on Platform Access menu

In this case, please check the connection between the router and the NVR. Unplug and plug the ethernet cable to make sure the connection is solid.

Then go to the NVR system, enable ‘DHCP’, “Obtain DNS Server Address” and ‘Platform Access’, disable ‘DDNS’ and check if the status of the NVR changes from “Offline” to “Online”. Please see the pictures attached as a reference.

If it doesn’t work, please try to reboot the system to see if the issue can be resolved.

How to add Wi-Fi Cam (One PT ) to your NVR

1. Make sure One PT camera and the NVR are well connected to the same LAN.

2. Enter the camera management menu of NVR, select an unoccupied channel, and click the “Edit” icon to add the camera manually.

3. Make sure the adding method is manual, select the ONVIF protocol, enter the correct IPv4 Address and password of the camera.

(Please click the link below, download the IP Portal software to your PC/laptop. Then open it to locate the IP Address and the management port of your camera.)

(Kindly note that the One PT Cam password is the same as the verification code shown on the silver sticker at the bottom of the camera.)

4. Click ‘Ok’ to save the settings and then you will be able to view the One PT camera on

your NVR.

Password Reset via XML files

Please find a 12V power adapter to power up your camera. And directly connect this camera to the router with an Ethernet cable if you need to reset the password via XML files.

Please power on the device (NVR/DVR/cameras) and connect it to the router via an ethernet cable first.

Then find the attachment and follow the instructions to export the XML file and send it to us. We will help to generate a key file and send it back to you to reset the password.

Kindly pay attention to the following when you export the file.

1. BOTH THE EXPORTED AND IMPORTED XML FILE IS VALID FOR ONLY 24 HOURS.

2. MAKE SURE THE DEVICE STAYS POWER ON AND ONLINE AFTER EXPORTING THE FILE.

Password Reset by Secure Code

1. Click on the Menu button on the top left.

2. Click two times(2X) on the bottom left. Use the left button on the mouse for this.

Push Notification

If you would like to receive push notifications on your phone, please

1.make sure your system is added via P2P connection (QR code) or DDNS (port forwarding).

2.make sure you have correctly set up the motion detection settings on your system. You can refer to this video to double-check your motion detection section: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGeCbTmPY2U&t=188s (Motion detection: 5:22)

3.check “Notify Surveillance Center” box on your camera settings. Please remember to enable it for each of your camera and tap the “Apply” icon to save the changes.

4. enable “Alarm notification” setting on the LaView Connect/LaView Net app settings

5. allow the app to send you notifications on your phone settings

Setup Email Notification

Please refer to the instructions to set up the email notifications. Here I will take the Outlook account as an example. (Sorry that Gmail is not supported anymore, please use other email addresses to set it up.)

First, please go to the Outlook mailbox settings and enable POP option.

Secondly, please go to your camera management settings -> tap into ‘Settings’ -> find ‘Linakge Action’ to enable ‘Send Email’ for each of your camera.

Thirdly, please go to your system menu -> find ‘Configuration’ -> find ‘Network’ -> click the ‘Email’ option and enter the email information:

1.SMTP Server: outlook.office365.com

2.SMTP Port: 587

3.User name: your Outlook account

4.Password: your Outlook account password

5.Sender’s address & Receiver’s address: your Outlook account

After filling out the email information on this page, please tap the ‘Test’ icon to test if the system can send an email to your email. If it is set successfully, the system will show ‘Email test succeeded’ message as the following picture shown.

If you fail to set it up, the system will say ‘Failed to send test email’.

If you do meet this situation, please take a screenshot of your email settings and send it to LaView Support Team, so that we can further check your specific problem.

Set up DDNS

You may follow the steps below to enable the DDNS feature,

1.Log in to http://laviewddns.com/ and set up an account

2.In the NVR interface, enter the correct account and setting in DDNS menu

3.In the router menu, assign Port 80, Port 8000 and Port 8554 to the IP address of the system

4.Go to www.canyouseeme.org to ensure the ports are opened

Set up PC viewing by PT Cloud

If you need to remotely view your system when you are not under the same Wi-Fi, please try to follow the steps below to set up the P2P connection.

Before adding your system to the PC software, please make sure your system is connected to the router(network) and is showing ‘Online’ status. Please go to your system menu -> Configuration -> Network -> PT Cloud/Platform Access to double-check your system’s online status.

Here I will take my NVMS V3 as an example.

1. Go to NVMS V3, go to ‘Maintenance and Management.

2. Click ‘Add’ here.

3. Choose ‘PT COULD’ here.

4. Log in to the LaView Connect app. Go to the ‘More’-> ‘Account Management’. Note down the ‘Username'(which belongs to your LaView P2P account) and ‘Country/Region’ information.

5. Get back the Client Software.

6. After logging in to the PT cloud account, please tap ‘Online’ and search for and choose the online device you would like to add.

7. Input the verification code set in ‘Platform Access’ in NVR and tap the “Add” icon.

8. Then you are good to go now.

9. Go to ‘Main View’ on the Client Software, you are also required to input the same verification code to watch the cameras. Please input the one as #7.

Set up PC viewing by IP address

Please download the PC software NVMS V3 or NVMS 7000 on your laptop to set up PC viewing. Kindly find the tools at this link: http://www.ltsecurityinc.com/downloads

Here are more instructions about the NVMS V3.

In the example, NVMS V3 will automatically detect the online device so we are adding the device with its IP address. In this way, the system and the computer will be requested to connect to the same local network so that the software can auto-detect the online system.

1. Please go to ‘Device Management.

2. Please go to ‘Online device’ and your system will be found automatically.

3. Please choose your system from the online device and click on ‘Add’.

4. Please enter the admin name and the admin password of your system in the box popping out.

5. Your system should be added and please go to ‘Main View’ on the home page.

No video on monitor

Will need to confirm the resolution of the camera first. Kindly note that the resolution of the monitor should be higher than the camera’s. Otherwise, the monitor will go black. Please get in touch with our LaView Support Team and provide the model number of your camera as well as your system if you do not know the system resolution.

If the monitor and system work fine before but quit working suddenly, please change the HDMI/VGA cable to check this issue.

If you have another monitor, please also exchange it to see if it can work. If necessary, you can also try to access your system on your computer to double-check.

As for PC viewing, please download the PC software NVMS V3 or NVMS 7000 to your computer/laptop to get access. (Kindly find them from this link: http://www.ltsecurityinc.com/downloads) NVMS V3 tool is the latest version. NVMS 7000 can support the Mac system.

How do I connect my NVR to my Phone?

1.Open the LaView NET app. In the menu tap LaView P2P.

2.In LaView P2P click Register.

3.Enter email address and verification picture. Tap get verification code. Email with verification code will be sent to registered email. Create username and password after entering code.

4.Login using email/username and password. Enable “Auto-login”.

5.Tap the (+) icon to add a device to the account.

6.Scan the QR code on top of the system.

7.Tap the (+) symbol to add your system.

8.Enter the verification code located on the side or back of the system. Also found under Maintenance>System Info.

9.Tap on the newly added device.

10.Press “Start Live View” and be sure to enjoy your system.

*If using 4G/LTE with bad signal, you may not obtain a picture. Attempt using a strong signal.

I tried to change the name of my camera, but I’m getting “Camera Does not support this function”.

It is possible that there are no cameras connected to that specific channel or the camera has lost connectivity. If you are using a third-party camera it is possible the ONVIF protocol supported by camera is outdated which does not support OSD configuration.

Is it possible to connect a third-party camera to a LaView NVR, or a LaView Camera to a third-party NVR?

Yes, if the third-party devices support the ONVIF protocol and you are using the correct setup for the specific camera.

I’m having issues connecting my NVR to my phone

Possible Fixes:

1.Please go to Menu-Configuration-Network and under the General tab make sure enable DHCP is selected, if it is not enabled then select enable and apply. If you had to enable it, restart the NVR and try the P2P setup again.

2.If you are still having issues, make sure DDNS is NOT enabled(unchecked). If DDNS is checked, uncheck it and apply then go back to Platform Access and disable P2P and apply. Once both are disabled, do a power cycle and reboot the unit. After the unit restarts enable P2P again, and do another power cycle.

3.Go to Extranet Access, Platform Access or DDNS and make sure LaView P2P is selected then apply, also make sure “Enable Stream Encryption” is disabled.

4. If none of these work, then it could be a network issue. Try to restart your modem/router by unplugging it for about 45 seconds. Plug it back in and restart the NVR, then try to reconnect your system to the P2P account.

How Do I find my system’s IP address?

To find your system’s IP address go to Main Menu>Maintenance>System Info>Network. The IPv4 Address at the top is your local IP. If your IP address is 0.0.0.0 or 192.0.0.64, this means your system is offline. There are a few causes from this, but usually, it’s a bad ethernet cable or the cable is not plugged in properly to either the DVR or Router. If those are checked to be correct, try restarting your router by unplugging it for a minute and restarting the DVR.

How do I set up my Hikvision IP CCTV System?,Welcome to our updated comprehensive how-to guide for getting started with your Hikvision IP CCTV system. IP systems are taking over the surveillance world and whether you’re setting up your brand new Hikvision system, or you need help adding more cameras to an existing setup you have, the step-by-step guides in this Megaforum should be all you need to get up and running!

Part 1: How do I install a Hard Drive in a Hikvision NVR?

Any setup with an NVR will need a hard drive to function as it is what all your footage is saved to. The WD Purple Drive is our go-to recommendation for the vast majority of IP setups as it designed with the high workload requirements of 24/7 surveillance solutions in mind. Please see the guide on picking the right HDD to better understand your storage needs and why we don’t recommend using HDD’s that aren’t optimised for use in a CCTV system.

Please see the five simple steps below for getting your hard drive installed into your NVR:

Step 1:
.

Firstly, you’ll need to locate and remove the screws that secure the NVR’s casing to the base so that you can access the inside of it. Typically, you’ll find two of these screws on the back of the unit and, depending on the NVR model, more on the sides – Do not lose these screws!

Step 2:
.

Once inside, your NVR will look something like this. The parts in here you’ll need to identify are the:

1.Motherboard

2.HDD bays (these can range from one to twelve, depending on the NVR)

3.SATA interface connection ports (found on the motherboard, one per HDD bay)

4.SATA interface cables (normally a flat blue or red cable with narrower connections at either end. These come included with the NVR – one per HDD bay)

5.SATA power connection port (also on the motherboard)

6.SATA power cable (sometimes this is already connected to the SATA power port – A black, red and yellow cable with wider 15 pin and 4 pin connections at either end respectively)

7.Four screws (come included with the NVR) with corresponding holes (sometimes six holes to cater for different types of HDD)

Now look at your HDD – fewer things to identify here:

1.SATA interface port (the narrower port on the edge)

2.SATA power port (the wider port, beside the interface port)

3.Four clear screw holes (for securing the HDD to the NVR’s base)

Step 3:
.

Get your hard drive and NVR connected – You can screw the drive into its bay in NVR first if you wish, but it’s normally easier to wire everything up first. Plug one end of the SATA interface cable into the HDD and the other into the corresponding port on the motherboard, then do the same with the SATA power cable. If the power cable has come already connected to the motherboard, then just plug the other end into the HDD’s SATA power port.

Step 4:
.

You now just need to screw the HDD into the bottom of the NVR via the screw holes located in the HDD and corresponding holes in the HDD bay (insert the screws from underneath the NVR into the HDD inside – it can be a bit fiddly).

Step 5:
.

Finally, screw the NVR’s casing back onto the base. Your HDD is now installed and ready to be formatted during the initial NVR setup, which is explained in Part 2.

How do I set up my Hikvision IP CCTV System

Part 2: How do I complete the basic setup of my Hikvision NVR?

You now need to configure the NVR so that it’s ready to connect to your network. Don’t worry – this is simpler than it sounds. This initial setup is simplest when done on the local GUI, using a directly connected monitor. The following steps walk you through this initial setup process:

Note – Avoid plugging anything into the back of the NVR until instructed to do so in this tutorial.

Firstly, you’ll need to look at the back of your NVR and make sure you can identify the following parts that are needed for this stage:
.

[1] – PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports (Most Hikvision NVRs have PoE ports which will power any camera via the network cable. Those that do not will require you to connect the camera across remotely, using a separate PoE injector or switch for power.)

[2] – VGA display port

[3] – HDMI display port

[4] – USB port(s) (and mouse – one should come included with the NVR)

[5] – LAN port (and ethernet cable – Cat5e or Cat6 is fine)

[6] – Kettle power socket (the power lead is included with the NVR)

Now, follow these steps. It is easier if you leave your cameras disconnected until prompted later in this guide:

Step 1:
.

Plug the kettle plug into the power inlet to connect the NVR to a power supply.

Step 2:
.

Connect your NVR to a display (this can be any monitor or television) by connecting either an HDMI or VGA cable from the monitor to the corresponding port in the back of the NVR.

Step 3:
.

Plug your USB mouse into one of the NVR’s USB ports.

Step 4:
.

Use an ethernet cable to connect your NVR to your local network – Plug one end of the cable into the RJ45 ports into a network access point (such as an ethernet port on your router), and the other into the LAN port in the back of your NVR.

Step 5:
.

Turn the NVR on and let it boot up. Ignore the beeping noise, it’s completely normal and just the NVR telling you that it isn’t properly configured yet.

You may get a prompt to adjust the NVR’s resolution to match the connected display, click “yes” to view everything in the best resolution supported by your display.

Step 6:

Set your language when prompted.

Step 7:

Set a password for the NVR , as well as a “Channel Default Password”, which will be passed onto any inactive device that is directly connected to the NVR’s PoE ports. We recommend keeping these passwords the same for simplicity’s sake. It’s key that you set a password that the NVR defines as strong and that you remember this password, as resetting the passwords on Hikvision devices can be a hassle that you want to avoid, if possible.

Step 8:

Now set a valid “reserved email” address for the NVR, which Hikvision will use for verification if you need to reset your password.

Step 9:
.

Next, set an unlock pattern of your choice by using your mouse to draw any shape you like – you will be asked to do this twice to confirm the pattern. This will be used to quickly login to your NVR in the local GUI.

Step 10:
.

Now, set your time zone, your preferred date format, and date/time.

Step 11:

On the Network Setup page:

Leave the “NIC Type” as it is.

Either leave the “Enable Obtain DNS Server” box ticked, or untick it and use one these recommended public DNS servers.

It is best to leave the “Enable DHCP” box unticked here. Instead, set the “IPv4 Address” of the NVR to an unused IP address on your network, which is within your gateway’s range. Your Gateway will typically be the IP address of your router. E.g. if your router’s IP address is “192.168.1.1”, you’ll want to give the NVR an IP address within the range of “192.168.1.x”, where “x” is any unused address between “2” and “254”.

Note – DHCP can be left on during this stage of the setup to automatically assign your NVR an open IP address if you like, just be sure to turn it off again once your system up and running. To disable it again once set up, just go to:

System/Configuration→ Network → TCP/IP → DHCP Off → Apply

Input the Subnet Mask of your network (typically it’s “255.255.255.0”) and “IPv4 Default Gateway”. If you’re unsure of these, see the below articles which explain how to check what they are and if a particular IP address is available:

The “Internal NIC IPv4 Address” can be left as it is, this just refers to the NVR’s own LAN address (so Plug and Play cameras will use IP addresses on this range).

Step 12:

You can now stop the annoying bleeping! Select your hard drive(s) from the list and click “Init” to format it, and then “Next” when the formatting has completed.

Note – This will completely wipe the drive, so please make sure that any that are being reused to not have data that you might need on them.

Step 13:

The next page is for the Camera Setup. As mentioned earlier, we recommend connecting any cameras after the NVR setup process has completed, so you can skip this page.

Note – Please see part 4 for the instructions for adding cameras to your NVR after the initial setup.

Step 14:

You will now be taken to the platform access page. Again, skip through and leave this for now.

Note – Please see part 12 for adding the NVR to the Hik-Connect app, which revisits this page.

Step 15:

Finally, you’ll be taken to the Change Password page and given the option to set a new admin password. Ignore this, unless you actually want to change your password. Remember, your admin password is different from your activation password, which you’ll need to use when activating individual cameras on your network.

Click “Exit” and “Yes” on the “Exit Wizard” popup.

That’s the initial setup of your NVR complete. You should now be taken to the NVR’s live view page (you won’t see your cameras until these are connected in Part 4), with your main navigation menu at the top of the screen.

1.1Preparation

Refer to the camera’s quick guide to complete installation, and then connect the camera to power to start it up. You can log in to the camera’s web interface to perform management or maintenance operations.

The following takes Internet Explorer (IE) on a Windows 7.0 PC as an example.

1.Check before login

•The camera runs normally.

•The PC has a network connection to the camera.

•A web browser has been installed on the PC. Microsoft IE 10.0 or later is recommended.

•For optimal display, it is recommended to use a monitor that matches the highest resolution of the camera.

NOTE!

Recommended PC configurations for 32MP live view: Intel® Core™ i7 8700 processor; GTX 1080 graphics card; DDR4 8GB or higher.

1.2Login

The default static IP address of the camera is 192.168.1.13, and the default subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.

DHCP is enabled by default on the camera. If a DHCP server is deployed in the network, the camera may be assigned an IP address, and you need to use the assigned IP address to log in.

Follow the steps below to log in to the camera’s web interface (take IE10 as an example):

Open IE, enter the IP address of your camera in the address bar and press Enter.

At your first login, you need to follow the on-screen instructions to install a plug-in (close all browsers before installation), and then open the browser again to log in. To manually load the plug-in, type http://IP address/ActiveX/Setup.exe in the address bar and press Enter.

Set whether to start live view automatically after login.

•With Live View selected, live view will start automatically after login.

•With Live View not selected, you need to start live view manually.

Set the tracking area. In 5ePTZ tracking mode, the live view window is divided into 1 panoramic window and 5 small tracking windows. You may rest the cursor on a tracking box in the panoramic window or in a tracking window and use the scroll wheel to zoom in or out, and drag the tracking windows to relocate them.

Enable perimeter protection (see Smart), then the camera can automatically detect moving objects in the detection area, and simultaneously track and zoom in on 5 objects that have triggered the alarm rules until the objects disappear.

You can define a patrol route comprising several actions or presets or record a patrol route to allow the PTZ camera to automatically move along the route.

1.Add a patrol route

• Add a common patrol route

In a common patrol route, the PTZ camera performs linear motion between presets.

On the PTZ control panel, click Patrol.

3.Set the route ID and name. On certain models, you may need to set the Patrol Type to Common Patrol.

4.Click Add to add patrol actions.

5. Complete the action settings.

5.Add a scan patrol route

In a scan patrol route, the camera rotates from the start preset to the end preset in a specified gradient and direction.

Click to start recording. You can adjust the direction, rotation speed and zoom of the camera during recording. All movement data of the camera will be recorded.

Click to finish recording and the recording is saved as a patrol route automatically.

Tilt Gradient	The average division value of the vertical distance between the start and end presets. The greater the value, the shorter the patrol route.

2.Call a patrol route

Manual calls take precedence over scheduled calls.

Auto tracking and trigger tracking is executed only within the duration that the camera stays at a position during common patrol.

3 Playback

•Edge recordings refer to video recorded on storage media of cameras; local recordings refer to video recorded on a local PC.

•Before you search for edge recordings, make sure that the camera has storage resources such as memory card, and the storage parameters in Storage are properly configured.

•Recording playback and download functions are only available on certain models.

•For dual-channel devices, you can set playback parameters for the channels separately.

1.2Network

1.2.1Basic Config

Complete the basic network configuration so the camera can communicate with other devices on the network.

1.Ethernet

Go to Setup > Network > Basic Config.

Configure Ethernet parameters.

• IPv4

> Static address (configure IP manually)

(1)Select Static from the Obtain IP Address drop-down list.

(2)Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway address. Make sure that the IP address of the camera is unique in the network.

(3)Click Save.

Configure PPPoE to assign a dynamic IP address.

(2)Enter the username and password provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

2.DNS

The DNS service is a globally distributed service that translates human readable domain names into numeric IP addresses. To use the DNS service, you need to configure DNS server information.

Go to Setup > Network > Basic Config > DNS.

Set the preferred and alternate DNS server addresses. The default settings are as follows.

3.DDNS

DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Server) can map the dynamic IP address of the camera to a fixed domain name and so users can access the camera using the easy-to-remember domain name.

CAUTION!

conflict will appear. Ports 23, 81, 82, 85, 3260, and 49152 are reserved for other purposes and
cannot be used.

•In addition to the above port numbers, the system can also dynamically detect other port numbers that are already in use.

•HTTP/HTTPS Port: If you change the HTTP/HTTPS port number, then you need to add the new port number after the IP address when logging in. For example, if the HTTP port number is set to 88, you need to use http://192.168.1.13:88 to log in to the camera.

•RTSP Port: Real-Time Streaming Protocol port, enter an available port number.

Click Save.

5.Port Mapping

Configure port mapping so users can access your camera on the LAN from the Internet.

Go to Setup > Network > Port > Port Mapping.

Enable Port Mapping.

Select the mapping type.

>Auto: When enabled, the camera will negotiate external ports with the router automatically. Make sure UPnP is enabled on the router.

6. 802.1x

1.1x enhances network security for your intranet by performing port-based authentication before allowing the device to access the LAN. Only successfully authenticated devices are allowed to access the LAN.

Go to Setup > Network > Basic Config > 802.1x.

2.SNMP

The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) allows the camera to be remotely managed by a management server. The camera can be configured to support SNMP and send messages to the management server for important events or status change.

3.QoS

QoS (Quality of Service) can alleviate network delay and network congestion by prioritizing different services.

2.Assign a priority level (0 to 63) for each service. The greater the value, the higher the priority. For example, the camera first ensures smooth audio and video in the case of network congestion.

NOTE!

The same QoS rules must also be configured on the router or network switch.

If the network connection between the camera and the peer (stream receiving address) is disconnected, the camera can store videos according to the configured recording schedule; and after the network connection is restored, the camera can retransfer the video stored during the interruption period to the stream receiving address on the request of the peer.

5.2.3 Platform Access

1.Intelligent Platform

Configure intelligent platform to receive smart snapshots from the camera. A camera can be managed by two intelligent servers.

Local snapshot cannot be enabled when the number of subscriptions has reached the upper limit.

If local snapshot has been enabled, when the number of subscriptions reaches the upper limit, higher- priority subscriptions will take precedence, and local snapshot will be disabled.

NOTE!

•The number of subscriptions supported may vary with camera.

•Priority level of subscription from different platforms: Platform 1 > Platform 2 > LAPI subscription >

When the number of photos unloaded on Jan. 4, 2022 reaches 1000 (default value), new photos overwrite old photos in the 20220104 folder. NOTE! •To choose Overwrite Storage, make sure the last naming element of the files is the image sequence number. •Overwrite At (image): The default is 1,000, up to 100,000 is allowed.
Custom Naming Rule	Select the checkbox, and then you can customize the file naming rules as needed. For the naming rules, see File Path in step 6.

•Alibi Vigilant Mobile app is a free app that can be downloaded from app stores, including iOS and Android versions. You need to download and install the app on your mobile phone in order to access your camera from your mobile phone. The following takes Alibi Vigilant Mobile as an example to describe the operations.

•You can add the camera to P2P with or without a cloud account. A cloud account is required if you want full functionalities on the app. Some functions, such as cloud upgrade, will not be available if the camera is added to P2P without a cloud account.

Open the app, log in to your cloud account, and use the app to scan the QR code displayed on the P2P page to add the camera to P2P.

5.3 Video & Audio

For dual-channel devices, you can set video and audio parameters for the channels separately.

Resolution	Select a video resolution for your camera. The higher the resolution, the clearer the image.
Frame Rate(fps)	Select the frame rate. NOTE! To ensure image quality, the frame rate shall not be greater than the reciprocal of the shutter speed.
Bit Rate(Kbps)	Set the bit rate. Range: 128 to 16384. NOTE! The bit rate range may vary with device model.
Bitrate Type	Select the bitrate type. •CBR: The camera keeps a specific bit rate by varying the quality of video streams. •VBR: The camera keeps the quality of video streams as constant as possible by varying the bit rate.

Image Quality	Configurable when Bitrate Type is set to VBR. The closer the slider is to Quality, the higher the bit rate, and the higher the image quality. The closer the slider is to Bit Rate, the lower the bit rate, and the image quality will be affected.
I Frame Interval	Set the number of frames between I-frames. A shorter interval presents better image quality but consumes more bandwidth and storage.
GOP	Group of Pictures, defines the basic pattern of the video stream encoded with I and P frames.
Smoothing	Set the smoothness of the video stream. Drag the slider to choose whether smoothness or clarity takes precedence. NOTE! Smoothing is recommended for fluent video in a poor network environment.
SVC	SVC (Scalable Video Coding) enables a video stream to be broken into multiple layers of resolution, quality and frame rate, reducing bandwidth consumption without compromising the image quality.
Smart Encoding	Select the Smart Encoding mode. •Basic Mode: Reduces the bit rate by about 25%. •Advanced Mode: Reduces the bit rate by about 50%.

3.Adaptive Streams

The bit rate of the media stream is automatically adjusted according to the network conditions.

NOTE!

•This function is only available on certain models.

•This function is enabled by default on certain models.

•It’s recommended to enable Adaptive Streams in a poor network environment.

•To enable adaptive streams, you need to choose the TCP protocol at Setup > Commons > Local Parameters; otherwise, adaptive streams cannot be enabled.

Choose a cropping mode.

•Field of View Mode: The camera ensures the size of the specified area. Choose a stream type, set the cropping size and resolution.

•Resolution Mode: The camera ensures the resolution of the specified area first. Choose a stream type, set the resolution.

You can configure a media stream for your camera so that media contents from the camera such as audio and video can be transmitted over the network and played immediately on a third-party client rather than being downloaded first.

4. PTZ Rectification

Check for PTZ zero point offset and perform rectification.

•Rectify automatically: Select the Enable Auto Rectification checkbox and set the execute time. The camera automatically performs PTZ rectification at the set time.

5. Power Off Memory

When enabled, the system will record the last position of the PTZ and lens in case of power failure. This function is enabled by default.

The PTZ camera can automatically operate as configured (e.g., go to a preset or start patrol) if no operation is made within a specified period.

The camera takes a snapshot at each preset during patrol and uploads the snapshots to FTP.

Shutter(s)	Shutter is used to control the light that comes into the lens. A fast shutter speed is ideal for scenes in quick motion. A slow shutter speed is ideal for scenes that change slowly. NOTE! •This parameter is configurable when Exposure Mode is set to Manual, Shutter Priority, or Custom. •If Slow Shutter is disabled, the reciprocal of the shutter speed must be greater than the frame rate.
Gain	Control image signals so that the camera can output standard video signals in different light conditions. NOTE! This parameter is configurable when Exposure Mode is set to Manual or Custom.

Slow Shutter	Increase image brightness in low light conditions. NOTE! This parameter is configurable when Exposure Mode is not set to Iris Priority and Image Stabilization is disabled.
Slowest Shutter	Set the slowest shutter speed for exposure.
Compensation	Adjust the compensation value as required to achieve the desired image effect. NOTE! This parameter is configurable when Exposure Mode is not set to Manual.
Restore Auto Exposure(min)	Set the duration for the camera to restore automatic exposure mode.
Metering Control	Set how the camera measures the intensity of light. •Center-Weighted Average Metering: Measure light mainly in the central part of the image. •Evaluative Metering: Measure light in the specified area of the image. •Spot Metering: Similar to evaluative metering. But it cannot increase the brightness of images. •Face Metering: Adjust image quality in poor lighting conditions by controlling the brightness of captured faces in face scenes. NOTE! This parameter is configurable when Exposure Mode is not set to Manual.
Day/Night Mode	•Automatic: The camera automatically switches between day mode and night mode according to the ambient lighting condition to output optimum images. •Day: The camera outputs high-quality images in daylight conditions. •Night: The camera outputs high-quality images in low-light conditions. •Input Boolean: The camera switches between day mode and night mode according to the Boolean value input from a connected third-party device. NOTE! The Input Boolean option is only available on certain models.
Day/Night Sensitivity	Light threshold for switching between day mode and night mode. A higher sensitivity value means that the camera is more sensitive to the change of light and is therefore more easily to switch between day mode and night mode. NOTE! This parameter is configurable when Day/Night Mode is set to Automatic.
Day/Night Switching(s)	Set the length of time before the camera switches between day mode and night mode after the switching conditions are met. NOTE! This parameter is configurable when Day/Night Mode is set to Automatic.
WDR	Enable WDR to ensure clear images in high contrast conditions. NOTE! This parameter is configurable when Exposure Mode is set to Automatic, Custom, Shutter Priority, Indoor 50Hz or Indoor 60Hz and when Image Stabilization and Defog are disabled.
WDR Level	Adjust the WDR level. NOTE! Level 7 or higher is recommended if there is a high contrast between the bright and dark areas in the scene. In the case of low contrast, it is recommended to disable WDR or use level 1 to 6.
WDR On/Off Sensitivity	When WDR is set to Automatic, adjust the parameter to change the WDR switching sensitivity.
Suppress WDR Stripes	When enabled, the camera automatically adjusts the slow shutter frequency according to the light frequency to minimize stripes in the image.

This option is recommended if you focus on the monitoring range and image brightness. •Overexposure Restrain: The camera automatically adjusts illumination and exposure to avoid regional overexposure. Some areas might be dark if you select this option. This option is recommended if you focus on the clarity of the monitoring center area. •Road: This mode offers a strong overall illumination and is recommended for monitoring wide- range scenes, for example, road. •Park: This mode offers a uniform illumination and is recommended for monitoring small-range scenes with many obstacles, for example, park. •Custom Level: This mode allows you to manually control the intensity of illumination. •Custom Level(Always On): In this mode, the illumination is always on.
Illumination Level	Set the intensity of the illuminator. The greater the value, the higher the intensity. 0 is off. •Near-illumination Level: Recommended for near focus scenes. •Mid-illumination Level: Recommended for medium distance focus scenes. •Far-illumination Level: Recommended for far focus scenes. NOTE! This parameter is configurable when Control Mode is set to Custom Level.

In Automatic mode, the camera automatically adjusts the defog intensity according to the fog concentration for clear images.

Adjust the defog intensity.

In a heavy-fog environment, the higher the defog level, the clearer the image; in a fog-free or light-fog environment, there is not much difference between levels 1 to 9.

NOTE!

Optical defog is available on certain models.

To enable optical defog, select On and set the defog intensity to 6 or higher, or select Automatic. Optical defog is automatically turned on in thick fog, and the image changes from color to black and white.

•This function is available only on certain device models.

•For 2-channel cameras capable of heatwave reduction, channel 2 supports heatwave reduction.

15.Thermal Imaging Palette

The camera offers a variety of color display options for thermal imaging. The rainbow palette has a strong contrast and a clear distinction between colors of different temperatures, ideal for pinpointing objects in environments with subtle temperature differences.

During lens rotation, the camera may lose focus, causing unclear images. In this case, you can initialize the lens to refocus.

Go to Setup > Image > Engineering.

Reset lens.

•To reset manually, click Reset.

•To reset automatically, select the Enable Auto Initialization checkbox and set an execution time.

Click Save.

5.5.2 OSD

On Screen Display (OSD) are characters displayed with video images, for example, camera name, date and time.

•This function may vary with device model.

•For dual-channel cameras, you can set OSD parameters for the channels separately.

5.5.3 Privacy Mask

Privacy mask is used to cover certain areas on the image for privacy, for example, ATM keyboard.

•For dual-channel devices, you can set privacy mask parameters for the channels separately.

Go to Setup > Image > Privacy Mask.

Select the mask mode, Rectangle or Polygon.

•2D-mask camera: For a PTZ camera, the privacy mask does not move and zoom with the camera.

•3D-mask camera: For a PTZ camera, the privacy mask moves and zooms with the camera and the

masked area is always covered.

Fast focus effectively saves focus time and avoids missing important information after the camera changes the scene, focus and zoom.

Mask style	Select the mask style, Black or Mosaic. NOTE! •This parameter is configurable when Mask Mode is set to Rectangle. By default, the mask style of polygon mask is black and cannot be modified. •Mosaic is only available on certain models.

Human Body Snapshot	Select to enable or disable human body snapshot.
Min. Pupillary Distance (px)	The minimum distance (unit: pixel) between two pupils. Faces with a pupillary distance smaller than the value will not be captured. To set the minimum pupillary distance, click Draw, when the cursor shape changes, drag to change the distance; or type a value in the text box directly.
Static Object Detection	Choose whether to detect static objects.
Counting	After you enable Counting and choose a counting direction, peole counting statistics (entering or leaving) are displayed on live video. Before use, make sure you have configured a people counting OSD overlay on the OSD page. See OSD for details.
Reset Counter at	•Select the Reset Counter at checkbox and set a time for the camera to clear people counting statistics. •To clear people counting statistics immediately, click Clear Counting Result. This operation only clears the people statistics displayed on the OSD, and does not affect the reported data.

Selection Mode	Select the face selection mode. •Effect Priority: The camera selects 1 to 3 snapshots with the best quality to report. from the Filter Type drop-down list and set the Max. Size or Min. Size for it, then motor
vehicles larger than the Max. Size or smaller than the Min. Size will not be detected.

People flow counting counts people passing a tripwire, including the number of people that have entered, left, and the total.

Go to Setup > Intelligent > Smart.

Select the People Flow Counting checkbox, and click to configure it.

A tripwire is displayed in the left preview window. Adjust the position and size of the tripwire as needed or draw a new one. Only one tripwire is allowed.

• Adjust the position and size of the tripwire, or draw a new tripwire:

>Click the tripwire, point to an endpoint, and drag to change the length and direction.

>Point to the tripwire and drag it to the desired position.

Draw a detection area on the image. The default detection area is the full screen. You can draw a polygon. Make sure the tripwire is inside the polygon; otherwise, counting will fail.

5.6.17 Crowd Density Monitoring

Crowd density monitoring monitors the number of people in a specified area and triggers an alarm if the number exceeds the set alarm threshold.

Panoramic linkage includes drag-to-zoom, click-to-link, tracking, and face snapshot functions. You need to calibrate on the panoramic and closeup images first (see Calibration) and then configure linkage (see Configure Linkage).

b On the closeup image, find the point that you have marked on the panoramic image, click

till the zoom ratio reaches the maximum, adjust the position of the calibration point (small white block) on the panoramic image till it overlaps with the crosshair on the closeup image, and click Calibrate.

c Repeat the above two steps to calibrate other points. Depending on the scene, you may need to calibrate 5-12 times. Click Finish when you complete. Certain devices may require multiple such calibration procedures.

• Min. Object(pixel): The default is 2*2. Objects whose size is less than the set value will be filtered.

NOTE!

The camera may falsely detect car windows or static reflective objects as fire points due to their high temperatures caused by sunlight. For example, Moving Object is set to 150%, the object is a car that is 1m long. Fire detection detects fire once per second, totally 3 times. If the vehicle’s movement distance is greater than or equal to 1.5 meters in any of the three detections, then the ratio of the car movement distance to the car length is greater than or equal to 150%, then the object will not be considered a fire point and will be filtered. See the diagram below.

Set Shield Area.

Set shield areas to prevent false alarms caused by high-temperature objects in other areas on the image.

Up to 8 shield areas are allowed on the current image, and totally 24 are allowed on different images.

When an object triggers perimeter protection rules, the PTZ camera will be triggered to track the object and give a closeup of the tracked object till the set tracking duration expires or the object disappears. If the PTZ camera supports mixed traffic detection, you may configure track & snapshot. See Alarm-triggered Actions and Storage.

•Auto Track: The camera chooses an object that triggered detection rules.

•Manual Track: User chooses motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles, and pedestrians. After the

camera detects an object, you can click Track on the Calibration page and choose a bounding box to zoom in on and track the selected object.

PTZ Camera	•PTZ Camera IP Address: IP address of the PTZ camera. •HTTP port: The default is 80. •Zoom Coefficient: Enter a coefficient. The greater the coefficient, the greater the zoom ratio of the PTZ camera. NOTE! For certain models it’s unnecessary to configure PTZ Camera IP Address and HTTP Port.
Tracking	•Select the Continuously Track checkbox. •Set tracking duration. The tracking stops when the set duration expires or when the object disappears.

Detection Mode	Choose a detection mode: Fire Detection or Smoking Detection.
Fire Detection Overlay	When enabled, object bounding boxes will be added to video streams. This feature is applicable to viewing recorded videos showing object bounding boxes on a third-party platform.
Auxiliary Visual Confirmation	When enabled, smoke and fire detection will assist in fire detection to make detection results more accurate. After fire detection detects a fire point, smoke and fire detection will detect smoke around the fire point. A fire alarm will be reported if smoke is detected. NOTE! •When this feature is enabled, all other smart functions except smoke and fire detection will be unavailable. •This feature is effective only in daytime.
Sensitivity	Drag the slider to adjust detection sensitivity. The higher the sensitivity, the more likely fire and heat will be detected, and the more likely false alarms will occur. The specific value should be determined according to the actual scene or test.
Fire Alarm Suppression	When enabled, fire detection will not report the same fire point repeatedly within a certain length of time.
Fire Alarm Suppression Time (min)	Enter an integer in the range of 1-600. NOTE! Fire detection will not report the detected fire point again within the set time.
Object Filtering	Object filtering is intended to reduce false fire alarms by allowing user to specify the movement speed and the maximum and minimum sizes of detected fire points. This feature is disabled by default. To use this feature, select the checkboxes and input appropriate values. Object Filtering 0 Moving Object(%) \|15 \| □ Max. Objectfpixel) 125 X 2 O Min. (1)Rotate the camera to the shield area. You may use presets to quickly rotate the camera to the

intended direction.

(2) Click Add. A shield area appears in the upper left corner of the image.

(3) Drag it to the intended position or draw a new one. Repeat the step if necessary.

NOTE!

When editing detection rules, you can click to lock the scene to prevent pan/tilt movement cause

by triggered detection rules, and click to unlock the scene after you finish editing detection rules.

The camera detects motions in specified detection areas or grids on the image and reports an alarm when detection rules are triggered.

Object size

Object size: The ratio of the size of the detected object to the size of the detection area. An alarm is triggered when the ratio reaches the set value. To detect motion of small objects, you need to draw a small detection area separately.

Motion detection results of the current detection area are shown below in real time. The red means motions that have triggered a motion detection alarm. The height of the lines indicates the extent of motion. The density of the lines indicates the frequency of motion. The higher a line, the greater the extent. The denser the lines, the higher the frequency.

>4) Set Suppress Alarm to avoid receiving the same alarms within a certain length of time (alarm suppression time). For example, alarm suppression time is set to 5s, after an alarm is reported:

>If no motion is detected within the next 5s, new alarms can be reported after 5s when the alarm suppression time (5s) is over.

>If motion is detected within the next 5s, the alarm suppression time recounts from the time of the last alarm, and new alarms can be reported when the alarm suppressions time (5s) is over.

The camera triggers a tampering alarm after the lens is blocked for a certain length of time.

Go to Setup > Events > Common Alarm > Tampering Detection.

3.Audio Detection

The camera monitors input audio signals and triggers an audio detection alarm when an exception is detected. Make sure an audio collection device (e.g. sound pickup) is connected, and audio detection is enabled (see Audio).

Go to Setup > Events > Common Alarm > Audio Detection.

• Audio detection results are displayed and updated in real time. You can control the display progress by clicking the Start/Stop button.

• The scales are used to measure sound volume. Gray indicates relative sound intensity. Red means sound volume that has triggered alarms.

4.Alarm Input

The camera can receive alarms from external third-party devices such as infrared detectors, smoke detectors, etc. After alarm input is configured, the third-party device can send signals to the camera after an event occurs.

Go to Setup > Events > Common Alarm > Alarm Input.

5.Alarm Output

The camera can output alarms to external third-party devices such as alarm bell, buzzer, etc. After alarm output is configured, the camera can output alarm signals when an alarm (such as motion detection alarm, tamping alarm) occurred and trigger the third-party device to perform certain actions.

Go to Setup > Events > Common Alarm > Alarm Output.

CAUTION!

•Strictly follow the instructions below when powering on external alarm devices (e.g., alarm light) to
avoid device damage.

•Check that Alarm Type is set to Normally Open (default) on the camera. Make sure the camera and the external alarm device are disconnected from power.

•After you connect the alarm device to the camera, connect the alarm device to power first, and then connect the camera to power.

5.7.3 One-key Disarming

The camera cannot trigger linked actions when disarmed.

Access policies are used to prevent unauthorized access and operation from the network.

Example: User A tries to log in from the client IP address 192.168.1.33 and is locked. Then user A cannot log in within the lock time, but user B is not affected and can still log in from the same IP address.

•Session timeout

A session is the connection established between the client (Web browser) and the server (camera).
When session timeout is enabled, if the client cannot obtain or save configurations within the set time,
the user will automatically log out and go to the login page.

Only admin can enable or disable this feature.

•Friendly password

Users are not affected when friendly password is enabled. When friendly password is disabled, users who are already logged in with a weak password will be forced to set a strong password before the user can proceed with other actions in the web interface.

A CA certificate is a certificate issued by a trusted certificate authority (CA) and thus is more secure and reliable.

1.1.4Ports & External Devices

The RS485 port is used for data transmission between the camera and external third-party devices for PTZ control, OSD, audio collection, illumination control, etc. The serial port parameters configured on the camera must match that of the connected external device.

NOTE!

Serial ports may not be available on all camera models.

Go to Setup > System > Ports & Devices > Serial Port.

Set Port Mode and configure the parameters.

• PTZ control

To control the PTZ using a third-party device, set Port Mode to PTZ Control.

By sending PELCO-D instructions through the RS485, you can control PTZ without using the PTZ control panel.

(1) Set Port Mode to Local PTZ Control.

(2) Configure the parameters.

• Trans-channel

Used to transmit data between the RS485 port and the third-party device.

NOTE!

This feature is available only on certain camera models.

(3) Set Port Mode to Trans-Channel.

(5)Enter the destination address and port, that is, the IP address and port number of the third-party device to which the transparent channel is connected.

Some camera models support preset IDs from 1 to 1024 when the PTZ protocol is PELCO-D, and preset IDs from 1 to 255 when the PTZ protocol is other protocols.

This parameter is configurable only when Port Mode is set to PTZ Control and PTZ Protocol is set to Local PTZ Control.

• OSD

Receive serial port information from the third-party device through the RS485 port and then overlay the parsed information on the OSD.

NOTE!

In order for the camera to correctly parse the received serial port information, make sure the serial port information sent from the third-party device conforms to our data formats. Contact our technical support for more information.

5.10.5 Maintenance

The Effective For parameter sets the duration of the Repeat mode (1 to 24 hours), and the Time Interval parameter sets the interval between two wiper movements (1 to 60 minutes). NOTE! If Time Interval is set to 60 minutes and Effective For is set to 1 hour, then the wiper works once at the last minute and then stops. Only integers are allowed.
		Automatic: Use a rain sensor to detect rains and automatically activate the wiper when the threshold is reached.

•. Maintenance

System maintenance include software upgrade, system configuration, diagnosis information, power output, and heater settings.

Go to Setup > System > Maintenance.

•Software upgrade

NOTE!

•Make sure the version to be used matches the device; otherwise, exceptions may occur.

•The version file is a .zip file that includes all the upgrade files.

•Power must be connected throughout the upgrade.

> Local upgrade

(1)Click Browse, locate the version. (If applicable) select Upgrade Boot Program to upgrade the boot program.

(2)Click Upgrade to start. The device will restart automatically after the upgrade is completed.

>Peripheral upgrade

Check for upgradable peripherals such as pan/tilt unit, illuminator, etc., and available versions.

>Cloud upgrade

Click Detect to check for new versions. You can perform a cloud upgrade if a new version is available on the cloud server.

•System configuration

You can export the current configurations of the camera to the client computer or an external storage device for backup, so when necessary, you can restore camera configurations by importing the backup file.

CAUTION!

•Restoring defaults will restore all settings to factory defaults except the administrator password, network interface settings, and system time.

•Before you import a configuration file, make sure the file matches the camera model; otherwise, unexpected results may occur.

•The camera will restart after importing the configuration file.

> Import configurations

(1)Click Browse beside the Import button.

(2)Locate the configuration file, click Import. A dialog box appears.

(3)Enter the password and confirm.

(4)Click OK.

> Export configurations

(1)Click Browse beside the Export button.

(2)Choose the destination folder, click Export. The File Encryption dialog box appears.

(3)Enter the password and confirm.

(4)Click OK.

> Restore defaults

Click Default. The system will restore default settings except network settings and user settings.

To restore all settings, select Restore all settings to defaults without keeping current network and user settings.

• Diagnosis information

Diagnosis information includes logs and system configurations and can be exported to your client computer. Select Collect Image Debugging Info to collect diagnosis information with accompanying video images to facilitate troubleshooting.

(1)Click Browse and choose the destination.

(2)Click Export.

NOTE!

Diagnosis information is exported as a compressed file. You need to decompress it first (using decompression tools like WinRAR) and then open the file using a text editor (like Notepad).

• Power output

The camera can supply power to external devices with lower power consumption such as a sound pickup.

• Restart device

CAUTION!

Restarting the camera will interrupt the ongoing service.

• Heater

Use the heater to eliminate water droplets on the lens in a high humidity environment.

1.1.6Logs

Search camera operation logs and download to your computer.

Go to Setup > System > Log.

Set a time range and choose main and sub log types.

•Main type: Including system operation, alarm parameter configuration, network configuration, audio and video configuration, PTZ configuration, image configuration, smart configuration, system configuration, storage configuration, and alarm events.

•Sub type: You can choose up to 5 types or choose All.

Click Search. Up to 100 logs can be displayed. The latest logs are displayed on the top.

Click Export to save search results as a .csv file to the client computer.

1.1.7System

For certain dual-channel cameras, you can switch between 1-channel and 2-channel output mode on the Live View page.

Go to Setup > System > System.

Note: The iris settings do not take effect when the zoom is less than lx.

Choose a video output mode.

•2-Channel: Default mode. In this mode, two channels of live video are displayed, with channel 1 (upper) showing the fixed focal image, and channel 2 (lower) showing the varifocal image.

•1-Channel: In this mode, two channels of live video are merged into one panoramic image by splicing images with adjusted zoom ratios.

CAUTION!

If you need to adjust iris in 1-channel mode, make sure the zoom ratio is greater than or equal to 1X;
otherwise, the iris adjustment does not take effect.

Click Save. A message appears, prompting you to switch the output mode and restart the camera.

Click OK. The new settings take effect after the camera restarts automatically.
