<h1><span>Precondition: </span></h1>
<p dir="ltr"><span>1. ONVIF only works in the local network, i.e. the PC/smartphone and camera must be within the same network. </span></p>
<p dir="ltr"><span>2. The camera must be online, i.e. the setup via the HiKam app is already complete.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr"><span>3. Camera firmware must be higher than 13.0.0.61, go to HiKam App: My Camera -&gt; Setting -&gt; Update Device</span></p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong><span>From firmware 13.0.0.90 the camera also offers 720p HD via ONVIF interface. However, when HD is running over ONVIF, HD on HiKam App doesn&#8217;t work anymore (SD only).</span></strong></p>

<p dir="ltr"><span>To add camera, go to Add -&gt; Onvif Camera -&gt; select &#8220;RTSP&#8221; and &#8220;Scan Network&#8221; -&gt; select camera -&gt; OK. After that you can see the picture.</span></p>
<p><span>iSpy offers you multiple configuration options for Alarm, Pan/Tilt (pan and tilt), FTP, SMTP, Cloud&#8230;</span></p>

<p><span>Go to the &#8220;VLC Plugin&#8221; tab &gt; Download VLC. You will be taken to the page where you can download VLC. Select a suitable download pack here, as in the example &#8220;vlc-2.2.4-win64.zip&#8221;. Unzip the files into the directory as below by clicking on the link. You might have to create a folder yourself. Please make sure that libvlc.dll is located directly under the VLC64 folder. Close the &#8220;Video source&#8221; window. Go back to &#8220;Add&#8221; &gt; ONVIF Camera &gt; VLC Plugin. In the VLC URL, please enter rtsp://your_camera_ip:554/onvif1 and click OK. In the pop-up window click on &#8220;Exit&#8221;. Now you can see the video image from the camera.</span></p>

<p><span>       If no cameras are displayed, please check whether the camera and PC are in the same network and try again as under 1. </span></p>

<p><span>     Or add the cameras manually as described here below. However, this is only possible with the 2nd generation cameras, not with those of the 1st generation (S5, Q7, A7 1st generation).</span></p>
<p><span>3. Now you can see the camera in the camera list on the top left. </span></p>
<p><span>     Double click the camera, the first time the software will ask for the camera password. </span></p>

<p><span>1. After login, you will see the main window of HiKam PC software.</span></p>

<p><span>3. A new window will open, enter the camera ID (e.g. A000015), a camera name and the camera password.  </span></p>

<h1><span>2. Watch live video from the camera</span></h1>
<p><span>When the cameras have been added to the software, you can start the live video by double-clicking on the camera in the camera list at the top left.  </span></p>

<p><span>If the correct camera password has been stored in the software, it will display the live video. </span></p>
<p><span>Otherwise you will see the message that the password is incorrect and ask you to enter the correct password. </span></p>
<h1><span>3. Change settings like camera password, camera name</span></h1>
<p><span>Right-click the camera in the camera list, select &#8220;Settings&#8221;. </span></p>

<p><span>Please note that you must also enter the changed password in the HiKam app and the software on the other PC, otherwise you will see the error message &#8220;Incorrect password&#8221; here. </span></p>

<h1><span>8.1. Read and convert files on SD card in PC</span></h1>
<p><span>If you do not want or cannot download the files from the SD card in the camera, there is also the option to insert the SD card into the PC and save the files on the PC.</span></p>
<p><span>Since the files are in .avx format and cannot be played with standard players, it makes sense to convert them to .mp4.</span></p>
<p><span>To do this, you can use this tool: </span></p>

<p><span>You can easily uninstall the zip version by deleting the entire HiKamPC directory. </span></p>
<p><span>Please delete the installed version (.exe) by going to the Start button (Windows icon) &gt; Control Panel &gt; Software &gt; Change or Remove Programs &gt; Find HiKamPC &gt; Uninstall. </span></p>
