This article is to show how to disable audio function in Dahua IP camera that connected to Dahua NVR.

1. Login to Dahua recorder from local system interface.

2. Under Settings, click on Camera.

3. Go to Encode.

4. Select the camera channel.

5. Click on More.

6. Click on the toggle to turn off Audio. Click OK.

7. Click Save.

This article is to show how to disable audio function in Dahua IP camera that connected to Dahua NVR.

1. Login to Dahua NVR Web GUI using Internet Explorer.

2. Click on Settings > Camera.

3. Click on Camera list (Some recorder will label it as Registration)

4. Find the camera channel you want audio to be disable, click on E Internet Explorer icon.

5. It will take you to the login page of Dahua IP Camera. Login with Camera credential.

6. Go to Settings > Camera > Audio. By default the Audio settings is enabled.

7. Click on the checkmark to uncheck on both main and substream.

8. Click Save.

No Audio from Live Feed

There are following possibilities:

1. Make sure your audio on the computer or television is enabled and working by playing music or watching a video with audio online. You should see this audio meter change when playing music or video on the computer/television.

2. Once you have confirmed your audio is working on your speaker, and if you still can’t hear from your Live Feed, check your connections. If you are using an external microphone that plugs into the camera, please make sure you are supplying power to since the camera does not. See picture below:

3. If your connections and power are in order but you still cannot get audio from your live feed, log into your IP Camera or NVR and change the following settings.

4. If you are accessing your audio feed from a computer also make sure you have the speaker symbol enabled to enable audio from the Live Feed.

There is Audio from Live Feed, No Audio During Playback

There are following possibilities:

1. Make Sure your camera with a microphone is working via live stream, please follow the NoAudio guide for details.

2. After ensuring you are receiving an audio feed, log onto your NVR and make sure your encoding setup is correct (Setup>Image>Encode>) and make sure your are on the right channel where the camera has a working microphone. Now make sure audio is enabled for either or both the Main Stream and Sub Stream (whichever you are recording on)

3. Also make sure your camera is scheduled to record during specified operation.

5. Now playback a recording of a camera that had picked up audio, you can also simulate this by making noise by the microphone and playing that segment back. Also make sure that the Volume button is not on mute and is turned all the way up during playback.

There is no HDMI output.

1. If Video quality setup is too low then reconfigure video quality setup.

2. If Program read error, bit data is too small. There is mosaic in the full screen. Please restart the DVR to solve this problem.

3. If HDD data ribbon error then replace ribbon.

4. If HDD malfunction then replace HDD.

5. If DVR hardware malfunctions then replace hardware.

Remote control does not work.

There are following possibilities:

1. If Remote control address is not correct then find the correct address.

2. If Distance is too far or control angle is too small then shorten the distance or fix control angle.

3. If Remote control battery power is low then replace battery power.

4. If Remote control is damaged or DVR front panel is damaged then replace remote control or DVR front panel.

System does not boot

There are following possibilities:

1. If Input voltage is not stable or it is too low, then change the power supply and cable.

2. If HDD malfunction or something wrong with the ribbon, then replace the HDD or the ribbon.

3. Button power is not enough, then add more button power.

4. If Front video signal is not stable then check and adjust front video signal.

5. If Working environment is too harsh, too much dust then clean it.

6. If Hardware malfunction then replace hardware.

How to set the date and time

Time display is not correct.

1. Make sure the “Time Zone” is set correctly.

GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time.

2. Setup DST, if applicable.

3. “Sync PC” if all else fails.

4. Click, “OK” to save your changes.

Burn error /USB back error.

Explanation:

1. If Burner and NVR are in the same data cable, then separate them.

2. If System uses too much CPU resources. Then please stop record first and then begin backup.

3. If Data amount exceeds backup device capacity which may result in burner error. Then please delete data.

4. If Backup device is not compatible, please change backup device.

5. If Backup device is damaged, please change backup device.

Purpose: For some newly released analog cameras, they have their own OSD menu. In this menu, the users could change the working mode, adjust the image parameters, and reset the camera, and so on.

NOTE: If you want to reset the camera to the factory default, please connect the camera with the DVR via the BNC cable.

Here are the steps for you:

1. Please access the system and go to the Menu–>Camera–>PTZ, and select the camera and click the PTZ button.
   
2. On the PTZ Menu, please click the ‘+’ icon to enter the main menu:
   
3. After that, you could see the Main Menu. On the Main Menu, you could see the option FACTORY DEFAULT. Please click the down arrow icon to reach the option. After that, please click the right arrow icon to restore the settings of the camera.

Analog Speed Dome, DVR, Coaxial Cable, RS-485 Cable

How to Control Analog Speed Dome by Pelco-D/P Protocol

1. Connect DVR and Analog PTZ Camera

• • 1.1 Power on analog PTZ camera

The pigtails of analog speed dome (take speed dome for short in next contents) is

shown in Figure 1-1, it includes three kinds of cables: coaxial cable, power cable and 485 cable (for PTZ control).

Connect power cable of speed dome and relative power adapter, as shown in Figure 1-2.

Note: Red cable is positive cable and black is negative one in the pigtail of speed dome power cable, yellow one represents ground(no need to connect), power cable of speed dome is self-adaptive, so you don’t need to concern the connect order.

• 1.2 Connect PTZ camera and coaxial cable

Power on DVR, connect speed dome and DVR analog channel by coaxial cable.

Then you can see live view of speed dome on DVR as shown in Figure 1-3.

• 1.3 Connect 485 cable and speed dome

485 cables are two signal cables in a UTP cable. One should connect 485 pigtail of speed dome and DVR 485 port, take Figure 1-4 as example.

485 cable has polarity order, this is different from power cable connection.

• 2. Parameters Configuration

  • 2.1 Speed dome parameter configuration

The main parameter configuration of speed dome is the Baud rate and Address configuration, you can set these on OSD menu of speed dome.

• 2.1.1 Call OSD menu of speed dome

You can call OSD menu of speed dome by Menu bar or 95th preset.

Step-1: Click PTZ Control in DVR live view page, then enter PTZ control page, like Figure 2-1.

Step 2: Click OSD menu on PTZ control page.

If you control speed dome using UTC PTZ protocol you can call OSD menu by click Menu bar like illustration in Figure 2-2.

If the PTZ protocol is not UTC, you should call 95^th preset to call the OSD menu,

like the operation in Figure 2-3.

The OSD menu of speed dome is shown in Figure 2-4.

• 2.1.2 Set the Baud Rate and Address of speed dome.

Enter the SYS SETTING in speed dome by steps illustrated from Figure 2-5 to Figure 2-7.

Set Address and Baud rate of speed dome in Figure 2-7, also you should enable SOFT ADDR ACT and SOFT BAUD ACT. The soft address is valid address for connecting the speed dome when SOFT ADDR ACT is ON, the selectable soft address rage is from 0/1(Pelco-D/P) to 255. The soft baud rate is the valid baud rate for the speed dome when SOFT BAUD ACT. Is enabled, with 2400, 4800, 9600 and 19200 selectable.

• 2.2 DVR configuration

You can configure DVR parameters by both web and local side.

2.2.1 Configure on local side

As illustration in Figure 2-8, enter PTZ Parameter Settings on PTZ control page.

In PTZ control menu, set parameters of Baud rate, Data Bit, PTZ Protocol and

Address as shown in Figure 2-9 .

• 2.2.2 Configure on web side

If you want to configure DVR parameters on web page, you should complete the settings in Configuration>System>System Settings>RS-485,(shown in Figure 2-10), all the configurations should be the same as the relative parameters in speed dome.

• 3. Configuration test

Through configurations above, you can test if the configuration success. Take Figure 3-1 as example, you can see the live view page changed, which means the configuration works.
