1. Login to Dahua NVR Web GUI using Internet Explorer.

2. Click on Settings > Camera.

3. Click on Camera list (Some recorder will label it as Registration)

4. Find the camera channel you want audio to be disable, click on E Internet Explorer icon.

5. It will take you to the login page of Dahua IP Camera. Login with Camera credential.

6. Go to Settings > Camera > Audio. By default the Audio settings is enabled.

7. Click on the checkmark to uncheck on both main and substream.

8. Click Save.

No Audio from Live Feed

There are following possibilities:

1. Make sure your audio on the computer or television is enabled and working by playing music or watching a video with audio online. You should see this audio meter change when playing music or video on the computer/television.

2. Once you have confirmed your audio is working on your speaker, and if you still can’t hear from your Live Feed, check your connections. If you are using an external microphone that plugs into the camera, please make sure you are supplying power to since the camera does not. See picture below:

3. If your connections and power are in order but you still cannot get audio from your live feed, log into your IP Camera or NVR and change the following settings.

4. If you are accessing your audio feed from a computer also make sure you have the speaker symbol enabled to enable audio from the Live Feed.

There is Audio from Live Feed, No Audio During Playback

There are following possibilities:

1. Make Sure your camera with a microphone is working via live stream, please follow the NoAudio guide for details.

2. After ensuring you are receiving an audio feed, log onto your NVR and make sure your encoding setup is correct (Setup>Image>Encode>) and make sure your are on the right channel where the camera has a working microphone. Now make sure audio is enabled for either or both the Main Stream and Sub Stream (whichever you are recording on)

3. Also make sure your camera is scheduled to record during specified operation.

5. Now playback a recording of a camera that had picked up audio, you can also simulate this by making noise by the microphone and playing that segment back. Also make sure that the Volume button is not on mute and is turned all the way up during playback.

5. If Working environment is too harsh, too much dust then clean it.

6. If Hardware malfunction then replace hardware.

How to set the date and time

Time display is not correct.

GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time.

2. Setup DST, if applicable.

3. “Sync PC” if all else fails.

4. Click, “OK” to save your changes.

Burn error /USB back error.

Explanation:

1. If Burner and NVR are in the same data cable, then separate them.

2. If System uses too much CPU resources. Then please stop record first and then begin backup.

3. If Data amount exceeds backup device capacity which may result in burner error. Then please delete data.

4. If Backup device is not compatible, please change backup device.

5. If Backup device is damaged, please change backup device.

How to connect a LaView Saturn Series IP Camera to a Non-Saturn Series NVR

5a. If you are connecting the camera to the NVR PoE port, set up the Target IP to 192.168.254.xxx (xxx being a random number from 2-254), and Gateway to  192.168.254.1, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0. Then unplug the camera from the PoE switch or Router and connect it to the NVR using Cat5e cable.

5b. If you are connecting the camera via LAN, use DHCP or set up the IP address to your network range. For example: Target IP 192.168.0.217, Subnet 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.0.1

6. Go the NVR Menu => Camera => Camera.

7. Click on the channel which the camera is connected to (ie if the camera is connected to port 3 on the back of the NVR, click on channel 3). If you are connecting the camera via LAN, Click on any unused channel.

8. Change ‘Plug and Play’ to ‘Manual’ and enter the camera IP address (192.168.254.xxx or 192.168.0.217 as in previous example)

9. Change protocol to ONVIF and Management port is 80

10. Enter user name and password you set up when you activated the camera in step 3.

How to reset LaView Saturn IP Camera

What should I do if I connect a LaView Saturn Camera to LV-N96, LV-N95, LV-N98 series NVR but only get 720P maximum resolution in main stream?

If you only get 720p in mainstream, it means the IP camera is set to H.265. Please use the following instruction to switch the camera to H.264 compression.

The system worked seamlessly until last week when it suddenly shut off and now won’t come back on

Would suggestion you follow the instruction below for troubleshooting,

1.Please ensure the cameras are connected, would suggest you to connect them directly to the PoE ports at the back of the system.

2.At the day time, try to cover the camera lens with your hands to see if there is a IR red light on the problematic cameras. And please also check if the camera goes hot when it is connected.

3.The camera appears not to get powe if there is no light and heat. We will need to check if it is the camera/port/cable issue.

1.At first, please switch the problematic camera to the workable PoE ports to test. You can also go to your PoE Configuration setting to check the power.

2.If it still doesn’t work with another port, please exchange the cable to check again. If possible, you can also add the camera to another system to confirm the problem.

NVR is showing offline on Platform Access menu

In this case, please check the connection between the router and the NVR. Unplug and plug the ethernet cable to make sure the connection is solid. 

Then go to the NVR system, enable ‘DHCP’, “Obtain DNS Server Address” and ‘Platform Access’, disable  ‘DDNS’ and check if the status of the NVR changes from “Offline” to “Online”. Please see the pictures attached as a reference.

If it doesn’t work, please try to reboot the system to see if the issue can be resolved.

How to add Wi-Fi Cam (One PT ) to your NVR

1. Make sure One PT camera and the NVR are well connected to the same LAN. 

2. Enter the camera management menu of NVR, select an unoccupied channel, and click the “Edit” icon to add the camera manually.

3. Make sure the adding method is manual, select the ONVIF protocol, enter the correct IPv4 Address and password of the camera. 

 (Please click the link below, download the IP Portal software to your PC/laptop. Then open it to locate the IP Address and the management port of your camera.)

Password Reset via XML files

Please find a 12V power adapter to power up your camera. And directly connect this camera to the router with an Ethernet cable if you need to reset the password via XML files.

Please power on the device (NVR/DVR/cameras) and connect it to the router via an ethernet cable first.

Then find the attachment and follow the instructions to export the XML file and send it to us. We will help to generate a key file and send it back to you to reset the password.

Kindly pay attention to the following when you export the file.

1. BOTH THE EXPORTED AND IMPORTED XML FILE IS VALID FOR ONLY 24 HOURS.

2. MAKE SURE THE DEVICE STAYS POWER ON AND ONLINE AFTER EXPORTING THE FILE.

Setup Email Notification

Please refer to the instructions to set up the email notifications. Here I will take the Outlook account as an example. (Sorry that Gmail is not supported anymore, please use other email addresses to set it up.)

First, please go to the Outlook mailbox settings and enable POP option.

Secondly, please go to your camera management settings -> tap into ‘Settings’ -> find ‘Linakge Action’ to enable ‘Send Email’ for each of your camera.

Set up DDNS

You may follow the steps below to enable the DDNS feature,

1.Log in to http://laviewddns.com/ and set up an account

2.In the NVR interface, enter the correct account and setting in DDNS menu

3.In the router menu, assign Port 80, Port 8000 and Port 8554 to the IP address of the system

4.Go to www.canyouseeme.org to ensure the ports are opened

Set up PC viewing by PT Cloud

If you need to remotely view your system when you are not under the same Wi-Fi, please try to follow the steps below to set up the P2P connection.

Before adding your system to the PC software, please make sure your system is connected to the router(network) and is showing ‘Online’ status. Please go to your system menu -> Configuration -> Network -> PT Cloud/Platform Access to double-check your system’s online status.

Here I will take my NVMS V3 as an example.

1. Go to NVMS V3, go to ‘Maintenance and Management.

2. Click ‘Add’ here.

3. Choose ‘PT COULD’ here.

4. Log in to the LaView Connect app. Go to the ‘More’-> ‘Account Management’. Note down the ‘Username'(which belongs to your LaView P2P account) and ‘Country/Region’ information.

5. Get back the Client Software.

6. After logging in to the PT cloud account, please tap ‘Online’ and search for and choose the online device you would like to add.

7. Input the verification code set in ‘Platform Access’ in NVR and tap the “Add” icon.

8. Then you are good to go now.

9. Go to ‘Main View’ on the Client Software, you are also required to input the same verification code to watch the cameras. Please input the one as #7.

Set up PC viewing by IP address

Please download the PC software NVMS V3 or NVMS 7000 on your laptop to set up PC viewing. Kindly find the tools at this link: http://www.ltsecurityinc.com/downloads

Here are more instructions about the NVMS V3.

In the example, NVMS V3 will automatically detect the online device so we are adding the device with its IP address. In this way, the system and the computer will be requested to connect to the same local network so that the software can auto-detect the online system.

1. Please go to ‘Device Management.

2. Please go to ‘Online device’ and your system will be found automatically.

3. Please choose your system from the online device and click on ‘Add’.

​4. Please enter the admin name and the admin password of your system in the box popping out.

5. Your system should be added and please go to ‘Main View’ on the home page.

No video on monitor

Will need to confirm the resolution of the camera first. Kindly note that the resolution of the monitor should be higher than the camera’s. Otherwise, the monitor will go black. Please get in touch with our LaView Support Team and provide the model number of your camera as well as your system if you do not know the system resolution.

If the monitor and system work fine before but quit working suddenly, please change the HDMI/VGA cable to check this issue.

If you have another monitor, please also exchange it to see if it can work. If necessary, you can also try to access your system on your computer to double-check.

I tried to change the name of my camera, but I’m getting “Camera Does not support this function”.

It is possible that there are no cameras connected to that specific channel or the camera has lost connectivity. If you are using a third-party camera it is possible the ONVIF protocol supported by camera is outdated which does not support OSD configuration.

Is it possible to connect a third-party camera to a LaView NVR, or a LaView Camera to a third-party NVR?

Yes, if the third-party devices support the ONVIF protocol and you are using the correct setup for the specific camera.

I’m having issues connecting my NVR to my phone

Possible Fixes:

1.Please go to Menu-Configuration-Network and under the General tab make sure enable DHCP is selected, if it is not enabled then select enable and apply. If you had to enable it, restart the NVR and try the P2P setup again.

2.If you are still having issues, make sure DDNS is NOT enabled(unchecked). If DDNS is checked, uncheck it and apply then go back to Platform Access and disable P2P and apply. Once both are disabled, do a power cycle and reboot the unit. After the unit restarts enable P2P again, and do another power cycle.

3.Go to Extranet Access, Platform Access or DDNS and make sure LaView P2P is selected then apply, also make sure “Enable Stream Encryption” is disabled.

4. If none of these work, then it could be a network issue. Try to restart your modem/router by unplugging it for about 45 seconds. Plug it back in and restart the NVR, then try to reconnect your system to the P2P account.

How Do I find my system’s IP address?

To find your system’s IP address go to Main Menu>Maintenance>System Info>Network. The IPv4 Address at the top is your local IP. If your IP address is 0.0.0.0 or 192.0.0.64, this means your system is offline. There are a few causes from this, but usually, it’s a bad ethernet cable or the cable is not plugged in properly to either the DVR or Router. If those are checked to be correct, try restarting your router by unplugging it for a minute and restarting the DVR.

Overview

The IMOU Ranger 2C IP camera does not support HomeKit but it DOES support ONVIF and RTSP, which is excellent. When using the IMOU app, the camera supports some basic motion detection and pan/tilt, but none of that functionality seem to be supported via ONVIF, which is strange because the IMOU LOOC cameras at least extend their motion detection abilities to ONVIF. I wonder why they dropped that with the Ranger?

Unboxing

The camera is accompanied by a USB power cable, wall adapter and some strange plastic part with two holes in it. I have no idea what it is for.

Setup

If you haven’t already done so, you need to install the IMOU Life app.

Annoyingly, you’ll have to create an account before you can set up your camera. Everyone expects that these days, but it’s a dumb requirement and something that Streamie absolutely avoids.

After you’re signed in, choose the option to scan a QR code.

On the bottom of the camera, if you have 20-20 vision, you’ll see the QR code and the recovery code which is the default password for the device. Point your phone at the QR code to continue.

And don’t forget to actually plug in your new camera.

While I always rag on cameras that require switching wifi networks to perform the initial setup, the IMOU setup process at least does all of the work for you.

Next up, give the app your wifi network name and password.

And then wait patiently. If you happen to block internet access for untrusted devices, you’ll have to disable that firewall rule now, while the camera “phones home” for what I’m certain are entirely legitimate and necessary reasons….

Next up, choose your region and a date format. I’d imagine the app could figure this out automatically, but whatever.

And then the app wants you to choose where you’re placing this camera, for reasons….

And then FINALLY, the camera is set up in the app.

And you can tap on it to stream it. Yay.

In the next section we’ll get this IMOU Ranger 2C camera set up in Streamie and to do that we need the password, which you can find in the app. Tap on the button to configure the newly added camera and then tap on this thing at the top.

Then tap on “Device Label”.

On this screen you can see your recovery code which is also the default device password that we’ll need to give to Streamie.

Also, if you go to Device Firmware Version screen, there’s probably a firmware update waiting for you, which can’t hurt to apply now, since you’ll probably never think to do it later.

RTSP and ONVIF functionality is enabled by default so we don’t need to do anything but have that recovery password handy.

2.How to set up your camera?

If you want to set up your camera, please follow the steps as below.
Please note: ensure the distance between the camera, mobile phone and the router is within 30cm during the configuration procedure.
1. Tap “+” to scan the QR code of the label and tap “Next”.
2. Connect the phone to the camera’s hotspot signal named that begins with “DAP”.
3. Tap the WiFi that you want to connect to.
4. Enter WiFi password and tap Next.
5. Wait for the connection.
6. Added successfully.

3.How to share your cameras with others？

1. Reach to Share Device on the home page.
2. Tap ‘+’ and input the email address you want to share the device with. Or you can share by QR code.
3. Special permissions for the shared user.

4.How to view history record?

3. You must plug in an external drive to save your downloaded file. Select the path where you want to save the file at. From this pop-up screen, you have an option to create new folder. After you select, click OK.

4. Select the Record Channel you like to search. You can only search 1 channel at a time.

5. Select the Recording Type you like to search.

6. Set the start and end time for searching. Then click Search. All recorded files that meets your search criteria will shown on the list.

This lesson will show you how to backup recorded video off of a DVR or NVR using a USB drive.

• FAT32 USB flash drive or FAT32 USB storage.

This allows you to back up videos on SmartPSS2.

1. From the home menu select “Playback”.

5. Select Date and time -> Select OK -> Select Search.

1. From the Home Page on SmartPSS select the “PlayBack Button”

2. From the PlayBack Page on the right hand side select“Camera or Channel” for the footage you need to backup. Multiple cameras or channels may be selected.

3 . Select “Record or Picture” for the content you would like to backup.

4. Select which one of the options “Type” (such as Motion Detection) you nedd to backup.

5. Select the stream “Main or Sub”.

6. Select and choose “Date and time” .

7. Select “Search”.

8. Select or Check which footage you need to export or download. Video footage can be viewed by clicking on the “Play” button and by selected events.

9. You may trim the video footage if the “Record tab” is selected. You will need to click the scissor or trim icon to trim the selected video.

10. On the “Event” tab you will need to select or check the events you want to save e.g (1, 2, 3, 4). Multiple videos may be selected to export.

11. Click on the disk icon to save and start the export.

12. Select “Path” You would like to save to . You can save it to a specific folder.

1. Two Way talk is done through the Live View of the device

From the main screen of the app

Select Live

2. Tap the + icon

3. Select the Device / Channel from the list

4. The device will connect and display Live View

Long press the microphone icon (for approximately 3 seconds)

The Voice Call window will appear

Tap to select which device in the list you wish to begin Two Way Talk with

The device will start to connect

5. Two Way talk has now started.

The microphone icon will remain highlighted while Two Way Talk is in use

6. Tap the icon again to end Two Way Talk

Bi-directional Talk (Two-Way Talk)

Description

Two-way audio enables you to receive and transmit audio through the IP camera.

Prerequisites

• IPC with audio capabilities

• External powered external mic.The IP Camera will not power the mic.

• Depending on some IPC models there might be a built in Mic. Please refer to Dahuasecurity.com for device specifications.

• If using an IPC capable of audio in and out, the NVR is an option. You can log directly into the IPC camera via Dahua WEB Service.

Device-end to PC-end

Device Connection

Please connect the speaker or the pickup to the first audio input port in the device rear panel. Then connect the earphone or the sound box to the audio output port in the PC. Login the Web and then enable the corresponding channel real-time monitor. Please refer to the following interface to enable bidirectional talk.

Listening Operation

At the device end, speak via the speaker or the pickup, and then you can get the audio from the earphone or sound box at the pc-end.

PC-end to the device-end

Device Connection

Connect the speaker or the pickup to the audio output port in the PC and then connect the earphone or the sound box to the first audio input port in the device rear panel. Login the Web and then enable the corresponding channel real-time monitor. Please refer to the above interface to enable bidirectional talk.

Listening Operation

At the PC-end, speak via the speaker or the pickup, and then you can get the audio from the earphone or sound box at the device-end. 

For IPC

1. Log into IPC via webservice.

2. From the Setup Tab Select Camera ➞ Select Audio.

3. Check off enable ➞ select encode mode ➞ select sampling frequency. Repeat process for sub stream if being used.

4. Choose audio in type ➞ enable or disable noise filter ➞ You can adjust the speaker volume and mic level ➞ Be sure to click on save to save changes made.

5.On live view you can click on the audio icon to hear the audio feed of the camera location.

6.Click on the Mic icon to talk.

This article is to show user how to add EVS to IVSS unit as an extended storage.

Prerequisites

• EVS Set Up as a Network Disk
• DSS Hardware or Software

Step by Step Instruction

EVS Set Up as a Network Disk

1. Login to the IVSS

Click Settings (gear icon)

2. Select Storage

3. Select Network Hard Disk

4. Click on iSCSI Management

5. Click +Add

6. Enter Server IP – which is the EVS IP address

Enter the username/password created at EVS for Share Account during the previous step – EVS Set Up as a Network Disk

Click Search directory

Once connected it will show the available storage

7. Check the box to Choose the Storage Pool for your recording

Click OK

8. Click on the iSCSI Application tab to format the HDD

Check the box to select the Disk

Click Format and confirm the prompt

Formatting can take some time depending on HDD Size

Once complete the State will display as Normal

How to add EVS to DSS

Description

This article is to show user how to add EVS to DSS unit as an extended storage. In this tutorial, we are using DSS Pro UI.

Prerequisites

• EVS with or without RAID setup.
• DSS Hardware or Software

Step by Step Instruction

1. Locate EVS System Manager from web browser.

2. Click on IPSAN and choose Storage Pool. Click Add to create new Storage Pool.

3. Enter the Pool Name and select your RAID Array or individual disk that are available. Then, click OK.

4. The system will prompt you that all data in the HDD will be formatted, click OK to continue.

5. Your Storage Pool is now created. Repeat step #2 if you have multiple RAID Array or disk for your EVS.

6. Go to Share Account menu and then click on Add.

7. Enter Username and Password you wish to create for your Storage allocation, then click OK.

8. Your Share Account is now created.

9. Go to Share Folder menu and then click on Add.

10. Enter the Directory Name, and then select your storage pool that created on step 2. Choose Share Type to ISCSI, and do not select any share user. Then, click OK.

11. Your share folder is now created. Repeat step #10 if you have multiple storage pool created for your EVS.

12. Your EVS is now ready to be added to DSS.

13. Login to DSS Web Manager, and go to Storage.

14. Go to Storage Config and click on Add.

15. Enter EVS IP Address and username and password that created under Share Account in EVS (Step #7). Click OK.

16. DSS will retrieve all existing storage pool that created in EVS. Click on the brush icon to to format and initialize the HDD in DSS. You will be asked whether you want to set this storage pool for video recording or ANPR Picture.

  If you have multiple storage pool, you must click format on each storage pool.

17. Once HDD is formatted, the storage pool status will show Normal, and this is ready to use.

This article will show you how to setup the Intrusion IVS feature on a supported device

Prerequisites

• Supported device with Intrusion feature

Step by Step Instructions

1. From the Main Menu click AI

2. Click Parameters > Smart Plan

3. Use the drop down box to select the Channel

4. Click the IVS icon to enable.

The icon will highlight when selected.

Click Apply

5. Click Parameters > IVS

6. Use the drop-down box to select the Channel

Then click Add in the lower right side of the screen to Add an IVS rule

8. The created rule will appear in the list

9. Use the dropdown box to change the Rule Type to “Intrusion”

10. Click the Pencil icon to draw the Intrusion rule

11. The Channel will fullscreen.

Left click anywhere inside the video frame to begin drawing the detection area for the Intrusion.

Right click to end drawing.

12. You can use the Intrusion menu that appears for additional rule settings:

• Name: A name can be applied to the rule
• Action
  • Appear
  • Cross
• Direction

Click  icon to set the Target Filter (maximum and minimum size size for Objects to follow rule)

Click  icon to clear the current rule

Once the Intrusion rule settings have been created click OK

13. Click the  icon to set the Trigger settings when the IVS Missing Object rule is engaged.

14. The Trigger menu will appear

Once the trigger rule settings have been created click Apply, then click Back to return to the previous menu

15. Once all Missing Object settings have been configured, Click Apply in the lower right of the screen to save all changes

16. The created Intrusion rule is now programmed
