<p style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 5pt; padding-top: 0; margin-bottom: 5pt; padding-bottom: 0; line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 11pt;">IP conflicts occur when two devices on the same network are assigned the same IP address. This can lead to connectivity issues, and it&#8217;s essential to resolve such conflicts to ensure smooth network operation. If you suspect your camera&#8217;s IP address might be used by another device, here&#8217;s how you can check and resolve it.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 5pt; padding-top: 0; margin-bottom: 5pt; padding-bottom: 0; line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;"><strong><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 11pt;">1.</span></strong><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 11pt;"> Disconnect the camera from the network.</span></p>

Then, open the Windows Command Prompt (cmd.exe).</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 5pt; padding-top: 0; margin-bottom: 5pt; padding-bottom: 0; line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;"><strong><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 11pt;">3. </span></strong><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 11pt;">Execute the ping command followed by the camera&#8217;s IP address:</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 0pt; padding-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0pt; padding-bottom: 0; line-height: 1.2; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 12pt;">ping &lt;Camera IP&gt;</span></p>

<div class="ul" style="margin: 0;">
<div class="li" style="margin: 0;">
<div style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 5pt; padding-top: 0; margin-bottom: 5pt; padding-bottom: 0; line-height: 1.2; margin-left: 15pt;"><span style="display: inline-block; position: relative; text-indent: -18pt; color: #333333; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="position: absolute; top: -0.34em; left: 0; font-size: 2em;">•</span> </span><a href="https://vivotek.zendesk.com/hc/en-001/articles/12552362623641" target="_blank" rel="dofollow noopener"><span style="text-decoration: underline; color: #1892f7; font-size: 11pt;">[All cameras] How to use the ping command in the Windows command prompt to verify if the camera is still ONLINE</span></a></div>

<div class="li" style="margin: 0;">

<p style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 5pt; padding-top: 0; margin-bottom: 5pt; padding-bottom: 0; line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 11pt;">Unfortunately, the ping command has its limitations and wont be able to verify if the ports of the pinged IP are open (ping commands are sent using random ports). In order to check the port connectivity you can use the &#8220;Test-NetConnection&#8221; command in power shell which can test connectivity to a specific IP and port. To do so please follow the next steps:</span></p>
<p style="margin-top: 5pt; padding-top: 0; margin-bottom: 5pt; padding-bottom: 0; line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;"><strong><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 11pt;">Step 1.</span></strong><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 11pt;"> Open the Windows PowerShell, you can do it by typing &#8220;PoweSheel&#8221; in the start menu search:</span></p>
<p style="margin-top: 5pt; padding-top: 0; margin-bottom: 5pt; padding-bottom: 0; line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 11pt;"><a href="https://www.nvripc.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/17268374202777.png" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><img decoding="async" width="756" height="696" class="wp-image-8166 size-full" src="https://www.nvripc.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/17268374202777.png" srcset="https://www.nvripc.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/17268374202777.png 756w, https://www.nvripc.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/17268374202777-400x368.png 400w, https://www.nvripc.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/17268374202777-650x598.png 650w, https://www.nvripc.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/17268374202777-250x230.png 250w, https://www.nvripc.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/17268374202777-150x138.png 150w" sizes="(max-width: 756px) 100vw, 756px" /></a></span></p>

<p><strong>Step 10</strong>: The camera will now save your Wi-Fi settings, and then bind to your mydlink account. This process can take up to 3 minutes.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Note: If you receive an error during the <em>Setup Wi-Fi</em> process, make sure you are entering the Wi-Fi password correctly. Remember it is case-sensitive. Also make sure the camera is within range of your wireless router, and that the router has DHCP enabled and does not have any filtering which may block the camera from connecting.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>If you receive an error during the <em>Binding </em>process, this usually means the camera cannot connect to the mydlink servers. It is best to reboot your router, close the mydlink app, and reset the camera (hold a paperclip in the reset hole for 10 seconds and release. The LED on the back should turn red). Once your router has rebooted, open the mydlink app and set it the camera again. If you continue to get errors, please contact D-Link support at 1-877-453-5465. Support is free and available 24/7.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Step 11</strong>: Once the camera setup is finished, the following message will appear. If you want to add the camera to cloud recording, tap <strong>Yes</strong>, or tap <strong>Later</strong>.</p>
