This is a user guide for CMSClient version V1.00.00.47, it’s applied to software version is equal or newer than V1.00.00.47. If you are running older version (e.g. V1.00.00.46, V1.00.00.45), please download and upgrade your existing one to the latest. It should be noted that Yoosee has no app be compatible with Windows smartphone. If you have a smartphone running Windows OS, obviously you can not use Yoosee camera. The Yoosee software team will not release App for Windows based smartphone.

What CMSClient does?

CMSClient provides users a centralized video surveillance solution. It allows users to manage multiple cameras simultaneously, users can preview, record, playback, even receive alarm alerts by using it.  Users also can change yoosee camera’s network settings (such as IP address, gateway, DNS), can shift recording video resolution from SD to HD, can modify camera’s password.

Installation of CMSClient software

The software doesn’t contain any virus, if your anti-virus software report virus warning, please check if you have downloaded the software from official website. The software requires permission to access your network/Internet, it uses RTSP stream protocol to communicate with cameras locally, and P2P protocol to communicate with Internet cameras. When installing the software, ensuring it allows to pass Windows firewall.  The software will keep communicating with remote servers intending to establish P2P connection, it doesn’t spy your video, doesn’t transmit/upload any video clips to remote servers.

Logon CMSClient Software

CMSClient software now allows users to login through three different types of account.

• Admin login: local login, don’t require users to register an account. No need to input password, click “OK” to login immediately. The software can automatically discover local cameras, but can not discover Internet cameras.
• Phone Number login: remote login with your registered yoosee account, after logon, the software will list added cameras in your account.
• Mail/user ID login: remote login with your registered yoosee account, after logon, the software will list added cameras belongs to your account.

Moreover, select either “Phone number login” or “Mail/user ID login”, the software can receive motion detection (or sensor triggered) alert to computer. When motion detection alarm occurs, the software will pop-up a new window automatically to alert users, it also can play selectable audible automatically to remind users.

How to add Yoosee Cameras?

After logon, CMSClient will automatically discover local connected cameras, click “Add all” to add them into your software. Please note the displayed p2p password and rtsp password default is “qwe123”, it’s an incorrect password, just ignore them.

Except adding automatically, users can click “+” icon on the left bottom to manually add cameras. In “Device manager” window, local connected cameras will be listed on the left column, click “>>” button can add to software which will appear in right column. Click “Manual add device”, you can add local connected cameras via entering device ID, device password, RTSP password. Click”Add shared device” to add cameras as a guest user. How to use CMSClient software?

Once you added devices to software, you’re able to use each functions of it. Select device you want to manage, right click mouse will pop-up a menu list.

• Device property: change camera name, device password, rtsp password and group.
• Delete node: delete camera from this list/software.
• Start monitoring: start to preview real-time video (if it shows you a crying face, it means password is incorrect)
• Smooth/standard definition/high definition: before click start monitoring, you should choose default image resolution, smooth equals low resolution, standard definition equals VGA (640×480), HD equals 1280×720 or 1920×1080.
• IPC config: you’re able to tweak camera’s network settings (e.g. IP address, DNS), record video resolution (SD, or HD), password.  It only works on the premise that your camera’s password is correct. If you encounter “network timeout” “permission error” “password incorrect” error, to solve this, you need to logon software with yoosee registered account.

CMSClient Playback Function

You’re able to playback recorded video clips right from your computer. The CMSClient can only allows users to play remotely and locally recorded video clips, but also can allow you convert them to friendly .mp4 files which can be recognized and played by regular media players.

Click “Search” button on the left top, the camera can search files, click the file name to playback. Additionally, you can click folder icon to open a file to play it. All yoosee camera will record video with .av file extension. These raw files can not be recognized or played by regular media players, you can use the converter which the software has included to convert .av files to .mp4 files.

CMSClient software is a powerful video surveillance management tool, it includes other function to provide a great flexibility. Click gear icon on the top of software, it will pop-up a “CMS config” window.

• File save path: select the folder path to store recorded video footage.
• Reserve space: allowing users to modify reserved space for video storage in your HDD.
• Record time for package: the time length to patch a video file when recording video. If the value is “60” min, the software will patch/generate a video file in every hour when software is recording on computer.
• Cycle record: turn on/off over-write function, automatically erase/overwrite HDD when space is full.
• Auto start record when monitoring: record video while watch video stream.
• Connect all of device automatically: automatically display video for all cameras/channels after logon software.
• Render mode: Directdraw, GDI
• Monitor: auto, rtsp, p2p
• Message notification: choose whether receiving message notification or not when there is a motion detection alarm.

If you logon software with registered yoosee account, the software will have “Alarm trigger” option. This open allows you to select time length of pop-up video when alarm occurs. You’re able to choose different audio files, the computer will play the audio to remind users.

XVRView DVR Quick Setup Guide

4 Record video:
If you system don’t come with hard drive, you have to install a SATA
3.5 inch internal hard drive to record. This system works with most
3.5”SATA Hard Disk or 3.5 internal hard disk.

1. Install a Hard Disk (if your system has preinstalled Hard Disk,
please skip this step)
Unplug your DVR from power, unscrew and remove the top cover.
Connect the SATA power and data cables from the DVR to the
corresponding ports on your Hard Disk (as shown).

Place the Hard Disk into the DVR. Any cable should cross up over the
Hard Disk.
Holding the Hard Disk and the DVR, gently turn it over and line up the
holes on the Hard Disk with the holes on the
DVR. Using a screwdriver, screw the provided screws into the holes.
Assemble the cover.
Note: after you install a hard drive, please format the hard drive, right
click the mouse>main menu>record>HDD manage> format Disk

5 Playback video
Got into the DVR main menu>playback

Record querying conditions include: file storing place, record
time,record channel, record type (regular, alarm, manual). After
chose the querying condition, click search button , If files exist, you
can see the corresponding color displaying in the time column, Click file
list button , you can see the files one by one displaying.
Double click the files you want to playback in the file list or click in the
time column to playback.

Sync Mode: Enable sync mode, multiple channels playback at the same
time.
Zoom in: Click left mouse to drag out an area, and then move mouse into
the area, after that click to enlarge, double click left mouse to exit
amplified state.
6 Motion detection Recording:
Get into the DVR main menu>sensor>motion detection

Select the channel you want to setup motion detect recording and tick
enable
Setup the sensitivity to minimize the false alarm
Region: you can select the motion detection area
Setup the the time duration
Setup motion detect linkage, tick send email, it will email alarm you
when motion triggered.

Why do I get an offline message and a blank screen for the (B463AJ) 2K battery doorbell’s channel on the Fusion recorder?

Being a battery-operated doorbell, it will always go to sleep after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life. Once the doorbell is correctly paired to your Fusion recorder, the offline message means the doorbell has gone to sleep but is still connected and can be awakened. When motion is detected, or when the call button is pressed, there will be live video from that channel. You can also manually wake up the doorbell through the Lorex app, by activating the liveview.

Can my Battery Video Doorbell record continuously?

To conserve battery life, Wi-Fi Battery Video Doorbells only record when motion is detected. They do not record continuously.

What is continuous recording?

Once your Lorex Fusion Wi-Fi camera connects to your Fusion recorder, your camera’s recording settings are automatically set to continuous. This means that your Fusion Wi-Fi camera will record 24/7 or for the entire duration of the recording schedule onto your Fusion recorder’s hard drive. It is worth noting that recordings on the camera are limited due to the size of its onboard storage, while recordings on the recorder are extensive (3TB to 10TB). Continuous recording captures everything in the background, and you can playback to catch anything you missed.

Do all Lorex Fusion Wi-Fi cameras record continuously?

Lorex Fusion: Troubleshooting

The following article provides some troubleshooting tips for setting up your Lorex Fusion Collection.

My Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory is not appearing in the device list.

My Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory is not connecting to my Fusion recorder.

• Give your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory a few minutes to establish a connection.

• Check to see if your Fusion recorder has the most up-to-date firmware. New Local UI: Login to your recorder and navigate to System > Update & Reset > Upgrade, then click Check for Updates.  Previous Local UI: Login to your recorder and navigate to Main Menu > Information > Update/Reset > Update, then click Check for Updates. For instructions on updating your recorder’s firmware through USB, see the article How to manually upgrade the firmware of your recorder.

• Ensure that your Fusion Wi-Fi cameras and accessories and your Fusion recorder are powered on.

• The same password created for your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory in the Lorex App must be entered in your Fusion recorder. If you have forgotten the password, then reset your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory and connect it to the app again.

• (Applies to the previous local UI only) If your password for your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory is entered incorrectly in your Fusion recorder, then your Wi-Fi device will lock itself. Reset your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory and connect it to the app again.

• Ensure that you are entering the password for your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory created in the Lorex App, and not the Lorex App account password. Those are two separate passwords.

• Ensure that your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory is connected to a dual-band router (2.4 GHz/5 GHz bands).

• Ensure that you are connecting the Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory to an available Fusion Wi-Fi channel, and not a Wi-Fi channel that already has a Wi-Fi device connected to it.

If you don’t know the password for your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory, then you will need to reset the device and connect it to the Lorex App again.

Connect your Fusion Wi-Fi cameras and accessories to the Lorex App

Turn off duplicate notifications

After completing the Fusion setup, your Wi-Fi camera or accessory is connected to the Lorex App twice – once as a single device and then a second time as a device connected to your recorder. To avoid receiving duplicate notifications from the same camera or accessory, you will need to Turn off Alerts for your Wi-Fi device connected to your recorder.

To turn off duplicate notifications:

Adjust the recording settings for your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory

After Fusion setup, your Lorex Fusion Wi-Fi camera’s recording settings will automatically adjust to Continuous, recording 24/7 directly to your recorder’s hard disk drive.

To adjust the recording settings (new local UI):

To adjust the recording settings using the previous local UI, navigate to Main Menu > CAMERA > Recording > Recording and follow the same steps as above.

Set the recording schedule for your Fusion Wi-Fi camera or accessory

You can set a custom recording schedule according to your needs. For example, you can set the system to record continuously during business hours and record on motion detection only outside of business hours.

• Click-and-drag on each day to customize the recording schedule. The schedule is set up as a grid, with each block representing two hours.

• Click  beside 2 or more days to link schedules (). This allows you to quickly change multiple schedules at once.

• To make fine adjustments to a schedule, click . This will allow you to set exact start and end times for a schedule.

• To disable all recording of the selected type on the selected day, click .

To set the recording schedule using the previous local UI, navigate to Main Menu > STORAGE > Schedule and follow the same steps as above.

Link sensors to cameras

Once you’ve completed the Fusion setup, you can link motion and door/window sensors to any compatible camera, so that when the sensors are triggered the linked automatically cameras record.

Getting Started: Enabling the VIVOCloud service in your device

Before starting using your VIVOCloud application, you must enable the VIVOCloud service in your devices. This guide will teach you how to enable the service in easy to follow steps:

Step 1. Log in to your NVR device using its username and password.

Step 2. Click on the gear icon to access the NVR configurations.

Step 3. In the Settings interface, select the System tab and click on “VIVOCloud service”.

Step 4. In the VIVOCloud service interface, you will see a “blue” button (old interface) or a “gray” button (new interface). Clicking this button will enable the VIVOCloud service on your NVR.

After clicking it, the NVR will start connecting to the VIVOCloud server and register the service (this might take 1-2 minutes depending on your internet connection). Once the connection is established and the device is registered in the cloud system, a QR code and Device ID will be displayed below.

Note: If you are using the local console, follow the same steps, as both the Local and Web interfaces are the same in this regard.

Now the device service is enabled and you should be able to add it to your VIVOCloud application.

Getting Started: Adding your NVR to the VIVOCloud application using the QR code/device ID

In order to add your VIVOCloud compatible device, you need to use a QR code or Device ID. This document will explain where to find this information:

Enabling the Service:

Before being able to add your device using its QR code or Device ID, you need to ensure that the VIVOCloud service is enabled. First, log in to your NVR device using its username and password.

Once you have accessed the device, click on the gear icon to access the NVR configurations.

In the Settings interface, select the System tab and click on “VIVOCloud service”.

In the VIVOCloud service interface, you will see a “blue” button (old interface) or a “gray” button (new interface). Clicking this button will enable the VIVOCloud service on your NVR.

After clicking it, the NVR will start connecting to the VIVOCloud server and register the service (this might take 1-2 minutes depending on your internet connection). In the VIVOCloud application, go to the configuration menu and select “Add devices” to add your NVR. Then, click on the “Add devices manually” section. Here, you will be allowed to choose between using a QR code or the device ID.

Using the Device ID

Type the Pcode/Device ID found on the NVR VIVOCloud service webpage and click on the “+” button to add the NVR to the VIVOCloud application.

Using the QR Code

Click on the QR button to scan the QR code on the webpage using your phone camera (make sure to allow the application access to the camera).

Once finished, you will be able to see your NVR cameras in the VIVOCloud application.

VIVOCloud devices are not limited to just NVRs; cameras that support remote connection using VIVOCloud are also available. The principle of using a QR code/Device ID is the same as with the NVR. For clarity, follow these steps to obtain the QR code/PCode of the camera and add it to the VIVOCloud application:

Step 1. Access the camera web interface using its IP.

Step 2. Go to the camera configuration by clicking on the “Configuration” tab.

Step 3. Click “Applications” > “Package management” > “VIVOCloud” and click the link of the VIVOCloud VADP page.

Step 4. Click the “Connect” button to generate a unique QR code/Device ID which will be used to add the device into the VIVOCloud application.

For security purposes, the QR code and Device ID will only be available for 5 minutes so please be sure to have your phone at hand to fastly add the device into the application.

Devices configured in your VIVOCloud account can be shared to other users (e.g family members, coworkers, etc.). To share devices please follow the next steps:

Step 1. Login into your VIVOCloud phone application.

Step 2. Click on the option icon to access the application account configuration menu.

Step 3. Once the menu has appeared, click on the “Share devices” button to start the sharing process.

Step 4. In the “Share devices” interface, click on the “SHARE YOUR DEVICES” button to start registering the email of the user you want to share the devices with.  

Step 5.  Type the email address (user with VIVOCloud account) which will be accessing your device and click the “NEXT” button to continue.

Step 6. All of your configured devices will be listed. Select the devices to share by checking them, click “Done” when finished. 

Once the device is ready to share you will see a green arrow notification.

Step 7. Click on the “Share” button to share the device to the configured email account. 

Important note: You can only share the same device with up to 4 accounts.

The VIVOCloud application can show push notifications in the phone which will allow you to easily see alarm and device status (disconnection). 

You can also see all the notifications that have been sent to the application from the NVR/Camera in the notification menu, but there is a limit on how many alarms can be stored. The application can store a maximum of 100 notifications, if the application receives a new notification when this number is exceed, the old alarms will be deleted and replaced with the new ones.

The VIVOCloud Service uses below ports:

If your network firewall or router only allows connections to specific ports, please ensure that the ports listed above are not blocked from inside to outside; otherwise, this could cause issues when the NVR/Camera tries to connect to the VIVOCloud server. Below is a list of possible situations you might encounter if the ports are not properly opened.

Situation 1. Cannot enable the VIVOCloud service in the NVR

If port 1194 is not opened, the VIVOCloud service on the NVR will display an yellow ‘!’ icon.

Situation 2. Portal connection issues with NVR

If the port 3478 is not opened, VIVOCloud portal will show the device as “Connecting”.

Situation 3. Slow video connection

If the other ports are not opened, you may not see an image on VIVOCloud, or the image may load slowly.

Ensuring that the necessary ports are not blocked by your network’s firewall or router is crucial for establishing a successful connection between your NVR/Camera and the VIVOCloud server. By following the guidelines above and verifying that these specific ports are accessible, you can facilitate a smooth and efficient operation of your VIVOCloud devices.

VIVOCloud service allows you to remotely access your NVR/Camera videos remotely using the browser or application without the need opening ports or performing extra configurations. If you encounter any issues while using this service please be sure to check the following:

1. Check that you are using a compatible browser:

If you are trying to access the VIVOCloud webportal (service.vivocloud.com), be sure to use the Firefox browser. 

The VIVOCloud portal is only supported by this browser, if you use other browser you wont be able to access your NVR videos. You can find more information about browser compatibility in the VIVOCloud official webpage: https://www.vivotek.com/vivocloud#portal

2. Check that the VIVOCloud service is enabled

Before using the VIVOCloud service you need to enable it, in order to do so please go to your ND device configuration, under System > VIVOCloud service and be sure that the service is enabled. There should be a green mark next to the blue button, if you don’t see this mark you might need to click on the button to enable the service.

3. Check that the ND device was only added to one account:

Each ND device can only be registered to one VIVOCloud account, if you already added to another account and try it to add it into a new account you will find the following error:

If you want to delete the NVR from any other accounts because you want to add it to a new account you just need to disable the service in the configuration page and re-enable it, this will automatically remove the device from the original account. Please note that if the device was previously shared to another account it will also be removed. 

4. Network and configuration check

The VIVOCloud service server is very strict with its data management so you need to be sure that everything is properly configured otherwise you might not be able to enable the function on the ND. Before enable the service please be sure to verify the following: 

a) Time zone needs to match your access point time zone: 

b) ND IP must be properly configured and the device internal network access point needs to have access to WAN.

c) Be sure that your NVR is up to date and is using the latest firmware available

If you don’t know how to upgrade the device, feel free to check this documentation: 

d) Be sure that the service main ports are accessible, if the main ports used for server communication are being blocked you wont be able to add the device to your VIVOCloud account. Here is a document that explains in detail which ports are used by the service.

Add the IP camera to the NVR by matching code

1.  When you use Match Code
1.1 Add new add-on cameras to your system
1.2 Re-pair camera to NVR when they lose connection. You need to delete the
Network Unreachable channel at first, then re-pair the camera to an unoccupied
channel. (unoccupied channel always shows No Video Source under Status.)

Tips: The IP cameras in pre-packed kits have already been paired to the NVR. So the
cameras will automatically connect to the NVR once they are plugged in power.

2.  Add camera by matching code.
2.1  Power on the camera which has no video, and connect this camera to the NVR
via Network cable.

2.2  Right click mouse on the main interface, select “Video Manage“

2.3  Click “Refresh“, find the camera’s IP. Click “Match Code“, then click “Yes“, the
NVR will start to match code to the camera.

2.4  After matching code successfully, the “status” will show “Connect success“.

Then you will see the camera is added to the NVR and display video on the screen.

What is the WiFi distance of the wireless kits?

.

Between each camera to the NVR:

In open space we tested 350m (1150ft) working distance;

With normal obstacles like 1-2 walls, we tested 35m (115ft) working distance.

For distance we only have theoretical values.

No certain distance can be guaranteed due to different environments applied in.

It varies depending on obstacles and signal interference.

on the contrast, if there are many blocks and signal interference between, the distance could be closer.

What if your NVR system keeps beeping?

1. Please right click your NVR mouse, then click System Setup – General Setup – Error setup, make sure that “Enable” and “Buzzer” are unchecked.

2. Please right click your NVR mouse, then click System setup – Channel setup –  Video detection, make sure that “Buzzer” is unchecked for all channels.

3. If you have checked above 2, and none of the buzzer are checked.

    Follow below to stop the beeping:

    a. Right click your NVR mouse, then click System setup – System Admin –  Factory setting, uncheck WiFi Reset, then click Apply to reset NVR settings.

    b. If you cannot view the cameras on the NVR after resetting, please right click your NVR mouse, then click Exit system, choose shutdown. Follow on-screen message to unplug NVR from power and then re-plug it back to NVR. Wait for NVR to initialize.

Then the cameras shall come back.

How to upgrade the NVR system

1. Please download the update file to your computer and unzip it, then plug the USB flash drive,and move the unzipped update file to the root directory of the USB flash drive.

How to connect and set up the Wireless Network Camera System?

1. Connect the DC 12V/2A power adapter to the Power port of the NVR.

When Power indicator light is on, NVR starts to work.

2. Use VGA / HDMI cable to connect your NVR and Monitor / TV, then preview interface can be seen.

3. Plug the network cable and mouse to the ports of NVR rear panel.

4. Connect the DC 12V/1A power adapter to the IP camera (IPC).

Each camera has one 6ft length power adapter.

5. After finish connecting, the NVR will search the IPC automatically and start to initialize the connection.

When completed connection, the images will display.

6. Login this system:

Username :  admin

Password:  (there is no password, please keep it blank)

(Note: if you want to change the password, you can go to NVR’s System Setup – System Admin -User management – Set password to change it.)

7. Then you can follow up the below steps to set up on your phone:

If you want to view the cameras remotely, the NVR should be connected WAN network, Please ensure DHCP in your Router is open.

If you don’t know how to enable the Router’s DHCP, please input the IP Address of your  

Router to IE browser, then you will find the network information, you can enable the “DHCP”.

After that, please go to NVR’s System Setup – Network Setup to enable “DHCP”

Then the system will obtain the IP Address, DNS from your Router automatically.

Or you can go back main menu to select “Fast Network”, Then the system will connect the WAN network automatically.

8.   Access from smartphone

(1). Please download “Eseecloud” app from App store or Google play on your phone.

    (2). If install and open “Eseecloud” app at the first time, an account need to be registered initially.

(3) Add the device.

NVR video backup.

1.Right click mouse > select Video backup.

.

2. Enter into the interface of Video backup.

   Select Channel, Record mode and Search time.

   Click “Search”. After that, the chosen video will display in the list.

3. Select the section which you want to backup.

   Then, click the bottom “Backup”.

4. Next, there will pop up a dialog box asking are you sure to backup this record.

   Click “Yes” if you are sure.

   Before start to backup, system will inform you to insert U disk within one minute. 

   If you want to cancel the operation of backup, you can click “Cancel” to withdraw.

   NOTE: The NVR only one USB port, so you have to unplug the mouse

and plug the U disk within one minute.

5. After you insert U disk, what you should do is just wait a moment.

6. Backup is completed when system inform you “Backup record succeed“.

   And you can unplug your USB disk at that time.

How to setup audio function?

1. System connection

(1) The monitor must have HDMI input port.

  (2) Connect the HDMI port on both sides with the included HDMI cable.

2. NVR setup

  (1) Choose the option “Private” on this interface during NVR’s restarting. It allows you select audio or not.

(2) Check whether the encode mode is “AV stream” or not.

(3) On the live window, click mouse to select any channel to pop-up the hidden volume icon like a speaker, click it repeatedly to hear or mute the sound from camera.

1.Register a new Gmail mail account, and log in.

2.Get into your mailbox>click the “” in top right of page>get into “My Account“.

3.     Click “Sign-in&security” and enter the interface,Turn on “Allow less secure APP on“.

4.  After that, you will receive an email from Google, which means “less secure sign in” has been turned on.

5. Get into NVR system. Right click mouse>select System setup>Network setup>Network Status.

   Check if your NVR’s network connected successfully.

   Before operate what mentioned above:

    Make sure Cloud(P2P) display “ONLINE“.

   Make sure the Network Status display “Healthy Network“.

6.Then, click the “E-Mail”. 

Input your Gmail SMTP Server (smtp.gmail.com) in ” SMTP Server” Input your Gmail account in “Username” and “Sender”.

Change the “Encryption Type” to “TLS”.

Input your Gmail password in “Password”

Input your two inbox address in “Sendee 1\2” 

After that, click “Apply”>click “Test”.

7.        When the system remind you “Test successful”, which means NVR’s mail alarm is set successfully.

8. PIR video detection setting as below picture:

    (1). Click “Channel setup” and “Video detection”

    (2). Choose Motion Detection, disable it

(3). Choose PIR Input Armed Detection, Enable E-mail Notice

9. After finished setting, When alarm is triggered, you will receive email from NVR.

1.      Disable motion detection function, click ok to save

2.      Choose Detection Model with PIR Input Armed.

Please noted: If you want to set Buzzer, Email notice or App alarm, you can enable them, in this way, you will get notification on email or App.

3.      Press “Reset” to clear default setting

4.      Click the icon “Alarm”

5.      Press and drag the left button of the mouse to select needed schedule.

6.      Click ok to save

7.      Cancel the manual recording mode

8.      Once the PIR detection is trigged, the live window will display an icon like below, it means PIR recording is running

How to Reset NVR’s Password

Reset NVR’s Password

1. The interface when you log in. 

 2. Click “OK”. If you input incorrect password,

     monitor will display “Username/Password Is Incorrect!”.

 3. Continuously and successively click left button and right button in blank space of prompt box for six times.After that, monitor will display “Restore default user”.

4. Click “Yes”, and you will access to the interface where you can reset NVR’s password.

Tips:   1. The username must be “admin”, or else the password won’t be retrieved.

           2. If you want to make new password, please leave it blank in column of “Old password”.

           3. Delete the old password after reset the new one.

           4. If you have set a new password for NVR, remember that NVR password cannot exceed 10 characters, or the NVR will not save it correctly.

Solve the problem of the white light always on(Applicable to 3.6.60 and above Version)

Precautions:

1. Please check your IPC version first, only 3.6.60 and above version can be solved the problem through upgrade.

2. The camera must be able to produce the image, if the camera can’t be viewed or resetted, it can’t be upgraded.

Check IPC Version:

Go to “System Admin” – “IPC Maintenance” to check the version of the problem camera. Please note: Don’t upggrade the version 3.6.16 and below version with these upgard file.

Upgrade Method

1. Upgrade the IPC via NVR system

（1）Please download the update file to your computer and unzip it, then copy the update file(IPCAKV3C_xxxxx.rom) to a USB flash drive. Please note: Don’t change the file name

（2）Plug the USB flash drive to the NVR’s USB interface

Enter the NVR’s menu (System Setup-> Channel Setup-> IPC Upgrade)

（4）Click the “Channel” and select the upgarde channel of the IPC.

.

（5）Click “Start” and “Yes”, the IPC will be upgrading. Please note: During the upgrade, please don’t power off the NVR and the camera.

.

（6）If the camera upgraded successfully, the Status will show “Success!”.

.

.

2. Upgrade the IPC via TF card.

.

.

（1）Unzip the upgrade file, then copy the “help.rom” file to the TF card. Please don’t change the file name and move it to the root directory, do not move the subdirectory.

（2）Power off the camera, then insert the TF card to the TF card slot. Then power on the camera.

（3）Waiting for about 1 minutes, the camera will start up. Then press 3 times continuously of the reset button for the camera(In order to prevent operation errors, you can press several times, which will not affect the upgrade).

（4）About 2 seconds later, the camera will makes a sound for an upgrade. Then waiting for about 2-3 minutes, if the camera restart and works normally, it means that the upgrade is successful.

If the IP camera doesn’t work with NVR system,please check …

1. First of all,please confirm both of the camera and the NVR are powered on .

(1) Camera is powered on: Please plug the power adapter to the camera ,and then cover the IR-Cut with your hand (See picture), finally to check if the night vision will be activated or not .

(2) NVR is powered on : Please plug the adapter to the NVR ,and then see whether the power indicator is on.

2. Secondly please enter NVR system — Video Manage ,and check if the status of camera is connected successfully or disconnected.

3. Thirdly, if the camera is disconnected,please confirm the distance of the camera and NVR system. The far distance will affect the signal transmission.Please follow the below steps to fix the issue:

.

(1) . Please enter NVR system —  Video Manage — delete camera (The same page as the Step 2)

(2). Remove the camera and take it next to the NVR system,and prepare a network cable and start to match code for the camera and the NVR.

(3). How to Match code :

A. Connect this camera to the NVR via Network cable.

B. Right click mouse on the main interface, select “Video Manage“

C .Click “Refresh“, find the camera’s IP. Click “Match Code“, then click “Yes“, the NVR will start to match code to the camera.

D. After matching code successfully, the “status” will show “Connect success“.Then you will see the camera is added to the NVR and display video on the screen.

.

4. Finally, you could unplug network cable and put the camera to the place where you want .

How to change the channel

1.Please click “Video Manage”.

2.Make a note of the camera IP address you want to change.

.

3.Click “Manual Edit” and enter the IP address on the corresponding channel.

How to get the NVR system ONLINE?

.

1. Please make sure you enabled DHCP of your Router.

2. If you don’t know how to enable the Router’s DHCP,

    please input the IP Address of your Router to your computer browser,

    then you will find the network information, you can enable the “DHCP”.

3. After that, please plug a network cable to the WAN port on back of NVR.

4. If the system refuses to go ONLINE?

Basic troubleshooting:

  (1).  Check if your network cable can work well.

         If NVR is getting signal, there should be flash light. If not, please check the connection and cable.

  (2).  If the port is right and NVR is still OFFLINE, then it should be DHCP issue.

         Enable DHCP on your NVR.

        Click right button of mouse, go to NVR’s System Setup – Network Setup – check the DHCP and enable it,

        apply and save it. Wait for 1 minute to see if the status on bottom right corner changes to ONLINE.

5. Or you can go back main menu to select “Fast Network“, 

        Then the system will connect the WAN network automatically.

        Within 1 minute, you shall see NVR status changes to ONLINE and the NVR is ready to be viewed

        from anywhere anytime.

6. If this can’t help you, probably your Router disabled DHCP or block new devices from connecting.

    What DHCP does is: when Router find new device connected, DHCP allocate new IP to the device

                              and connect it to the Internet.

   An easiest way to know if your router enables DHCP:

   When you connect a new device to your WiFi for Internet service (or a visitor/ friend wanted WiFi

   connection), does it require WiFi password only? If only password required, then your router has

   DHCP enabled; if that requires not only password but also some settings, then your Router is secured

   from connecting new devices. Please ask people who secured the WiFi (who set password) to enable

   the NVR to connect.

The Step 4 and Step 5 should enable 95% users to get NVR ONLINE.

Even if the status shows OFFLINE after all this, we suggest you to use APP and access the Cloud ID

to see if it works.

Note:   Always wait for 1 minute after any change.

Advanced troubleshooting

If the basic steps above does not solve the issue. Follow below steps to do further troubleshooting.

1. Make sure the cable you connect to NVR has Internet access. 

Please use a laptop or any PC has RJ45 port

· Disable the wireless connection of laptop.

· Unplug the network cable from NVR and plug it into the PC, see if the PC can access the Internet via the cable.

· If it does, then the cable is good; if it does not, change a cable.

· If cable is good yet no Internet connection, please ask help from your network administrator

· to give the cable Internet access.

2. Enable DHCP of your router, please refer to Step 2.

.

If you don’t want to use DHCP, or you want to set up a static IP Address for your NVR system,

you can follow the below steps to set up:

   Well, we can allocate IP manually for the NVR and connect it to Internet. 

  1. Know your router gateway. 

  This is the IP that goes to the menu of your router. 

  This will vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer, and will be listed in the documentation.

  Here are some common IP addresses for various routers:

   Linksys, 3Com, Asus, Dell, US Robotics: 192.168.1.1

   Qwest (AKA CenturyLink), DLink, Netgear, Trendnet, Senao: 192.168.0.1

   Belkin, Microsoft, and SMC: 192.168.2.1

   Apple: 10.0.1.1

If you have misplaced your documentation, and you do not see your router listed here,

search on Google for your router name and “default IP address” to find the correct information.

Another way to locate your router’s IP address: on a PC, open the command prompt (click on Start >

Run/Search for cmd) and enter ipconfig. Look for the Default Gateway line, and try that number.

On a Macintosh, open the Network control panel (System Preferences…, Network) and look for Router: 

This is your router’s IP address.

2. Go to NVR’s System Setup Network Setup

5.When you find the IP camera on NVR, please click Modify, revise the IP address of camera to the same network segment with NVR

Double click the IP address, the camera will connect to NVR automatically

6. After setting the IP camera, connect NVR and the IP camera to the same router by net cable, Refresh NVR, search for the IP camera, then add it to NVR, in this way, the IP camera will connect to NVR by wired

When 3MP IPC is added to NVR, it prompts “resolution too big”

When adding a 3MP camera to the NVR, if the “resolution is too large” prompt appears.Please modify the NVR resolution, the detailed operation is as follows:

1.Please click “Video Manage”.

2.Select the camera that appears “Resolution too big”, and then click “Channel Setup”.

3.In “Channel Setup-Encode setup”, modify the resolution to 1920*1080, and then click “Apply” to save the settings.

4.Disconnect the power of the camera and restart it, after adding the camera, the camera can be used normally.

How to upgrade the 8CH NVR to 10 Channel(Only for Version 3.1.8.0M)

1. Comfirm your system version if is the version 3.1.8.0M first. 

Note: This update file only supports NVR version(3.1.8.0M) to update to 10 channel, if your system version is not 3.1.8.0M, please don’t use this update file to upgrade your system, otherwise it will cause the system not work.

Go to “System Admin” – “System Version” to check.

2. Download the upgrade file to your computer. Click here to download

3. Unzip the upgrade file via rar or zip, then plug the USB flash drive, and move the unzipped update file to the root directory of the USB flash drive. 
Note: 
1)Please move the update file to the root directory of the USB flash drive, do not move the subdirectory.
2)Do not change the file name.

4. Connect USB-disk to the NVR.

5. Enter the NVR’s menu (System setup\System Admin\System upgrade), Click “Start” to begin upgrading.
Note: Please keep power supply well during the upgrade.

6. Once the upgrade is done, NVR will restart system automatically.
