If there are only few IP cameras, say 2~3 IP cameras for example, and you don’t need to keep the recordings for the month, usually using SD card which is installed in the camera is enough. Let’s set one channel 1080P IP camera for example. If using continuous recording, one H.265 1080P camera with 2Mbps bit rate usually will take 21.6GB storage. Thus, if using 256M SD card and doing continuous recording, it can record the video for nearly 12 days. However if using motion detection recording, the recording days will expand longer than 12days.

If there are more than four cameras, even up to 128 cameras, users can use NVR or CVR to install the recordings. Set 4pcs of H.265 1080P IP camera, each with 2Mbps bit rate for example. Solution 1: If the front-end cameras already have face captured function and support GA/T1400 protocol, you can use video surveillance management software SVMSPro to manage those cameras directly, because the SVMSPro platform has already supported GA/T1400. All the face images can be transferred from cameras to the SVMSPro platform via GA/T1400 protocol to store and display.

A. Map the GA/T1400 face image transferring port.

The default port for face image transferred by GA/T1400 is 8203. You can find and modify this port in the sentence:

2. How to set view library (GA/T1400 protocol) parameters for Dahua IP cameras?

Procedure

Step 1: Log into Dahua IP cameras. Go to Setup>Network Setup > Platform Access > View Library.

Step 2: Enable the view library. The server IP address is SVMSPro WAN IP address, input server ports: 8023.

C. Display face image on video surveillance management software: SVMSPro platform.

Procedure

Step 1: Run SVMSPro server and get SVMSPro WAN IP address.

Step 2: Set the IP camera’s view library, refers to B. Set view library (GA/T1400 protocol) parameters for front-end video devices.

Step 3: Run SVMSPro client program, and log into SVMSPro client. Go to Device Management > Face Recognition Device.Click Search, the Hikvision and Dahua IP camera will be displayed on SVMSPro. Select Device, then click Add to add this device. Input Device Name, then click Confirm to complete adding.

Step 4: Select one face snapshot camera on the left, then click Linked Channel to link the video camera for that face snapshot device.

Step 5: Click Face Recognition Display on SVMSPro, then select one linked video channel. Its video and captured face image will be displayed, see the image below.

Solution 2: If the front-end cameras don’t have face captured function and don’t support GA/T1400 protocol, you can install an AI box with face recognition function between camera and platform, using AI box to capture the face image and doing face comparison. Then transfer the face captured image and face comparison results from AI box to SVMSPro platform to save and display.

How to get the face image from AI box and display face recognition image and results on SVMSPro?

First of all, the video surveillance management software SVMSPro must have integrated AI box. The SVMSPro can integrate AI box by its SDK or any communication protocol, such as HTTP protocol.

Second set the face recognition parameters on AI box. Set RJ series AI box for example.

Procedure

Step 1: Log into RJ box web, with account name admin, and passwords admin. Go to Video Source > Add to add one video camera for AI box. The box supports ONVIF, RTSP, RTMP,HLS,EZV,DSS,ISC,GB/T28181 protocol, you can input camera’s corresponding video URL, such as RTSP URL, ONVIF URL etc.

Note: The image resolution for the added video should be 1080P.

Step 3: Add the AI algorithm task for that added camera video, by going to Task Management>Add

Alarm Listener URL: Input SVMSPro platform IP address. The rule is: http://SVMSPro IP address:18886/aievent . For example: http://192.168.0.123:18886/aievent

Algorithm Settings: Enable Face Recognition.

Threshold for similarity: compare the similarity with the face image in face database. The default value is 0.4. The higher value means more similar with the face picture in the face database.

Enable GA/T1400: Enable the face snapshot image to transfer via GA/T1400.

Enable Multi-Frame Judgement: When enable this selection, it will increase the demands for the environment, and it is hardly to detect the face image, when people are walking.

Threshold for strange: Input the threshold value for strange. If the similarity of the stranger is less than this value, it will be reported as stranger.

Alarm interval: Set alarm interval time to report the alarm information to the upper level platform.

Please select the face repository: Please select the face repository for the face comparison.

Minimum face pixel: Set the value for minimum face pixel. When the face pixel is lower than this defined value, it cannot detect the face image.

After configuration, please click Save to exit.

Step 4: Go to Option > Configuration Area to set the detection area for this video camera. After Setting, please trigger the alarm.

Step 5: Log into SVMSPro Client. Go to Device Management > AI server, the AI box will be auto registered and listed on the SVMSPro. Click AI Device on the left, then click Add To Management to add this AI box. Please don’t forget to input user name and password when adding.

Step 6: Select the AI box, then click Add Channel for this AI box. The Name and Channel No. should be the same with Task ID number which you set in the RJ series AI box.

Step 7: Selected the added channel, then click Linked Channel to associate the video camera for that added channel of AI box on SVMSPro.

Step 8: After configuration, please go to Control Panel > AI Alarm. Click one window, then drag the associated video channel to that window or double click the associated video channel under the AI box to open the video. When trigger the alarm, the face image will be transferred and displayed on the SVMSPro, see the image below. You can click Historical Record to check the face recognition alarm historical record information.

Step 2: Click Search. Then the devices on the same network will be searched and displayed in the form.

Step 3: Select one area. Then select the cameras you want to be added under this area, click Add to add the cameras.

3) Adding Device By Importing Device File

Procedure

Step 1: Find “Import_Devices.xlsx” file under your SVMS Pro Client installation route. If you install SVMS Pro client program in C disk, you can find this file under the route: C:\SVMSPro_Client.

Step 2: Input the device information: device type, plugin ID, device name, IP address, port, username and password in this file.

Step 3: Login to the SVMS Pro Client. On the Control Panel page, click Device Management to enter device management interface.

Step 4: Click Import Device to import this file. Then right click Monitor Area under device list, click Refresh Tree on the right click menu to refresh the device tree.

How to add the devices in SVMSPro via Hikvision and Dahua private protocol in WAN, LAN, VPN and 4G/5G network?

1) Adding Hikvision Video Devices By Ehome/ISUP Protocol

When access to Hikvison video devices (such as IP cameras, NVRs) by using Hikvision’s Ehome/ISUP protocol, front-end Hikvision video devices do not need to provide fixed IP address or map the ports.

Step 1:Open Hikvision network camera web browser by inputting camera’s IP address on the WEB browser. Login by its account and password. Go to Configuration > Network > Advance Settings > Platform Access.

Step 2: Select Ehome or ISUP protocol as the platform access mode. Then select Enable.

Step 3: Select a Ehome/ISUP protocol version, and input SVMS Pro platform WAN IP address. If managing cameras in LAN, please input SVMS Pro platform LAN IP address for server address. Input the port 7660. Then click Save on this Platform Access configuration page of Hikvision network camera.

Note: When select protocol version ISUP5.0, please input passwords: a12345678.

Step 4: Map the SVMS Pro Server network ports 7660 (UDP+TCP) and 54000-55000 (UDP+TCP).

Step 5: Login to the SVMS Pro Client. On the Control Panel page, click Device Management to enter device management interface.

2) Adding Dahua NAT Video Devices By Dahua Auto Registration Protocol

When access to Dahua NAT video devices (such as IP cameras, NVRs) by using Dahua auto registration protocol, front-end Dahua NAT video devices do not need to provide fixed IP address or map the ports.

Step 1:Open Dahua network camera web browser by inputting camera’s IP address on the WEB browser. Login by its account and password. Then go to  > Network > Register.

Charging

Please charge Ubell camera about 10-12 hours by plugging it into a power source using the provided USB cable. After connecting the camera with App, the App will indicate the battery status.

Turn on Ubell camera

Turn on the Ubell camera switch and wait for the camera to start (about 30 seconds)

ADD Ubell Camera

Please connect your phone to the 2.4Ghz wifi firstly before you pair the Ubell camera, make sure your router password in mind before you start the pairing process.

1. Click “Add a device” and then choose “Setup device”, click “Yes”, when you hear the following voice “ The camera is now ready to begin pairing”.

2. Input the CORRECT WiFi password of your router, if you input a wrong password you will not be able to connect it successfully. Click the eye icon to double confirm the password you entered correct

3. Enter into the “search device” page, make sure to turn up you phone’s volume to the Maximum, you will hear the following voice: “Pairing Information Received”.

4. You have connected the device to the App successfully.

Now you can setup a password to log in, which could protect your privacy. The camera password should be more than 8 characters in length including numbers and letters.

1. After you finish the connection with the App, click and choose “Share QR code” .

Orientation Setting

You can choose Normal Rotate,Mirror or Mirror and rotate depends on your hardware installation way. The default is Normal.

Environment Setting

You can choose to set it as Normal, back light compensation, night IR, High light compensation or Dynamic according to your actual light environment of installation place.

PIR Detection Setting

You can set the PIR sensitivity as Disabled,Low,Medium and High.

1. When you set the PIR as Disabled, you will not record and receive any motion triggered events.

2. It is recommended to set the PIR Detection to High so that you could capture as more as a motion triggered from the beginning part of the event.

3. Try to capture more the beginning of the triggered event, please adjust your camera angle a bit closer to your aimed spot.

Dormancy Time Setting

1. This is the time you could set for the video length recorded to micro sd card.

2. Not dormant: If you choose this option, you will not allow the camera enter into standby mode, the camera will keep recording all the time until battery drains out. ( 60 seconds per file)

LED Lamp Setting

When you choose Enable, the Blue LED will light up to indicate when you operate the camera as it should be.When you choose Disabled, the Blue LED will not light up to indicate the operations or trigger motions.It is recommended to set it as the default

Power frequency Setting

Please choose 60 or 50HZ according to your local frequency, It’s defaulted to 60HZ for united states users.

Common Problem

Why do I fail to connect the Ubell camera to the App by sound wave?

1. Please reset the camera by the pin included.
2. Please make sure the camera is powered on and there will be voice prompts that indicates it.
3. Make sure the distance between your mobile phone and the device is no more than 30cm. And your mobile, camera and router are in the same room.
4. Adjust your phone volume to maximum.
5. Double check your WiFi password and make sure it is correct.

When In-App setup is done, why I could not see the live streams on my mobile?

First, check in App to confirm the wifi signal is strong enough. If not,we would suggest adding wifi extender in between.

Why I cannot receive any alarm after I finished connecting the camera with the Ubell App ?

1. Downloading our Mobile App

You can go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, search for ‘CloudEdge, and download the app for free.

2. Register an Account and Log in

Launch the app and tap Sign up now to register a user account with your email ID. You can also choose to log in with your other accounts like Facebook, WeChat, or Apple ID.

3. Add new doorbells

3.1 Power on the doorbell

Switch on the doorbell and make sure the LED indicator flashes red (once per second). If not. Please press and hold the Reset Button for 5 seconds to restore the factory default.

3.2 Make sure your phone is connecting to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

The doorbell does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi frequency. Please connect your phone to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and operate the setup close to your router.

3.3 Charge your doorbell.

The battery inside the doorbell is not fully charged in accordance with transportation safety regulations. Prior to the doorbell installation, please charge your doorbell for about 8-10 hours. The charging LED turns BLUE from RED.

3.4 Add new doorbell

3.4.1 Adding device by QR code (default)

Tap ‘Add device’ or the ‘+’ icon, and select the doorbell. Set up Wi-Fi for your smart doorbell. by following the in-app instructions.

3.4.2 Add device by AP network (Alternative)

Tap ‘Add device’ or the ‘+’ icon > select doorbell > tap on the QR codes icon select AP network.

→ Press and hold the Reset Button for 5 seconds to reset the doorbell – connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fiand input the Wi-Fi password – tap ‘connect’ to go to the smartphone WLAN setting, and search for doorbell AP network(STRN_xxxxxx) to connect to.

→ go back to CloudEdge app doorbell connecting to the selected Wi-Fi> connection completes → Device adding succeeds.

How to connect CloudEdge devices using Bluetooth

1)On the Homepage, tap “Add” or “+” in the upper right corner, and tap “Add Device.”

2) If the Bluetooth of the cellphone doesn’t turn on, the app will show a pop-up, so please allow it to turn on Bluetooth.

3)After Bluetooth turns on, the app will automatically search for devices that are on and not bound. Select the device you want to connect to in the search list.

4)Select the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi that you want the camera to connect to and enter the password. When the Bluetooth is on, the app will automatically show you the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi that could be connected. 5GHz Wi-Fi will not be shown. Normally, the Wi-Fi name and password of your 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi are the same or similar. If you can’t find your Wi-Fi, please contact your router provider to check the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi setting of your router.

5)The app will automatically go to the page where the Wi-Fi connection is in progress. A sound will be heard. Wait for the connection to be successful and the camera indicator light to change to steady blue. Click “Next” to edit the camera name and choose a family. Click “Done” to finish the setup.

What should I do if the APP asks that the device cannot be accessed?

What can I do if the app frequently fails to load the video and shows an interruption?

Correct the problem according to the status of the camera’s indicator lamp:

1.If the indicator light is off, it means that the device is not receiving power. Carefully check the power supply and whether the power supply interface is normal. It is recommended that you change the power supply and give it a try.

P6SLite camera use precautions

Download P6SLite APP

Download and install “P6Slite” from IOS app store or Android app store or scan the QR code below to get APP information.

Users can register and log in via email (please use real email to retrieve password later).

Note: Please be sure to use your account to log in the APP, otherwise some camera functions may not work properly.

Turn on the P6SLite Camera

Plug the power into the power of the camera and wait a few seconds for the P6SLite camera to automatically turn on.

Voice prompt at power-on ”The system is starting up, please wait”. If there is no voice reminder, please restore the factory settings and try again.

Note: Do not twist the head of the camera to force it to rotate after turning it on. If you need to adjust the monitoring orientation, you can adjust it through the PT function of the mobile APP.

Connect P6SLite Camera To Wifi

Open the P6SLite APP, click “+” in the upper right corner of the home page, select “Add Wi-Fi Device”, click “Next” to add WiFi camera.

Method 1：add camera by scan QR Code

1. Select “Please use the scan code distribution network to connect the router”.

2. Choose your wireless network and enter the password, click “Next”.

3. Please face the QR code on the camera lens and keep it at distance of about 15 cm, then if you hear”WiFi connection, please wait” click “Next”.

4. Wait for the P6Slite camera to connect to WIFI

If the camera is successfully connected to WIFI, you will hear “WiFi is connecting, please wait ….network connection successful” and see the camera in the device list.

Method 2：add camera by AP Hotspot

1. Select “Please use the AP hotspot distribution network”.

2. Click the button to jump to the WiFi setting page (Android system not have this page, please skip this step).

3. Select the camera’s AP hotspot, it’s an AP hotspot beginning with “ZWAP_NG…”, enter password: 01234567 to connect AP hotspot (If you do not find the AP hotspot, please try to reset the camera)

4. Return to APP, select your wireless network in the available wireless list to connect. (WiFi signal strength must be greater than 3 cells).

5. Enter your WiFi password, click “Confirm”.

6. Wait for the camera to connect to WiFi.

Share P6SLite Camera

Open the P6SLite APP, click the ‘···’ button on the top right corner of the PT AI camera device preview on the homepage, and select ‘Sharing management’ to enter the sharing settings and invite others to watch. The person being shared needs to download the P6SLite APP, register an account and log in to view.

View in Real Time

Open the P6SLite APP, click the connected camera on the home page, and you can browse in real time. Through the camera’s control interface, you can adjust the camera’s sharpness, horizontal and vertical angles, as well as screen capture and recording, and remote calls operation, etc.

Video Playback

The P6SLite camera can only use the historical video playback function after installing a MicroSD memory card. After the MicroSD memory card is installed and turned on, the camera will automatically start recording video.

In the camera control interface, click the button ‘Playback’ to enter the historical video playback interface. You can drag the timeline to select the time period to be played back, or you can use the button ‘Date’ to select historical videos on different dates.

Alarm and AI Human Tracking

Click “Arm/Disarm” to open or closed the alarm push (image send to mailbox + mobile phone), at the same time you must set the correct alarm parameters, such as open email and push notification in “Humanoid Tracking”.

Reset P6SLite camera

Insert the reset pin into the reset hole and press for 5 seconds to restore the factory settings. (When connecting or reconfiguring the P6SLite camera for the first time, make sure that the camera is in the factory reset state).

Why does the P6SLite camera prompt a password error?

The camera password may has been changed, please press the “Reset” button of the camera for 5 seconds. the camera voice prompts “Reset successful”, then follow the steps above to re-add the camera.

Why is the P6SLite camera offline?

Please check wireless network that camera is connected can connect to the Internet or the wireless password has not changed.

Why does P6SLite not receive alarm notifications?

Please check if the push function is turned on (displayed as “Arm/Disarm” to open), whether there is open alarm push linkage (Setting – Motion Detection/Humanoid Tracking), whether the APP allows push permission on the mobile phone.

When playback video can not find video files?

Find the file  in the software directory, double-click the EasyVMS installation file to install the client software, and the login dialog box will pop up, as shown below. The current page will be adapted according to the full Chinese and English systems.

Then click Run EasyVMS softwareand choose the language that suits you to log in to the system;

Local login user name default: admin, password default: empty; After logging in, select the software in the upper right corner  to log out of the software;

Cloud account login, please enter APP P6SLite account, currently supports scanning code login and manual account input (manual input requires attention to the choice of server)

Interface Introduction

The main navigation buttons at the top of the interface are real-time preview, remote playback, electronic album, device management, system log, alarm information, plan recording, system settings, click the navigation button to enter the corresponding configuration interface. On the left side of the interface is the device navigation, on the right is the display area, and in the upper right corner are the help, logout, minimize, maximize, and close buttons. Start with device management and add devices.

Device Management

Click the Device Management button to enter the Device Management page, as shown in the following figure; On the device management page, you can perform manual adding, modifying, batch deleting, batch upgrading, APP cloud account management, region adding, as well as batch adding, batch modifying IP, and successfully added devices, right-click remote settings, time synchronization, clear alarms, display QR codes and other functions.

Zone configuration

For easy zone device management (the default zone is preferred when added by camera), you can right-click the default zone to customize the new zone, or click Add Zone below.

ADD P6SLite Camera

Click the refresh button in the lower right corner to search for the P6SLite camera

Select the IP address of the camera, then click “Batch Change IP” to modify the IP address of the camera.

If you don’t know how to modify the IP address, please check the “Refer to the computer network card to set the IP” software will automatically modify the IP address according to your network environment, of course, you can also manually modify the IP address.

The default user name of the device: admin, password: empty, click Confirm, save the modified IP address, and then click the refresh button again, search for the new IP address again, and then select the IP address and click Add in bulk.

Then click the real-time preview button to enter the preview interface

Double-click the IP address of the camera on the right, and the video will be automatically displayed in the surveillance screen on the right.

If you add multiple devices, you can select the Default Region context menu and select Turn on automatically, Open by region, Close preview by region.

Delete Camera

Select one or more devices to be deleted in the device list, click the Delete button, the system will prompt whether to confirm the deletion of the device, click the [OK] button, the device on the default zone list will be deleted.

Upgrade Camera

Local upgrade: Select the device you want to upgrade in the list of added devices, and then select Bulk upgrade. Be sure to restore the factory settings after the upgrade is successful.

Cloud Upgrade: Select the device to be upgraded in the list of added devices, and then select Cloud Upgrade (whether the device supports cloud upgrade), otherwise the Cloud Upgrade page will not be prompted

Enter the remote playback interface, select the channel that needs to be played back on the left device tree (Note: currently only supports one playback all the way), select the date on the calendar, click the “Search” button, the system starts to search for the recording in the hard disk recorder (or local hard disk), and display the search results in the search results panel. As shown in the following figure:

· Play button, tap when the recording stops to resume playback.

· Pause the playback button, tap the playback pause while the recording is playing, and tap again to resume playback.

· Stop playing button, tap while playing to stop the screen.

· Audio control button, tap to turn on/off audio playback during playback.

· Choose  hasten  Slow down Fast/slow rate control is possible.

· Click  Playback capture button, you can take a screenshot of the playback screen.

Timeline operations

(1) The scale on the timeline is 0-24 points.

(2) Mouse over the timeline to scroll to zoom in and out of the timeline.

(3) Double-click the timeline to play it directly.

Device control

The device management interface can also control the device, including: time synchronization, camera restart, clear alarm, etc.

Time synchronization

In the Device Management > the Added Device interface, select the device and click the [Time Sync] button to synchronize the device time with the PC time.

System settings

Click System Settings to enter the local settings of the software.

1.You can set the EasyVMS software to automatically open at startup, check the button   , and save. After saving, EasyVMS will automatically run after the next boot.

2.You can set the automatic calibration interval time of the device, check the button, and enter the interval time (such as: 120). After saving, each device will automatically calibrate every 120 minutes. It is recommended to calibrate every 30 minutes

3.You can set the local recording duration, select the recording duration input box, and enter the recording duration (for example: 30). Once saved, each recording is saved with an interval of 30 minutes. You can also set the recording format and select the recording format (e.g. PRV/AVI). After saving, the local recording format is . PRV.  A dedicated PRV player can be downloaded on the official website

4.You can set the log retention period and directly select the recording duration (e.g. six months). Once saved, logs are retained for six months.

5.You can set the capture and video saving path, click to select the path, such as (G: EasyVMSImage/ G: EasyVMSVideo). After saving, the capture path is set to G: EasyVMSImage, the recording path is set to G: EasyVMSVideo.

Account management: Enter the system settings interface to manage local account login, including creating operator users, creating guest users, modifying user passwords, and deleting devices.

Click the “System Settings” button, click the “Account Management” button, click [Create], enter the new user name, password and user group (such as operator) to save, the user group will have one more new user “user1”.

Click the [Account Management] button, select the operator user user1, and click [Delete]. After deletion, the new user disappears.

To turn off single-way preview, you can right-click “Close Preview” on the list that pops up the video channel to turn off the channel preview.

· The icon is to turn off the full channel preview button, clicking it will close all preview screens.

· The icon  is the capture button, click to capture the current channel image to the local computer.

· The icon  is the on/off full-channel recording button, clicking it will enable/disable full-channel recording.

· The icon  is the on/off audio button, clicking it will turn channel audio on/off.

· The icon  is the screen split button, click to set the number of screen split paths, currently supports single screen, four screen, nine screen, sixteen screen, twenty-five screen, thirty-six screen road preview.

· The icon  is a preview of the next video screen, which can be used in single screen, four screen, nine screen, sixteen screen, twenty-five screen, thirty-six screen, etc.

· The icon  is a full-screen toggle button, click to switch to full-screen preview. In full screen, you can right-click “exit full screen” or press the keyboard ESC key to exit.

· The icon  is a group tour, and you can group the picture in the case of many cameras or NVR images. Then make a grouped preview

Night vision mode; Set the night market mode on a dual-light device to achieve a full-color image at night.

IR-CUT sensitivity (the higher the modified value, the higher the sensitivity): The earlier the black and white image is switched at night.

IR-CUT switching time (the larger the modification value, the longer the switching time): Extend the time to switch black and white images.

The image is flipped, and the image can be selected to be corrected by software when the camera is hoisted.

Refers to the way to enable or disable motion detection, and the way to trigger the motion detection alarm is to trigger the email (capture a picture when the alarm is sent to the specified mailbox by email, and the mailbox must be set up first);

Trigger FTP (capture a picture when alarming, and send the picture to the FTP terminal through the set FTP server); Linkage push (refers to whether to receive camera alarm reminders, the subscription function on the home page needs to enable linkage push);

Trigger capture (a picture will be captured when a moving signal is detected, and the captured picture can be viewed in the message function on the home page); trigger recording (recording in different colors after detecting a moving signal);

Select the area (refers to the selected area on the screen with a movement signal will alarm, the selected area is subject to the green box)

Client logs

Enter the system log interface, select the client log, select the user, start time, end time and other conditions to filter, click the [Query] button, you can query all the operation log information according to the conditions, each log information includes the operation user name, machine IP, time, description and other information.

Click the Export button to save the operation information as a .csv format file, as shown in the following figure. ：

Electronic photo album

The electronic album is mainly used for the management of local channel capture and post-recording files, and users can search for viewing and deleting a series of operations according to different filter types.

Search by device, select any device, and search for local pictures and videos under that device.
Search by date, select a date (e.g. June 5) to search for local images and videos under that date.
Search by media type, select the image/video type (e.g. Video) to search all local video files.
In addition, you can delete and jump the playback operation of the picture/video, and directly select the file and right-click to execute.

Alarm information

The alarm information interface records all types of alarm information of the software, including motion detection, video loss, alarm input, heartbeat loss, etc., and users can view, export and backup operations on various alarm information.

View alarm information

Select the alarm information type (for example, only check Video Loss and Alarm Input) to view all categories of alarm information: click the [Export] button, select the save path, and export the alarm information to the local computer.

This post will walk you through the steps for setting up Network Attached Storage (NAS) for your Hikvision camera, including a few “gotchas” we’ve learned along the way. (This post will focus on NAS setup, we will create a separate article for SD card setup.)

Important: The Gotchas you Need to Know

The first step is to prep your NAS so it is ready to accept video saved from a Hikvision IP camera. (Our screenshots are from a QNAP device but these steps are generally true for any device.) Before beginning there are a few upfront “gotchas” you need to know.

Setup Steps

Step 1: Basic NAS Setup. Begin by, (i) ensuring your NAS basic setup is complete according to its user manual (general setup, firmware updates, etc), (ii) you have your login credentials handy, (iii) the NAS is connected to your local network (including identifying its internal IP address), and (iv) you can reach the NAS UI from your web browser.

Step 2: Basic Hikvision Setup. Ensure your Hikvision IP camera is connected to the same network as your NAS.

Step 3: Create NAS Partition. Follow your NAS instructions for creating a partition — if using a new or separate hard disk drive (HDD), create a partition on that particular drive. In the case of QNAP, this is located in the Storage Manager settings but you’ll need to follow your NAS detailed guides for this step.

Step 4: Create Share Folders. You will need to create a share folder for each camera that will be using the NAS. Name each share folder a name that identifies with the camera being used, for example: Camera_1, Camera_2, Camera_3… etc. (It’s recommended that you don’t use any spaces in your folder names.)

Step 5: Hikvision Storage Setup. Now you’re ready to configure your Hikvision camera storage options. First you’ll need to make the camera aware of the new storage location. This can be done under the following menu: Storage -> Storage Management -> Net HDD. Screenshot below shows where this is done. Here you click on any slot and fill in the server address (internal IP of the NAS) and the file path (share folder you created in step #4). Also enter the username and password of the NAS. Leave the mounting type as NFS if it’s a dedicated partition. Use the Test button to validate connectivity to your NAS.

Step 6: Configure your Hikvision camera recording settings. This is probably worth a blog post in and of itself, but the basic idea is you need to configure the Hikvision IP camera so it knows when you want the camera to record (motion detection, scheduling, etc) and where you want it to record (in this case, the NAS). This is done by configuring an “Event” and assigning a “Linkage” to the NAS – Step #3 of this post on how to setup a Hikvision camera with Camcloud shares the basic concepts which should get you going. Beyond that you can adjust other settings with the Storage -> Schedule Settings -> Record Schedule menu to select motion or continuous based recording to the NAS.

This is a user guide for CMSClient version V1.00.00.47, it’s applied to software version is equal or newer than V1.00.00.47. If you are running older version (e.g. V1.00.00.46, V1.00.00.45), please download and upgrade your existing one to the latest. It should be noted that Yoosee has no app be compatible with Windows smartphone. If you have a smartphone running Windows OS, obviously you can not use Yoosee camera. The Yoosee software team will not release App for Windows based smartphone.

What CMSClient does?

CMSClient provides users a centralized video surveillance solution. It allows users to manage multiple cameras simultaneously, users can preview, record, playback, even receive alarm alerts by using it.  Users also can change yoosee camera’s network settings (such as IP address, gateway, DNS), can shift recording video resolution from SD to HD, can modify camera’s password.

Installation of CMSClient software

The software doesn’t contain any virus, if your anti-virus software report virus warning, please check if you have downloaded the software from official website. The software requires permission to access your network/Internet, it uses RTSP stream protocol to communicate with cameras locally, and P2P protocol to communicate with Internet cameras. When installing the software, ensuring it allows to pass Windows firewall.  The software will keep communicating with remote servers intending to establish P2P connection, it doesn’t spy your video, doesn’t transmit/upload any video clips to remote servers.

Logon CMSClient Software

CMSClient software now allows users to login through three different types of account.

• Admin login: local login, don’t require users to register an account. No need to input password, click “OK” to login immediately. The software can automatically discover local cameras, but can not discover Internet cameras.
• Phone Number login: remote login with your registered yoosee account, after logon, the software will list added cameras in your account.
• Mail/user ID login: remote login with your registered yoosee account, after logon, the software will list added cameras belongs to your account.

Moreover, select either “Phone number login” or “Mail/user ID login”, the software can receive motion detection (or sensor triggered) alert to computer. When motion detection alarm occurs, the software will pop-up a new window automatically to alert users, it also can play selectable audible automatically to remind users.

How to add Yoosee Cameras?

After logon, CMSClient will automatically discover local connected cameras, click “Add all” to add them into your software. Please note the displayed p2p password and rtsp password default is “qwe123”, it’s an incorrect password, just ignore them.

Except adding automatically, users can click “+” icon on the left bottom to manually add cameras. In “Device manager” window, local connected cameras will be listed on the left column, click “>>” button can add to software which will appear in right column. Click “Manual add device”, you can add local connected cameras via entering device ID, device password, RTSP password. Click”Add shared device” to add cameras as a guest user. How to use CMSClient software?

Once you added devices to software, you’re able to use each functions of it. Select device you want to manage, right click mouse will pop-up a menu list.

• Device property: change camera name, device password, rtsp password and group.
• Delete node: delete camera from this list/software.
• Start monitoring: start to preview real-time video (if it shows you a crying face, it means password is incorrect)
• Smooth/standard definition/high definition: before click start monitoring, you should choose default image resolution, smooth equals low resolution, standard definition equals VGA (640×480), HD equals 1280×720 or 1920×1080.
• IPC config: you’re able to tweak camera’s network settings (e.g. IP address, DNS), record video resolution (SD, or HD), password.  It only works on the premise that your camera’s password is correct. If you encounter “network timeout” “permission error” “password incorrect” error, to solve this, you need to logon software with yoosee registered account.

CMSClient Playback Function

You’re able to playback recorded video clips right from your computer. The CMSClient can only allows users to play remotely and locally recorded video clips, but also can allow you convert them to friendly .mp4 files which can be recognized and played by regular media players.

Click “Search” button on the left top, the camera can search files, click the file name to playback. Additionally, you can click folder icon to open a file to play it. All yoosee camera will record video with .av file extension. These raw files can not be recognized or played by regular media players, you can use the converter which the software has included to convert .av files to .mp4 files.

CMSClient software is a powerful video surveillance management tool, it includes other function to provide a great flexibility. Click gear icon on the top of software, it will pop-up a “CMS config” window.

• File save path: select the folder path to store recorded video footage.
• Reserve space: allowing users to modify reserved space for video storage in your HDD.
• Record time for package: the time length to patch a video file when recording video. If the value is “60” min, the software will patch/generate a video file in every hour when software is recording on computer.
• Cycle record: turn on/off over-write function, automatically erase/overwrite HDD when space is full.
• Auto start record when monitoring: record video while watch video stream.
• Connect all of device automatically: automatically display video for all cameras/channels after logon software.
• Render mode: Directdraw, GDI
• Monitor: auto, rtsp, p2p
• Message notification: choose whether receiving message notification or not when there is a motion detection alarm.

If you logon software with registered yoosee account, the software will have “Alarm trigger” option. This open allows you to select time length of pop-up video when alarm occurs. You’re able to choose different audio files, the computer will play the audio to remind users.

Getting Started: Enabling the VIVOCloud service in your device

Before starting using your VIVOCloud application, you must enable the VIVOCloud service in your devices. This guide will teach you how to enable the service in easy to follow steps:

Step 1. Log in to your NVR device using its username and password.

Step 2. Click on the gear icon to access the NVR configurations.

Step 3. In the Settings interface, select the System tab and click on “VIVOCloud service”.

Step 4. In the VIVOCloud service interface, you will see a “blue” button (old interface) or a “gray” button (new interface). Clicking this button will enable the VIVOCloud service on your NVR.

After clicking it, the NVR will start connecting to the VIVOCloud server and register the service (this might take 1-2 minutes depending on your internet connection). Once the connection is established and the device is registered in the cloud system, a QR code and Device ID will be displayed below.

Note: If you are using the local console, follow the same steps, as both the Local and Web interfaces are the same in this regard.

Now the device service is enabled and you should be able to add it to your VIVOCloud application.

In order to add your VIVOCloud compatible device, you need to use a QR code or Device ID. This document will explain where to find this information:

Enabling the Service:

Before being able to add your device using its QR code or Device ID, you need to ensure that the VIVOCloud service is enabled. First, log in to your NVR device using its username and password.

Step 2. Go to the camera configuration by clicking on the “Configuration” tab.

Step 4. Click the “Connect” button to generate a unique QR code/Device ID which will be used to add the device into the VIVOCloud application.

For security purposes, the QR code and Device ID will only be available for 5 minutes so please be sure to have your phone at hand to fastly add the device into the application.

Devices configured in your VIVOCloud account can be shared to other users (e.g family members, coworkers, etc.). To share devices please follow the next steps:

Step 1. Login into your VIVOCloud phone application.

Step 3. Once the menu has appeared, click on the “Share devices” button to start the sharing process.

Step 4. In the “Share devices” interface, click on the “SHARE YOUR DEVICES” button to start registering the email of the user you want to share the devices with.  

Step 5.  Type the email address (user with VIVOCloud account) which will be accessing your device and click the “NEXT” button to continue.

Step 6. All of your configured devices will be listed. Select the devices to share by checking them, click “Done” when finished. 

Once the device is ready to share you will see a green arrow notification.

Step 7. Click on the “Share” button to share the device to the configured email account.

If your network firewall or router only allows connections to specific ports, please ensure that the ports listed above are not blocked from inside to outside; otherwise, this could cause issues when the NVR/Camera tries to connect to the VIVOCloud server. Below is a list of possible situations you might encounter if the ports are not properly opened.

Situation 1. Cannot enable the VIVOCloud service in the NVR

If port 1194 is not opened, the VIVOCloud service on the NVR will display an yellow ‘!’ icon.

Situation 2. Portal connection issues with NVR

If the port 3478 is not opened, VIVOCloud portal will show the device as “Connecting”.

Situation 3. Slow video connection

If the other ports are not opened, you may not see an image on VIVOCloud, or the image may load slowly.

Ensuring that the necessary ports are not blocked by your network’s firewall or router is crucial for establishing a successful connection between your NVR/Camera and the VIVOCloud server. VIVOCloud service allows you to remotely access your NVR/Camera videos remotely using the browser or application without the need opening ports or performing extra configurations. If you encounter any issues while using this service please be sure to check the following:

1. Check that you are using a compatible browser:

If you are trying to access the VIVOCloud webportal (service.vivocloud.com), be sure to use the Firefox browser. 

The VIVOCloud portal is only supported by this browser, if you use other browser you wont be able to access your NVR videos. You can find more information about browser compatibility in the VIVOCloud official webpage: https://www.vivotek.com/vivocloud#portal

2. Check that the VIVOCloud service is enabled

Before using the VIVOCloud service you need to enable it, in order to do so please go to your ND device configuration, under System > VIVOCloud service and be sure that the service is enabled. There should be a green mark next to the blue button, if you don’t see this mark you might need to click on the button to enable the service.

3. Check that the ND device was only added to one account:

Each ND device can only be registered to one VIVOCloud account, if you already added to another account and try it to add it into a new account you will find the following error:

If you want to delete the NVR from any other accounts because you want to add it to a new account you just need to disable the service in the configuration page and re-enable it, this will automatically remove the device from the original account. Please note that if the device was previously shared to another account it will also be removed. 

4. Network and configuration check

The VIVOCloud service server is very strict with its data management so you need to be sure that everything is properly configured otherwise you might not be able to enable the function on the ND. Before enable the service please be sure to verify the following: 

a) Time zone needs to match your access point time zone: 

b) ND IP must be properly configured and the device internal network access point needs to have access to WAN.

c) Be sure that your NVR is up to date and is using the latest firmware available

If you don’t know how to upgrade the device, feel free to check this documentation: 

d) Be sure that the service main ports are accessible, if the main ports used for server communication are being blocked you wont be able to add the device to your VIVOCloud account. Here is a document that explains in detail which ports are used by the service.

How to upgrade older TKH Security Firmwares

The latest 360v2-series cameras firmware carries “UX“ in its firmware filename, where previously “U“ was used. This change is minor and does not mean much with regards to the functionality of the firmware. However, some older “U” do not allow direct upgrade to the latest “UX“ firmware.

In these cases, an intermediate step must be taken: first upgrade firmware to the nk20210916UX version; after this, the camera will allow the firmware upgrade to the latest version found on the public download pages.

Before the update it is required that the state of the system is known. Not functioning readers, nodes and lines must be noted.

Update

Download the Backup from the maintenance page.

Upload the new iProtect™ version at the maintenance page

• Go to the iProtect™ maintenance page (Click on the gear button on the login screen)

• Install > Upload iProtect (1)

• Click on the “…” button and select the new iProtect™ version at the maintenance page and click on the “Post” button.

When the “Check requirements” button appears, press it and a check will be done. Check the log and see what is needed to continue. This is also a good moment to install the ServicePack.

Click on the “…” button and select the ServicePack you want to install and click on the “Post” Button.

You can follow the installation process at the realtime logging, the Apache2 web server will restart multiple times, this will cause an interruption of the iProtect™ Gui and maintenance page.

You need to wait (10 minutes max) till you see the message below in the Realtime logging.

iProtect™ atlas: Installation ServicePack … finished.

Sometimes a reboot of the server is required, you will see a notification of this in the messages.

Install the new iProtect™ version at the maintenance page 

• Click on the “Check Requirements” button.

• if the check is passed you get a “Start Upgrade” button and can start the update by a click on this button.

You can follow the installation at the User interface logging, if you see the messages below the Gui is ready and you can login in iProtect™ again (only the root user can login at this point)

You must delete browser history before logging in to iProtect.

Activating lines

To be sure all lines and nodes gets the latest software, select the system default Provisioner group.

• Go to iProtect™ menu option Installation > Hardware > Line

• Select System default at the Provisioner group options.

The components under the line config will automatically be provided with the latest firmware version.

Activate the line’s now, the Door controllers will get the new software and start with the installation automatically. The doors will be non-functional for 5-10 minutes. Open doors beforehand if they are critical.

Finishing the update

When all lines are updated and the re-index message is gone, you can finish the update with the button in the menu:

Installation > Database restore > Activate line

This issue appears because iViewer(iOS)3.12.2 removed the server push mechanism but  iViewer(Android) still keeps it.
Therefore, iViewer(iOS) cannot get the 7000 series streaming when using codec JPEG but iViewer(Android) works well.In order to resolve this issue, please change the camera codec from JPEG to MPEG-4.

1. Sip port (Two way audio port). The default port is 5060.

2. RTP port for audio. The default port is 5558.

You can change the port value if needed.
For the SIP port, the range of port value is as below: 1025~65535.
For the RTP port for audio, the range of port value is as below: 1025~65535.

Our APP only support ARM CPU, not fully supported by x86 CPU device.
Though x86 CPU would try to interpret ARM library, however, when it failed on doing that the APP would go crashed.
Nowadays there barely got x86 smart phone, the most common series is ASUS Zenphone, but they stop using x86 from 3rd genereation.
This is current limitation, hope we can get your understanding.
