This article is to show how to disable audio function in Dahua IP camera that connected to Dahua NVR.

Disable audio on Dahua IPC that connected to Dahua NVR

This article is to show how to disable audio function in Dahua IP camera that connected to Dahua NVR.

Step by Step Instructions

1. Login to Dahua NVR Web GUI using Internet Explorer.

2. Click on Settings > Camera.

3. Click on Camera list (Some recorder will label it as Registration)

4. Find the camera channel you want audio to be disable, click on E Internet Explorer icon.

5. It will take you to the login page of Dahua IP Camera. Login with Camera credential.

6. Go to Settings > Camera > Audio. By default the Audio settings is enabled.

7. Click on the checkmark to uncheck on both main and substream.

8. Click Save.

No Audio from Live Feed

There are following possibilities:

1. Make sure your audio on the computer or television is enabled and working by playing music or watching a video with audio online. You should see this audio meter change when playing music or video on the computer/television.

2. Once you have confirmed your audio is working on your speaker, and if you still can’t hear from your Live Feed, check your connections. If you are using an external microphone that plugs into the camera, please make sure you are supplying power to since the camera does not. See picture below:

3. If your connections and power are in order but you still cannot get audio from your live feed, log into your IP Camera or NVR and change the following settings.

4. If you are accessing your audio feed from a computer also make sure you have the speaker symbol enabled to enable audio from the Live Feed.

There is Audio from Live Feed, No Audio During Playback

There are following possibilities:

1. Make Sure your camera with a microphone is working via live stream, please follow the NoAudio guide for details.

2. After ensuring you are receiving an audio feed, log onto your NVR and make sure your encoding setup is correct (Setup>Image>Encode>) and make sure your are on the right channel where the camera has a working microphone. Now make sure audio is enabled for either or both the Main Stream and Sub Stream (whichever you are recording on)

3. Also make sure your camera is scheduled to record during specified operation.

5. Now playback a recording of a camera that had picked up audio, you can also simulate this by making noise by the microphone and playing that segment back. Also make sure that the Volume button is not on mute and is turned all the way up during playback.

There is no HDMI output.

3. If HDD data ribbon error then replace ribbon.

4. If HDD malfunction then replace HDD.

5. If DVR hardware malfunctions then replace hardware.

Remote control does not work.

There are following possibilities:

1. If Remote control address is not correct then find the correct address.

2. If Distance is too far or control angle is too small then shorten the distance or fix control angle.

3. If Remote control battery power is low then replace battery power.

4. If Remote control is damaged or DVR front panel is damaged then replace remote control or DVR front panel.

System does not boot

1. If Input voltage is not stable or it is too low, then change the power supply and cable.

2. If HDD malfunction or something wrong with the ribbon, then replace the HDD or the ribbon.

3. Button power is not enough, then add more button power.

4. If Front video signal is not stable then check and adjust front video signal.

5. If Working environment is too harsh, too much dust then clean it.

6. If Hardware malfunction then replace hardware.

How to set the date and time

Time display is not correct.

1. Make sure the “Time Zone” is set correctly.

GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time.

2. Setup DST, if applicable.

3. “Sync PC” if all else fails.

4. Click, “OK” to save your changes.

Burn error /USB back error.

Explanation:

1. If Burner and NVR are in the same data cable, then separate them.

2. If System uses too much CPU resources. Then please stop record first and then begin backup.

3. If Data amount exceeds backup device capacity which may result in burner error. Then please delete data.

4. If Backup device is not compatible, please change backup device.

5. If Backup device is damaged, please change backup device.

2. Login user: admin, password: (default: NO password, please keep it blank)

3. Please enter “Add” to add device, you can add it “By IP/DDNS” or By Cloud ID”

4. By IP/DDNS:

IP/DDNS: (Enter NVR’s System Setup-Network Setup to find IP)

Port: (default: 80)

Username: Enter the NVR’s User Name (default: admin)

Password: Enter the NVR’s Password (default: NO password)

Device name: Choose a name for your system of your choice.

Type: choose “NVR”.

Number of Channels: please input the correct number of the channels.

Click “Finish” and go back to “Preview”, click the device name to view live video.

5. By Cloud ID:

Cloud ID: (Enter NVR’s System Setup-Network Setup to find IP)

Username: Enter the NVR’s User Name (default: admin)

Password: Enter the NVR’s Password (default: NO password)

Device name: Choose a name for your system of your choice.

Type: choose “NVR”.

Number of Channels: please input the correct number of the channels.

Click “Finish” and go back to “Preview”, click the device name to view live video.

Add the IP camera to the NVR by matching code

1.  When you use Match Code
1.1 Add new add-on cameras to your system
1.2 Re-pair camera to NVR when they lose connection. You need to delete the
Network Unreachable channel at first, then re-pair the camera to an unoccupied
channel. (unoccupied channel always shows No Video Source under Status.)

Tips: The IP cameras in pre-packed kits have already been paired to the NVR. So the
cameras will automatically connect to the NVR once they are plugged in power.

2.  Add camera by matching code.
2.1  Power on the camera which has no video, and connect this camera to the NVR
via Network cable.

2.2  Right click mouse on the main interface, select “Video Manage“

2.3  Click “Refresh“, find the camera’s IP. Click “Match Code“, then click “Yes“, the
NVR will start to match code to the camera.

2.4  After matching code successfully, the “status” will show “Connect success“.

Then you will see the camera is added to the NVR and display video on the screen.

What is the WiFi distance of the wireless kits?

.

Between each camera to the NVR:

In open space we tested 350m (1150ft) working distance;

With normal obstacles like 1-2 walls, we tested 35m (115ft) working distance.

For distance we only have theoretical values.

No certain distance can be guaranteed due to different environments applied in.

It varies depending on obstacles and signal interference.

on the contrast, if there are many blocks and signal interference between, the distance could be closer.

What if your NVR system keeps beeping?

1. Please right click your NVR mouse, then click System Setup – General Setup – Error setup, make sure that “Enable” and “Buzzer” are unchecked.

2. Please right click your NVR mouse, then click System setup – Channel setup –  Video detection, make sure that “Buzzer” is unchecked for all channels.

3. If you have checked above 2, and none of the buzzer are checked.

    Follow below to stop the beeping:

    a. Right click your NVR mouse, then click System setup – System Admin –  Factory setting, uncheck WiFi Reset, then click Apply to reset NVR settings.

    b. If you cannot view the cameras on the NVR after resetting, please right click your NVR mouse, then click Exit system, choose shutdown. Follow on-screen message to unplug NVR from power and then re-plug it back to NVR. Wait for NVR to initialize.

Then the cameras shall come back.

How to upgrade the NVR system

1. Please download the update file to your computer and unzip it, then plug the USB flash drive,and move the unzipped update file to the root directory of the USB flash drive. 

Note: 

1)Please move the update file to the root directory of the USB flash drive, do not move the subdirectory.

2)Do not change the file name.

2. Connect USB-disk/mouse and USB hub with NVR shown as flowing.

3. Enter the NVR’s menu (System setup\System Admin\System upgrade),
Click “Start” to begin upgrading.

Note: Please keep power supply well during the upgrade.

4. Once the upgrade is done, NVR will restart system automatically.

How to connect and set up the Wireless Network Camera System?

.

.

1. Connect the DC 12V/2A power adapter to the Power port of the NVR.

When Power indicator light is on, NVR starts to work.

2. Use VGA / HDMI cable to connect your NVR and Monitor / TV, then preview interface can be seen.

3. Plug the network cable and mouse to the ports of NVR rear panel.

4. Connect the DC 12V/1A power adapter to the IP camera (IPC).

Each camera has one 6ft length power adapter.

5. After finish connecting, the NVR will search the IPC automatically and start to initialize the connection.

When completed connection, the images will display.

6. Login this system:

Username :  admin

Password:  (there is no password, please keep it blank)

(Note: if you want to change the password, you can go to NVR’s System Setup – System Admin -User management – Set password to change it.)

7. Then you can follow up the below steps to set up on your phone:

If you want to view the cameras remotely, the NVR should be connected WAN network, Please ensure DHCP in your Router is open.

If you don’t know how to enable the Router’s DHCP, please input the IP Address of your  

Router to IE browser, then you will find the network information, you can enable the “DHCP”.

After that, please go to NVR’s System Setup – Network Setup to enable “DHCP”

Then the system will obtain the IP Address, DNS from your Router automatically.

Or you can go back main menu to select “Fast Network”, Then the system will connect the WAN network automatically.

8.   Access from smartphone

(1). Please download “Eseecloud” app from App store or Google play on your phone.

    (2). If install and open “Eseecloud” app at the first time, an account need to be registered initially.

NVR video backup.

1.Right click mouse > select Video backup.

2. Enter into the interface of Video backup.

   Select Channel, Record mode and Search time.

   Click “Search”. After that, the chosen video will display in the list.

3. Select the section which you want to backup.

   Then, click the bottom “Backup”.

4. Next, there will pop up a dialog box asking are you sure to backup this record.

   Click “Yes” if you are sure.

   Before start to backup, system will inform you to insert U disk within one minute. 

   If you want to cancel the operation of backup, you can click “Cancel” to withdraw.

   NOTE: The NVR only one USB port, so you have to unplug the mouse

and plug the U disk within one minute.

5. After you insert U disk, what you should do is just wait a moment.

6. Backup is completed when system inform you “Backup record succeed“.

   And you can unplug your USB disk at that time.

How to setup audio function?

1. System connection

(1) The monitor must have HDMI input port.

  (2) Connect the HDMI port on both sides with the included HDMI cable.

2. NVR setup

  (1) Choose the option “Private” on this interface during NVR’s restarting. It allows you select audio or not.

(2) Check whether the encode mode is “AV stream” or not.

(3) On the live window, click mouse to select any channel to pop-up the hidden volume icon like a speaker, click it repeatedly to hear or mute the sound from camera.

1.Register a new Gmail mail account, and log in.

2.Get into your mailbox>click the “” in top right of page>get into “My Account“.

3.     Click “Sign-in&security” and enter the interface,Turn on “Allow less secure APP on“.

4.  After that, you will receive an email from Google, which means “less secure sign in” has been turned on.

5. Get into NVR system. Right click mouse>select System setup>Network setup>Network Status.

   Check if your NVR’s network connected successfully.

   Before operate what mentioned above:

    Make sure Cloud(P2P) display “ONLINE“.

   Make sure the Network Status display “Healthy Network“.

6.Then, click the “E-Mail”. 

Input your Gmail SMTP Server (smtp.gmail.com) in ” SMTP Server” Input your Gmail account in “Username” and “Sender”.

Change the “Encryption Type” to “TLS”.

Input your Gmail password in “Password”

Input your two inbox address in “Sendee 1\2” 

After that, click “Apply”>click “Test”.

7.        When the system remind you “Test successful”, which means NVR’s mail alarm is set successfully.

8. PIR video detection setting as below picture:

    (1). Click “Channel setup” and “Video detection”

    (2). Choose Motion Detection, disable it

(3). Choose PIR Input Armed Detection, Enable E-mail Notice

9. After finished setting, When alarm is triggered, you will receive email from NVR.

1.      Disable motion detection function, click ok to save

2.      Choose Detection Model with PIR Input Armed.

Please noted: If you want to set Buzzer, Email notice or App alarm, you can enable them, in this way, you will get notification on email or App.

3.      Press “Reset” to clear default setting

5.      Press and drag the left button of the mouse to select needed schedule.

6.      Click ok to save

7.      Cancel the manual recording mode

8.      Once the PIR detection is trigged, the live window will display an icon like below, it means PIR recording is running

How to Reset NVR’s Password

Reset NVR’s Password

1. The interface when you log in. 

 2. Click “OK”. If you input incorrect password,

     monitor will display “Username/Password Is Incorrect!”.

 3. Continuously and successively click left button and right button in blank space of prompt box for six times.After that, monitor will display “Restore default user”.

4. Click “Yes”, and you will access to the interface where you can reset NVR’s password.

Tips:   1. The username must be “admin”, or else the password won’t be retrieved.

           2. If you want to make new password, please leave it blank in column of “Old password”.

           3. Delete the old password after reset the new one.

           4. If you have set a new password for NVR, remember that NVR password cannot exceed 10 characters, or the NVR will not save it correctly.

Solve the problem of the white light always on(Applicable to 3.6.60 and above Version)

Precautions:

1. Please check your IPC version first, only 3.6.60 and above version can be solved the problem through upgrade.

2. The camera must be able to produce the image, if the camera can’t be viewed or resetted, it can’t be upgraded.

Check IPC Version:

Go to “System Admin” – “IPC Maintenance” to check the version of the problem camera. Please note: Don’t upggrade the version 3.6.16 and below version with these upgard file.

Upgrade Method

1. Upgrade the IPC via NVR system

（1）Please download the update file to your computer and unzip it, then copy the update file(IPCAKV3C_xxxxx.rom) to a USB flash drive. Please note: Don’t change the file name

（2）Plug the USB flash drive to the NVR’s USB interface

Enter the NVR’s menu (System Setup-> Channel Setup-> IPC Upgrade)

（4）Click the “Channel” and select the upgarde channel of the IPC.

.

（5）Click “Start” and “Yes”, the IPC will be upgrading. Please note: During the upgrade, please don’t power off the NVR and the camera.

（6）If the camera upgraded successfully, the Status will show “Success!”.

.

2. Upgrade the IPC via TF card.

.

.

（1）Unzip the upgrade file, then copy the “help.rom” file to the TF card. Please don’t change the file name and move it to the root directory, do not move the subdirectory.

（2）Power off the camera, then insert the TF card to the TF card slot. Then power on the camera.

（3）Waiting for about 1 minutes, the camera will start up. Then press 3 times continuously of the reset button for the camera(In order to prevent operation errors, you can press several times, which will not affect the upgrade).

（4）About 2 seconds later, the camera will makes a sound for an upgrade. Then waiting for about 2-3 minutes, if the camera restart and works normally, it means that the upgrade is successful.

If the IP camera doesn’t work with NVR system,please check …

1. First of all,please confirm both of the camera and the NVR are powered on .

(1) Camera is powered on: Please plug the power adapter to the camera ,and then cover the IR-Cut with your hand (See picture), finally to check if the night vision will be activated or not .

(2) NVR is powered on : Please plug the adapter to the NVR ,and then see whether the power indicator is on.

2. Secondly please enter NVR system — Video Manage ,and check if the status of camera is connected successfully or disconnected.

3. Thirdly, if the camera is disconnected,please confirm the distance of the camera and NVR system. The far distance will affect the signal transmission.Please follow the below steps to fix the issue:

.

(1) . Please enter NVR system —  Video Manage — delete camera (The same page as the Step 2)

(2). Remove the camera and take it next to the NVR system,and prepare a network cable and start to match code for the camera and the NVR.

(3). How to Match code :

A. Connect this camera to the NVR via Network cable.

B. Right click mouse on the main interface, select “Video Manage“

C .Click “Refresh“, find the camera’s IP. Click “Match Code“, then click “Yes“, the NVR will start to match code to the camera.

D. After matching code successfully, the “status” will show “Connect success“.Then you will see the camera is added to the NVR and display video on the screen.

4. Finally, you could unplug network cable and put the camera to the place where you want .

How to change the channel

1.Please click “Video Manage”.

2.Make a note of the camera IP address you want to change.

3.Click “Manual Edit” and enter the IP address on the corresponding channel.

How to get the NVR system ONLINE?

.

1. Please make sure you enabled DHCP of your Router.

2. If you don’t know how to enable the Router’s DHCP,

    please input the IP Address of your Router to your computer browser,

    then you will find the network information, you can enable the “DHCP”.

3. After that, please plug a network cable to the WAN port on back of NVR.

4. If the system refuses to go ONLINE?

Basic troubleshooting:

  (1).  Check if your network cable can work well.

         If NVR is getting signal, there should be flash light. If not, please check the connection and cable.

  (2).  If the port is right and NVR is still OFFLINE, then it should be DHCP issue.

         Enable DHCP on your NVR.

        Click right button of mouse, go to NVR’s System Setup – Network Setup – check the DHCP and enable it,

        apply and save it. Wait for 1 minute to see if the status on bottom right corner changes to ONLINE.

5. Or you can go back main menu to select “Fast Network“, 

        Then the system will connect the WAN network automatically.

        Within 1 minute, you shall see NVR status changes to ONLINE and the NVR is ready to be viewed

        from anywhere anytime.

6. If this can’t help you, probably your Router disabled DHCP or block new devices from connecting.

    What DHCP does is: when Router find new device connected, DHCP allocate new IP to the device

                              and connect it to the Internet.

   An easiest way to know if your router enables DHCP:

   When you connect a new device to your WiFi for Internet service (or a visitor/ friend wanted WiFi

   connection), does it require WiFi password only? If only password required, then your router has

   DHCP enabled; if that requires not only password but also some settings, then your Router is secured

   from connecting new devices. Please ask people who secured the WiFi (who set password) to enable

   the NVR to connect.

The Step 4 and Step 5 should enable 95% users to get NVR ONLINE.

Even if the status shows OFFLINE after all this, we suggest you to use APP and access the Cloud ID

to see if it works.

Note:   Always wait for 1 minute after any change.

.

Advanced troubleshooting

If the basic steps above does not solve the issue. Follow below steps to do further troubleshooting.

1. Make sure the cable you connect to NVR has Internet access. 

Please use a laptop or any PC has RJ45 port

· Disable the wireless connection of laptop.

· Unplug the network cable from NVR and plug it into the PC, see if the PC can access the Internet via the cable.

· If it does, then the cable is good; if it does not, change a cable.

· If cable is good yet no Internet connection, please ask help from your network administrator

· to give the cable Internet access.

2. Enable DHCP of your router, please refer to Step 2.

.

If you don’t want to use DHCP, or you want to set up a static IP Address for your NVR system,

you can follow the below steps to set up:

   Well, we can allocate IP manually for the NVR and connect it to Internet. 

  1. Know your router gateway. 

  This is the IP that goes to the menu of your router. 

  This will vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer, and will be listed in the documentation.

  Here are some common IP addresses for various routers:

   Linksys, 3Com, Asus, Dell, US Robotics: 192.168.1.1

   Qwest (AKA CenturyLink), DLink, Netgear, Trendnet, Senao: 192.168.0.1

   Belkin, Microsoft, and SMC: 192.168.2.1

   Apple: 10.0.1.1

If you have misplaced your documentation, and you do not see your router listed here,

search on Google for your router name and “default IP address” to find the correct information.

Another way to locate your router’s IP address: on a PC, open the command prompt (click on Start >

Run/Search for cmd) and enter ipconfig. Look for the Default Gateway line, and try that number.

On a Macintosh, open the Network control panel (System Preferences…, Network) and look for Router: 

This is your router’s IP address.

2. Go to NVR’s System Setup Network Setup

How to switch wireless connection to wired connection

2. Checking the Network setup of NVR, remember the network segment of the IP address with NVR

3.Right click mouse, Enter into VIDEO MANAGE

4.Click Refresh, search the IP address of camera which connect to NVR

5.When you find the IP camera on NVR, please click Modify, revise the IP address of camera to the same network segment with NVR

Please noted: The IP address of camera can’t conflict with the IP address of other devices

6. After setting the IP camera, connect NVR and the IP camera to the same router by net cable, Refresh NVR, search for the IP camera, then add it to NVR, in this way, the IP camera will connect to NVR by wired

When 3MP IPC is added to NVR, it prompts “resolution too big”

How to upgrade the 8CH NVR to 10 Channel(Only for Version 3.1.8.0M)

1. Comfirm your system version if is the version 3.1.8.0M first. 

Note: This update file only supports NVR version(3.1.8.0M) to update to 10 channel, if your system version is not 3.1.8.0M, please don’t use this update file to upgrade your system, otherwise it will cause the system not work.

How to solve the problem of camera connect failed?

Please follow these steps to troubleshoot

Please check if the white antenna on the camera is loose first.

1)Cover the sensor under lens on the camera to see if the light is lit or not.

If it’s bright, it means camera is not bad.

If it’s not lit,You can connect the power of a good camera to the bad camera.

 

In the case of determining that camera is not broken.

2）right-click the mouse> video manage> Refresh / Search

3) if your camera with reset button, no LAN port, please take camera close to your NVR

1. delete the connect failed channel

2. press the reset button on camera for 10 seconds

3.Right click the mouse again > wireless add > wait the screen show a new camera IP address 172.20.14.**

4. if no IP address, pls reset camera for several times,

After adding the camera successfully, you can exit the add camera interface

4) if your camera with Lan port

Pls use an Ethernet cable connect the camera to your NVR.

Delete the connect failed Channel>Refresh(Search) find IP address 192.168.**.**>Match Code(wait for IP address change to 172.20.14.**)

After that you can unplug the Ethernet cable.

HDD not fund / Not record anything

 Please refer to these below to solve the HDD not fund issue.

1）Check the power adapter connected to the NVR box. The NVR box uses 12V 2A or 12V 3A power supply. If you connect the 12V 1A cameras’ power supply to the NVR, the NVR box will not provide enough power to drive the hard drive.

2) If hard drive is preinstalled, there are 4 screws at the bottom of NVR box.

3）Check Hard Drive Information on NVR box and Format it

Right click the mouse>system setup>General setup>HDD setup>select the hard disk>Click Format, if the progress bar always shows a few percent or the formatting is failed, please contact with us.

 

 

4) Please open the NVR with a screwdriver, check the two cables connecting the hard drive and see if they are loose.

 

5）Take the hard disk out and install it on your computer. Check if the computer can recognize the hard disk. This is to confrim the HDD is the problem or not.

How to solve Gateway Unreachable or Network Error

If you click “fast network” to appear: Gateway Unreachable or Network Error , pls fellow below steps:

Step 1:

1) you must check if the network line is faulty or not: check whether the switch and router line connection are correct.

2) Can you connect to the external network normally through the computer wired connection?

Notice: Do not directly connect the recorder to the fiber

 

Step 2: Right click mouse and choose Fast Network —-> Auto config ,check if the network will be healthy or not

 

Step 3: If the auto config still can’t make it work , pls kindly check the same network computer network setting

Then “manual configuration” set the recorder network settings, don’t choose DHCP, input the same IP address and gateway and submask same as your computer

Offline

1)Pls Connect NVR to your router with an Ethernet cable. After that right click the mouse > Fast network.

 

2)If Step 1 doesn’t work, Maybe the Ethernet cable is damaged. Please replace it with a new one

3)If there is no problem with the cable.

Pls right click the mouse> system setup >Network setup>Do not choose DHCP>Change DNS to 114.114.114.114 or 8.8.8.8 > Power off the NVR and power on again(Reboot the NVR)

4)You can also connect the NVR to your home WiFi,

Enter the wireless internet interface > Select your home WiFi and enter your password > Apply

Change the display channel of the camera

When you select the corresponding channel, you can click the two buttons on the left, and then move the channel

You can also drag the image directly to another channel

How to set up Motion Detection？

1)Enable Motion Detectin on NVR Monitor

Pls right click the mouse>system setup>Channel Setup>Video detection>Selecting the Channel for Motion Detection>Choose the form of alarm>After you set it up you can Click “Copy to” to set to all channel

 

2) Set the area of motion detection to be set within the field of view of the camera.

 

3)App Alarm

a)Select App Alarm on NVR

b)Click three dot> Alarm push

 

c)Click System authority settings, turn on all permission of the app.

 

How can I view the camera remotely?

There are four methods to view the camera system remotely. Please refer to these step below.

 

1) First you need to connect the NVR with your router by wired or WiFi

Wired connection

1. wired connection, connect the NVR with router by ethernet cable

2. right click your NVR mouse choose fast network, then click auto config, check cloud ID status is online and network is healthy, then you can remotely check the system on your phone app

3. if not online and healthy network, please click manual configure, and check your router detail,

make sure the NVR and your router is the same IP gateway, IP address the first 3 number should be the same, the last one can’t be the same ,. preferred DNS please change to 8.8.8.8 and apply it

WiFi connection

1. please notes our NVR only can work with 2.4Ghz wifi network,

2. right click your NVR mouse choose system setup–network setup–wireless internet –enable wireless LAN, then find your house wifi name, input password, apply it

（please note the wifi name can not included any special character ,such as “_”, otherwise it will show connected failed.）

3. check the status is connect failed or success, if it is failed, please click view details,

check the same wifi network details on your phone and your NVR, then change them to the same IP gateway, IP address the first 3 number should be the same, the last one can’t be the same ,. preferred DNS please change to 8.8.8.8 and apply it

there are 2 ways to upgrade

1) online upgrade, connect the NVR with router by LAN cable , right click your NVR mouse and choose system setup–system admin–system upgrade–online upgrade

2) offline upgrade, you need copy the firmware to the USB disk and choose local upgrade the firmware you cane email Johnny@hiseeu.com to get it

3) after you upgrade successfully, pls right click your NVR mouse and choose system setup–general setup–error setup–disable alarm icon.

Connect the camera to WiFi, then add it to NVR

You can connect the camera to your home wif and then add it to NVR.

First you need to press the reset button for 6s on the camera to reset the camera,

２）First, you need to connect NVR to your router,

Then search the NVR for the camera connected to WiFi

1） Click the mouse to select the screen –> click the 3rd icon (color adjust)

3）Then change the output resolution of NVR.(Right click the mouse>system setup>General setup>Screen setup>Output resolution)

Set an appropriate resolution and switch back to the original HDMI Cable.

4）If the display is still not displayed, you can choose another resolution.

if your NVR box version is 3.03.0 pls change the step 2 as below：

2) Then change the output resolution of NVR.(Right click the mouse>system setup>General setup>Display Resolution)

If camera often loses signal with NVR？

You can use the following four methods to solve the problem of poor camera signal

Please check if the white antenna on the camera is loose first.

1)First, you can change the wireless channel of the camera system to ‘other’, and the antenna of NVR is better to stand up

Right click > system setup > Network setup > change Wireless channel to “other” > Apply

Then restart the NVR, unplug the power supply of the NVR and plug it in again

2）You can replace the white antenna on the camera with the black extension antenna in the package, so that the black extension antenna passes through the wall.

 

Place the camera next to the NVR to ensure that there is a good signal between the camera and the NVR.

3）You can set a camera as a WiFi repeater to enhance the signal between the camera and the NVR.

4）You can also buy a WIFI repeater, which also enhances the signal between the camera and the NVR.

How to use the wifi repeater to enhance signal

 

When the repeater is powered on, its indicator lights up.

Press the reset key for 10 seconds and it will deletes all previous matching records

How to use it on NVR.

1)Connect the repeater to NVR by Ethernet cable

2)click “Search” and then there will disappare a device which IP address is “192.xx.xx.xx”

Click it, it will pop up a new window

click Match button to let the status become “wireless has been matched”

 

At this point, you can unplug the Ethernet cable.

How to add an extra camera?

when you receive the new camera , there is no match between the nvr box and the new camera. You need to pair them.

4)if no IP address, pls reset camera for several times, then you can exit,

How to solve “Resolution too big”?

Our system upgraded , the “Resolution too big” camera is 3MP, old system can’t work with 3MP camera

1. right click your NVR mouse choose system admin–system version to check NVR version is 2.8 version or 3.0 version

2. if it is 3.0 version, you can upgrade it to latest firmware then it can support 3MP cameras (3.0.6.0 version and above version)

how to upgrade to NVR?

1) Online upgrade : go to system admin-system upgrade-then click online upgrade, wait for it upgrade successfully, then camera will show image

2) Offline upgrade, please email Johnny@hiseeu.com with your system version page , then she can provide firmware to you

3. if it is 2.8 version,the only way can fix is to upgrade camera firmware

right click your NVR mouse–system setup–system admin–IPC maintance, then take a screenshot of camera version, email : johnny@hiseeu.com for resolution too big problem.

4. after you get the firmware, please copy to your USB DISK root, format should be FAT32,go to IPC maintance page–click the correct channel–click start–remove mouse –insert USB disk–wait for camera upgrade successfully

5. go to system setup–channel setup–encode setup–find correct channel–change resolution from 2304*1296 to 1920*1080.

How to Change the Display Position of Channel

There are 2 ways to changed the position of camera

 

1)Generally speaking, we will choose four channels to display at the same time on the screen

 

For convenience, let’s first choose to have all channels displayed on the screen.

right click your mouse — Split Screen — X8 View

 

Now we want to let the Channel 7 to the Channel 2 position

left click the mouse on the channel 7 screen and dont loose

then move to the channel 2 position ,loose the mouse left key

 

that is OK

2)Please wrote down the IP address of the camera (which you want to exchange it channel,such as channel 5). Then deleted the channel which you want that camera to place(such as channel 2), did a manual edit on channel 2 ,Enable it and change or add the IP address of channel 5 wrote down. Camera immediately came up on channel 2.

App wrong Password

1)If you doesn’t change the User Name and the Password on NVR box.

The User name is ‘admin’, no password (you needn’t input anything)

 

 

 

2)For change the password on NVR box.

Right click the mouse>system setup> system admin>User>set password

 

3)User name and password should not exceed 8 characters and should not contain such as &*! @ (… #% and other special characters (you can setup password: jasmi985/ jasmi996/ jasmi856 or others. )

If you can login NVR with a password, but can’t login on App, please confirm that the password within 8 characters

Note：App login username and password are different from the camera login username and password. They are two different sets of username and password system.

How to set up Email notification?

a. Enable POP/IMAP in your email. If default setting of your E-mail enables that, please skip this step.

Login your email via browsers; go to Settings – Forwarding and POP/IMAP-Enable POP and IMAP – Save Changes.

 

We also need to Allow 2-Step Verification for your Gmail account, login www.google.com

 

• Open your Google Account.
• Select Security.
• Under “Signing in to Google,” select 2-Step Verification and then Get started.
• Follow the on-screen steps.
• Normally after you set 2-step verification, you will create a new password on NVR password page you need input this password

b. Go to your system main menu. System setting- Channel setting- Video Detection. Enable E-mail Notification and click Copy to apply the same setting to other channels.

 

b. Go to your system main menu. System setting- Network setting- Email setting. You will see the interface shown below.

 

c. Follow the instruction below to input the information required to finish the setting.

 

Email Notificaion: Check “Enable”

SMPT Provider: Click the one you use in the selection. Or click USER CUSTOMIZE to use the E-mail server that is not in the selection.

Sender : Type in your sender email address

Password: the password of login your sender emial address

SMTP service: when you choose the correct SMTP provider, it will suggest correct service to you

Port: The default port is 25. If it doesn’t work, you can go to the link below to get the port of the e-mail you use.

Encryption Type: Select the one that your E-mail server works. If there is no selection, please choose None.

Sendee 1: the email you want to receive email alerts

d. Then click Test see if you can receive a test e-mail alerts from Esee. If yes, that means the setting has set successfully. Then, please click Apply to save the setting.

e. Latest APP allow to set email notification on the cellphone directly

Go to cellphoen app Eseecloud, click me–settings–mail to receive alert messages–enable it, then put your gmail address, to get verfication code, after you input verfication code click confirm, then you will get the email notification, thanks

 

 

 

 

 

How to setup Record Plan?

You can set up three modes of record plan

Note：After you have set up the record plan, you need to click “copy to” to apply the record plan to all channels.

1) Time Recording:

Setup period of time of recording on NVR,Right Click the mouse>System Setup>Record Setup>Record Plan.

Click Time and put mouse icon on the upper left corner(for example 1 as picture shows).press and drag the mouse to the right to choose the time.the list will turn to red.

2) Motion Recording:

Only detect motion and then start recording. Right click mouse>System Setup>Record Setup>Record Plan.

Click Motion and putr mouse icon on the upper left corner, press and drag the mouse to the right to choose the time. The list will turn to green.

3) Alarm Recording:

Riht click the mouse>System setup>Record Setup>Record Plan.

Click Alarm and put mouse icon on the upper left corner,Press and drag the mouse to the choose the time,The list will turn to yellow.

Note: Users can Setup any period of time they want, for example 0:00:00-23:59:59, That’s 24hrs*7days recording. When NVR detects hard disk, the default setting will be 24hrs*7days recording.

The priority of Alarm is higher than that of Motion, and the priority of Motion is higher than that of Time.

When you have set the corresponding record mode, you can click “select all”, and the time area below will become the corresponding color

Video Playback

Right clik the mouse>Video Playback>Choose date、Channel、record mode>Click Search>then can view playback file

Note：You can only watch four Channels recording at the same time.

There are 2 ways to make backup

1) use USB disk to backup

1. right click your mouse, and choose video backup.

2. choose the channel/date/time playback you need backup,

(If you copy too much backup, we suggest you copy it one by one channel to save copy time)

3.Backup, the let your mouse out and within 30 seconds put the USB to get the backup

1. Connect the recorder to the same LAN as the computer ：connect to the router

How to solve Most of Network Status Problem?

Please right click NVR mouse choose Fast Network check Network Status

• Healthy network: Network connect successfully
• Gateway Unreachable: means NVR IP Gateway and IP address not in the same gateway as your router, Click Manual Config, then find your router correct IP gateway, such as 192.168.1.1, then IP address should be 192.168.1.***, last numbercan’t be the same as your router, change it on NVR. If you connect with wifi network, you need go to System Setup—Network Setup—Wireless Internet page click View Details and click Manually to change those information.
• Request DNS Error: disable DHCP, change the Preferred DNS to 8.8.8.8, reboot the NVR and router.
• Network Cable Disconnect: make sure the NVR connect with router by Ethernet cable
• Network Card Not Found: on Network Setup page find PPPoE disable it.
• Network Busy: disable DHCP, change the Preferred DNS to 8.8.8.8, reboot the NVR and router.

Type 1 system stuck in the upgrade interface

Please disconnect the Ethernet cable to the router, and default the system.

After rebooting the system and it works well, you need to set a new password and don’t use the default one.

Type 2 system stuck in the booting logo

Here are some methods for troubleshooting:
a). Please unplug the Ethernet cable from the system, then restart the system without Ethernet cable to have a try.
b). If still not working, Please remove the hard drive from the system, then power on the system separately to have a try.
c). If still not working, please use another power supply (with the same voltage) for the system to have a try. While the system comes back, kindly please change the password for your system, it seems the hack attract your device, please make the password a little complex. don’t easy as empty

Part 2

there is no signal on the monitor

1. Do you notice if the system gets power? if it gets power, the LED in front of the DVR will be lit up.
2. Did you hear a beep when the system powers on? It is very important.
3. Are you using the HDMI port on DVR to connect DVR to a monitor or TV? if yes, could you please try VGA port on DVR?
4. Make sure your TV is in the right mode, HDMI mode for HDMI cable, VGA mode for VGA cable, not any other mode. You can monitor the remote control to switch it.
5. Please remove the hard drive from the system, then power on the system separately to have a try.
6. Can you kindly change another power supply to have a try? you can use the cameras instead.

How to Initial Set up for Reolink Go/Go PT via Reolink APP

Note: Before you start, please click or scan the QR code to download and install the latest version of Reolink App, power on your camera and place it near your router.

Step 1. Install a SIM card to the SIM card slot.

Step 2. Make sure the camera is power on. For GO PT, turn on the power switch.

Step 3. Wait for about 30 seconds until the status light becomes solid blue and hear “network connection succeed”.

If you couldn’t hear this voice prompt, please refer to the instruction to reset GO/ reset GO PT

Step 4. Tap on the icon  in the top right corner to start the initial setup.

Step 5. Scan the QR code on the back of the camera. If the phone doesn’t respond, please tap Enter and then manually type in the UID (16-digits characters under the QR code of the camera).

Step 6.  Enter the Device initialization page and create camera name and password.

How to Initially Set up PoE NVR with Monitor Connected (New UI)

You may follow this guide for proper cabling and initial setup of your PoE NVR with a monitor connected.

Here is a diagram that will help you learn each option on the PoE NVR.

Now, please refer to the following steps to set up your NVR.

Step 1. Connect the NVR to a Monitor or TV via the VGA or HDMI cable.

Step 2. Connect the camera’s RJ45 network socket to any POE Camera port on the NVR using the Ethernet cables provided.

Step 3. Connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN port of the NVR to LAN port of your router.

Step 4. Connect the mouse to the USB port.

Step 5. Connect the Power Adapter. Please use the supplied power adapter. For POE NVR device, it is 48 volts.

Step 7. Follow the Setup Wizard to set your NVR, click Next to continue and at the last step, click Finish to save all the settings.

Part 1 – Preparation

• Check that the recorder and Wi-Fi camera are Fusion-enabled (i.e., compatible). Verify your recorder and camera’s model number then check here to see if they are compatible.
• Connect your recorder to the router using an Ethernet cable.
• Connect your recorder to the monitor using an HDMI cable.
• If you have not done so yet, set up your recorder now via Setup Wizard.

  When you create a secure password for the recorder write down the password as you will need it shortly. Note: This is the device password for your recorder, it is not your Lorex account password.

• Connect your Wi-Fi camera to the Lorex Home app. Refer to the product documentation, as needed.
  

  To connect your Wi-Fi camera to the Lorex Home app:

  1. Launch the Lorex Home app.
  2. Tap the  icon on the Devices screen.
  3. Scan the QR code on the camera using your mobile device’s camera. Note: If your mobile device cannot scan the QR code, tap Manually enter Device ID.
  4. Create a secure password for the device then write down the password as you will need it shortly. Note: The device password is for your camera, it is not your Lorex account password.
  5. Follow the in-app instructions to successfully add your Wi-Fi camera to the Lorex Home app.
• (Optional) Connect your recorder to the Lorex Home app. Refer to the article Fusion Collection – How to add the recorder to the Lorex Home app, for more information.

Part 2 – Connect your Wi-Fi camera to the recorder

1. Go to Main Menu > Camera Menu > Registration.
2. Enter the recorder’s device password.
3. In the Camera Registration settings, click Device Search. 
4. Now, the camera(s) that you have previously added to the Lorex Home app should be detected and appear right away in the Device Search section.
5. 
6. Check the checkbox that corresponds to each device. 
7. Click Add.
8. 
9. Now, the device should appear in the Added Device section. 
10. In the Added Device list, click on the pencil icon under Edit to enter the device password. 
11. Click on the Password field, then enter the device password for your camera. 

WARNING: The camera will lock itself if you enter the wrong password. If this happens, please power cycle the camera and go back to Step 1.

8. Click Connect, then click OK. Your camera’s Live View should appear right away. 

Congratulations! You have successfully fused your Wi-Fi camera with your recorder. You can now access your Wi-Fi camera on both the recorder and the Lorex Home app.

Recommendations

• Remember to update the recorder to the latest firmware. Check out this FAQ on how to upgrade your recorder to the latest firmware version.
• In the Lorex Home app the camera will appear twice–once as an individual camera and again as a camera connected to the recorder. We recommend that you disable notifications for the individual camera so that you do not receive duplicate notifications from the same camera.

To disable notifications:

1. Launch the Lorex Home app.
2. At the Devices screen, go to the device settings for the camera by tapping the  icon on the top-right.

   

3. Tap Notifications, and then tap the icon to disable notifications.

How to add the recorder to the Lorex Home app

As part of the Fusion Collection, you can now add your compatible recorder to the Lorex Home app.

This article applies to the following recorders: N841, N842, N843 and N861.

Prerequisites

For this procedure, you must connect a monitor to your recorder using an HDMI cable and a mouse to one of the USB ports on your recorder.

Step 1. Log in to your recorder.

Step 2. Right-click on the mouse, then click Info to reveal the QR Code of your recorder.

Step 3. Now grab your smartphone and launch the Lorex Home app and tap + to open your smartphone’s camera.

Step 4. Using your smartphone’s camera, scan the QR Code of your recorder.

Step 5. Follow the on-screen instructions on adding the recorder to the Lorex Home app.

Part 1 – Call our Technical Support

Step 1. Locate and retrieve your recorder’s Device ID. In most cases, the Device ID is printed on a label on the top or side panel of the recorder along with the QR Code (see image below) NOTE: The Device ID is NOT the Serial Number.

TIP: There are three ways of retrieving your recorder’s Device ID or QR Code:

1. As mentioned above, you can locate the Device ID on a label on the top or side panel of the recorder.
2. You can also see Device ID by going to your recorder’s app (i.e., go to Settings > Device Info).
3. Finally, using a monitor and a mouse, you can retrieve the Device ID by accessing the Info Page of your recorder (i.e., right-click on mouse, then click Info (see image below).

Step 2. Once you have the Device ID at hand, call our Technical Support at 1-888-425-6739 and ask for a temporary password so you can access your recorder and reset the password.

Part 2 – Log in to your recorder using the temporary password

NOTE: For this procedure, you must (1) connect a monitor to your recorder using an HDMI cable, and (2) connect a mouse to one of the USB ports of your recorder.

Step 1. Right-click on the mouse, then click Main Menu.

Step 2. Now, log in to your recorder to open the Main Menu (see image below). You will need to provide the following credentials:

• Username: admin (default)
• Password: Use the temporary password provided to you by the Technical Support

Click OK to proceed.

Step 3. On the Main Menu, click Settings (see arrow on the image below) > System > Account > User.

Step 4. In the User Settings, click Modify.

Step 5. Then, configure the following settings:

• User: admin (default)
• Modify Password: Check the box
• Old Password: Enter the temporary password provided to you by the Technical Support
• New Password: Enter your new password
• Confirm Password: Re-enter your new password

At the bottom of the screen, click OK to save your changes.

NOTE: Now, make sure to keep your new password in a safe place for future use.

Congratulations! You have successfully reset your password.

Method 1. Reset the Password by Pressing the Reset Button

Step 1. Reboot your device and make sure you can see the live-view on the monitor screen.

Note: Please stay on live view page through the whole process. Please make sure the nvr system on live view page instead of the logging page while pressing the button
Press the usb mouse and make sure all icons hidden and nvr in live view on the monitor.

Step 2. Remove the outer casing of the NVR using the screwdriver.

Step 3. Press the Reset button for 10 seconds until you hear the buzzing “bee”.

Step 4. After the Setup Wizard pops out, create a new password and follow the Setup Wizard to complete the setup.

Method 2. Reset the Password via Super Password

If method 1 doesn’t work, you may Use Super Password to Reset the Admin Password on Reolink NVR.

Use Super Password to Reset the Admin Password on Reolink NVR

Applies to: All Reolink NVRs.

If you forget the password of Reolink NVR, you may create a super password via Super Password application, then use it to reset your NVR password and set a new password.

Here we will guide you to reset the password of your PoE NVR by using the super password in the following steps.

Note: To get the Super Password application package, you can download it from the link below: https://s3.amazonaws.com/reolink-storage/website/download/SuperPassword.exe. If you fail to download it, you can contact support.

Step 1: Connect the NVR to a monitor by HDMI cable. (If there is no display, please connect it to a VGA monitor and change the pixel to 1920*1080.)

Step 2: Login in the NVR and click Forgot Password button.

Then you will get this page:

Step 3: Open Super Password application installed on the computer, then input the random code.

Step 4: Click Create Super Password to create a super password.

Step 5: Go back to the System Login interface on the monitor of NVR. Input the generated super password, then click the OK button.

Note: When you finished the steps above, the password of your NVR will be successfully reset and the old password will be removed.

Step 6: Create a new password for logging in.

Step 7: Start to set up configurations on the Setup Wizard interface.

Step 8: Click Finish button when you set up all the configurations.

Done! You have successfully reset the password of your NVR. Now you can make login with the new password.

Note: You will need direct access to the NVR to reset the password. Please connect an HDMI or VGA monitor to the back of the device and use a USB mouse to navigate the interface. The NVR will also need to be connected to the internet via an Ethernet cable (even if temporary) to complete the password reset process.

Typically, an unlock pattern is the default means of accessing your NVR. If you have forgotten or need to reset the unlock pattern for your device click on the Forgot Unlock Pattern button.

Next, on the system login screen, click on the Forgot Password icon () to access the Reset Password menu.

The password reset interface will be displayed. Enter the email address associated with your system, this will be the email you initially entered in the system upon setup. Click Next to continue.

Scan the QR code on the screen. You can use a number of QR code scanning apps, however, in this example, we will be using QR Code Reader.

To proceed, scan the QR Code, in the app you will notice a special string for text.

Copy and paste this information into an Email and Email it to support_gpwd@htmicrochip.com 

Note: Please do not send any additional information or provide a subject line in the email. Just send the QR code URL to support_gpwd@htmicrochip.com

A confirmation email will be sent to you with a security code. The confirmation email will be delivered within a 24 hour period of sending the email.

Open the email and locate the generated security code that was sent to you. This will be the security code you will need to type into the NVR to reset your password.

Note: The security code that was provided will only be valid for 24 HOURS. If you do not use the code within 24 hours a new one will have to be generated to complete the password reset process.

Next, enter the provided security code from your email into the Security code field in the Reset Password menu then press Next to continue.

Type in the new password for your device in the New Password field and type it again into the Confirm Password field. Please note, it is recommended to use a password that has between 8 to 32 characters using a combination of letters and numbers. Please do not use special characters such as, ( ‘ ” ; : &). When you have entered a strong enough password, click on the Save button to save the new password to your device.

Your new password is now applied to your device, click Save to apply the changes. 

To sync this password to other remotely connected devices via the default protocol, click on Save. If you do not want to apply the new password to any remotely connected device, click on Cancel.

The information will begin to sync to remote devices. Click Save.

Enter in the new password and click Save.

You will now be able to access the NVR with the new password.
